Played 100,000 hands of 5nl fast fold on PartyPoker in November/December, pretty much on auto pilot . Frustrated with my mental game and progress I tilted hard at the end and donked off my last 100$.

I took a break and played live and made some good money,but I kinda hate sitting there for like 8 hours and my bankroll is my liferoll basically.


This thread is more to keep me in check than anything else since I really like making stupid plays when I'm on autopilot for too long.
I play 2 hours per day max. I play an hour around 4 PM,then walk my dog and come back and play another at around 8PM. This seems to work best for me in avoiding tilt

I deposited around 50$ and started playing zoom 5NL on stars recently and the field is crazy soft (imo)

If I can get to 50NL and make ~1k$ a month this will put me in such a good place in my country,I would probably be top 1% salary wise and I believe I can achieve this with some studying.

Hey OP,

IMO you should drop to 2NL for a bit if you're not a confirmed winner at 5NL and only have 10bi's for it (no offence intended). I'd also invest $10 of that into an Essential RIO subscription and watch some videos, it'll be worth it!

K9cc - remember that you block his T9 busted draws and you have a ton of better hands here (87, 88, 77, KQ)

I would guess PartyPoker is still softer than 5nl on stars? I would think about playing there while you are working on your game perhaps, and echo above about being more conscious of bankroll management, there's no shame in playing 2nl. GL man, I hope you run it up!

I feel like my game won't improve at 2NL and 60$ isn't a tremendous amount of money if I do indeed go bust.

There's not much logic for the K9cc call, my only reasoning for the call was that his value range is too tight or something, I need to improve my mental game.



The player pool is much smaller and any 4bet is kk,aa pretty consistently.
The thing is I have improved as a player over the past months so maybe I am biased.
