Overlly played okish last week probably b-game most days. Funday was good game wise but not winning the crucial hands.
Results wise i had a pretty rough week and only tour i had a descent run in 11$ scoop phase.
Bagged 700k when i could have almost a million if didnt loose this last hand.

Made my first ft in a live event tha led to my 1st 5 fig score!
Kinda bitter sweet feeling because ft was super soft but nothing more to do than done.

Day 1b

I decided to played small ball , picking up a lot of small pots trying to float some weak guys and steal pots that favors my range and try to take advantage of weaknesses at any given spot. Nevertheless i was playing mostly with flat calls and as much less bloated pots i could with far less light 3bets than i use to.Afterall we were playing very deap. Tournament started with 500 bbs and 1hr lvls so i knew i could easily find spots to accumulate chips and i knew i didnt had to force things .

I almost doubled vs an agressive guy that hero called me in 2 previus pots that i was bluffing. I 3betted him 3 times before while he was opening from ep so he opens again 900 in 150-300 ante 30 from utg+1 and i pick up aa otb so i 3b in 2700. Everyone folds and he calls.

pot is 5800 and i cbet 3200 he calls

Turn is 9d and i decide to check back because im not getting 3 streets from his pp + i like to give him the chance to bluff with all the fd that called flop and missed turn

River is a jack of diamonds and he checks again so i decide to bet big in order to level him to call with all 1pair type hands because he was such a station. Calls and mucks.
When i asked him in break he said that he had jts with the fd otf and he intented to fold to a turn barrel no matter the sizing. When i betted so big otr he put me in a broadway hand that missed and made the hero call.

After a couple of hands 2 good hs regs came at that table , and in order to see how they were playing i tighten my opening range untill i pick some info.

One was and he sat to my left and the other in my right

Otolas was starting to play very agro and i picked up aq. He open ep and i 3b for value 3x. Karakousis cold call my 3bet and otolas completes.

Flop qd3d5h FD.

I made a bad 1/3 sizing here (we were playing 50 bbs deap eff and i was covering them) so they both flat.

Turn is a Tc, otolas checks and i decide to check back because im worried about karakousis that cold called my 3b and i want to keep pot small . Karakousis check back. At that time i put karakusis in mid strength hand.

River is a 9h and otolas leads 2/3 of pot. I tank and i flat , karakousis folds and otolas shows 9Qo .
I believe its not so good of a call because he doesnt have a lot of bluffs there and it was more of an ego call, not sure about it though.


A bit later i pick up 66 on the lj, i open 2.7x 80bbs deap. Karakousis flats ( at that time i knew he was flating wide and floating) .

Flop 772 fd. I cbet 1/3 and he calls.

Turn 3 i check , he bets 1/2 i call

river 3 and i quick check. he thinks and decides the river is not good for him to bluff and he shows 9To


A lot of similar spots like these happed + a frenzy last 3 lvls hot run picking up hands and win almost any pot i waa involved. Thus i managed to close the day1b from 30k starting stack to 120k being somth like 10/116 for the day 2 that was starting in 5-10k.

DAy 2

Unfortunatelly in day 2 the seat draw puts me in a table oop with one very good loose agressive reg that is also a friend of mine and a lag guy with good live read game in my right. With exeptions 1-2 pots that i take down the first 4 hours i am card dead and just cant find a spot to play. The good agressive friend of mine plays something like 40% of hands so i am a bit handcuffed.
A new guy comes at the table and i pick up q7 it the sb when it comes folded. I limp , he limps back.

Turn J i check and he checks back

River A i check and he bets 1/3 pot.

At this point i dont have any info about the player and i cant find a hand that calls flop and i beat so i fold . he opens t7o with the pure float.
If i played the hand with a reg that i know that is cappable of floating i would
consider calling. After this hand and with me being completelly card dead i began to tilt eventhough i had close to 40bbs

After the next break my friend goes bust kk<aa and i start to pick up some playable hands and win some small pots.I start to open wide and because of my image i am able to take down almost all pots w.o showdown. Then the most critical hand of the tournament comes.My stack at that point is 120k in 2-4k. with a couple of orbits away from blind increase.


i am sitting at the bb and Sb that just sat down is a hs top reg, BUT he does not have a clue about me. He covers me in chips.
Action folded to the sb that opens 9700 i look at my hand and have j8o and i defend.

He fires a bet of 10k and i have an easy call

7 He barrels 30k and i notice that his bet is setting up a pot sized bet left otr and i know i have to take a desiscion there for my tournament life. I believe a good reg is capable of firing 3 barrels in that spot in order to get me to fold a better hand. I took some time and decided that its a perfect spot for me to double up and i have to take it in order to go deap in the tour.
Just when i anounce a call on the turn he stops dealer and he moves all in !!!!! before dealer has a chance to open the river.
For a moment i freezed because i wasnt sure if he could do that , i ask dealer, she confirmes and she deals an ace otr .

I call and he opens q9 .
It was one of the best feelings i ever had in a live tour. I imediatelly stand up because of andrenaline rush and the all the players in table congratulate me for the play. I feel very confident after that hand.


After a couple of orbits with only small pots this hand follows that im not involved



I consider the guy that overcalled jj to be a stuborn hero caller and thats why i play the next hand the way i played it

I open with 30bbs utg with aa . A loose guy in co calls , and the 3bettor ( he is the guy that overcalled w jj) that percieves me as a tight player 3bets me. At that point i have the options of 4b to induce and jam.
Because vilain likes to hero call and will never put me in a monster if i jam i decide to go str8 all in, to rep mid pp and ak ,while im trying to give away false tells that i fear of getting called. he thinks for while and calls with qq to double me up.

The last interesting hand was vs a loose guy that also gave me credit because i almost never went to showdown so they dont have a clue about the range i play.

An active player opens ep , the loose guy flats mp and i decide to squeze from co with ato. Initial folds loose guy calls.
Flop 8q2

I decide to cbet because i dont have showdown value and also i dont have a club so the only possible way to stay uncapped and win the pot is that.
I cbet 40%- 50k and he is thinking for 3-4 minutes when he anounces a c.r to 150k. I realy dont have any room for power play and decide to give up
He turns over jt to completelly own me.

After a couple of orbits the day is over and we are 32 left and itm.
We achieved at least a min cash and i closed the day with 360k in 5-10k.
Not a bad stack after all but we are gonna need some fortune to make the ft

the Q7 hand - I think we should be calling river, trying to not be results oriented here because apparantly he floats absolutely everything lol but I think when he caps his range from quite some Ax by checking pre, very likely bets all his Jx apart from J6 ott and ends up with some diamonds and 6x wo showdown value otr we have to just hero him here. He might bet some Ax he does have ott as well which skews his range more towards those bluffhands. Would be nice to know how he likely plays diamonds on the turn. Think we can very safely assume he doesn't valuebet K high here? If he's capable of that I would fold river but otherwise I call pretty quickly tbh

J8 hand is very interesting. Think turn he has plenty of bluffs so seems like a clear call but ofc because of stacksize/sizing you know it will be awkward. I think the situation on river becomes a lot better for us once he jams it in blind. His valuerange ott will be Kx+ prob and he has all diamonds, gutters, QT, not sure if he always wants to take this line w AT/AQ. Once he jams blind though, he hardly has value anymore imo. Kx hands want to see a river before valuejamming, AT and AQ can shift in equity on rivers quite hard so can't make that play or at least it's far from optimal, can't really see him doing that with sets because he'd at least want to see if a diamond peels off otr.... I think his range gets skewed suuuperhard at this point to the Q9/9T gutters, diamonds and he does have all QT combos probably. So vs that range you can comfortably call river and pray he doesn't have QT this time. Even better if you don't have a diamond. Really do hope he never finds the blind riverjam with AT/AQ though bc that would suck

with the flush completed. so primarilly his gs with king have me beat and his qhigh have a bit showdown value. Fixing those i think we beat literally nothing exept pure floats which im not sure he is the kinda player that goes w them otf

Final Day

At the 3rd day i was allready itm with 2.7k mincash locked. Stack 35 BBs
32 left with 60k top.

At the 1st table i didnt had the chance to play a lot of hands at first because there were a lot of short stacks shoving and also it didnt take a lot of time to get the eliminations needed to break our table and move to another one for the final 3 tables.

The 2nd table i joined was very soft and i felt really comfortable opening a lot of hands and take down pots with cbets and rarelly double barrels.
At my left i had a huge whale that i tried to get involved with in as many pots i could and i manage to take a lot of his chips.
3 seats on the right was a dear friend of mine very good agressive mid stakes pro that we also swaped with 10% the 2nd day.
2 seats to my left unfortunatelly i had Ilios72 a succesfull reg that is hsmtt pro since 2009 with imressive results online and live.

1st key hand i reshove 28bbs AK vs 10 bbs shove and i hold vs QT
After a while i open 68 lj and whale flats me. Low board comes i cbet and he folds . I also limp all sb that is folded to me and bet any flop. After 3 limp bets i get reraised on cbet and he shows 55 in 527 fd.

I pick up 27 on the sb and its folded again i limp.
Flop kq3 i bet 36 % he calls.
Turn 5 i Bet 60 % and i have a pot sized bet left he swears and folds. Ez game

I open jts on the co and get reshoved 20bbs from a tag player.

After the reshove i get delt a lot of garbage and im passive a couple of orbits and we are playing 6 handed after a couple of eliminations so we are something like 16 players left. Ft is gonna be 10handed.

I get AQo (600k stack in 15-30k) in the co i open 65k and bb that is a fish that is playing alot of hands defends.

Pot is 160k and he leads 60k. At that point im pretty sure most of his range is draws like 67 or smth like mid pp that he doesnt know how to play it.
I cant find anything than a call there .

Timovic checked and something a bit unusual happened, M.E. bet the minimum, 30,000. Timovic was obliged to call with anything and did so.


The river was an offsuit Q. Timovic checked and almost came out of his seat when he saw that M.E. had outdrawn him on the river with QT



After that the short stack doubles through kamatakis.

I pick up ATo to the sb and its folded to me. Btn mr with 16 bbs and i shove .

Next hand he busts and we play 8handed.

Next orbit blinds goes up and my friend busts ak<qq so 8 left.

I pick up a2s and the btn (the short that doubled from kamatakis before ) minraises with 16bbs and i shove to get a fold.

The guy in my left gets cripled a hand or 2 later ak<aa and we are 7 handed.

I pick up q5s in the sb 13 bbs , standard shove get snaped from the bb with TT and we cant get there. GG and a bittersweat feeling from my 1st live ft and my biggest score.

Player on my left is loose player with low fold to cbet so i decide to cbet for a lot of reasons. Opinions ?

Been super busy last 2 months with a lot of news.
1st of all ive got hanged last week






The other big think is that my backer decided to close the stable so im a freelancer from now on. I got a bit less than 5figs for Br so i will think how i will proceed. probably im gonna play on my own a bit lower than usual and see how it goes.

I decided to go solo for a while and see if it works for me after talking with some fellow poker players

My Br will be 8k atm so i will be playing something like a 12 Abi with close to 700 abi safety.

Schedule
Daily: play 3+R $, 8$ and 15$ 180s and mix some mtts from 5$ to 27$ + BB33, Hot33
For starters the balance will be 50% 180s and 50% mtt to reduce variance except Sundays that i will probably play only mtt.
For over 1k "makeup" i will probably play 70-30% 180s/Mtt
For over 2k makeup i will play only 180s until i grind back loss
These safety nets should keep me from being in the danger zone
I will try not to cashout untill roll reaches 20k and im proper rolled to play back where i used to (smth like abi 20)

I will not play in other sites but stars atm, and i will not pursuit any live sats

Just about to close up (with some encouraging results) August my first month palying solo after almost 3 years of being backed.
I would be happy with any + outcome but it turned out to be one good month despite not running good when it matters.
