I use a mask too, actually, but I just use an airnium one. No smoking where I play though.

lol. what's the point of using the mask then? is it a fashion statement or to hide your expression?

Had a pretty good 5.5 hour session yesterday at the casino playing 5/5. The 5/5 in the casino is quite deep (buy in from 400 to 1500) which gives quite a good edge to the better players. Anyway, I ran super well and won a biggish pot around 1.5k by bad-beating a fish. I just kept quiet after winning the hand as good etiquette but deep inside I was like "holy **** that happened LOL".

Total was up 1.7k for the night yay! Feels good to have some money coming in considering the fact that I might be made redundant at my job soon.

Oh shiittttt!!! Just confirmed that I'm going to be made redundant in my job. Last day is on Thursday. What am I going to do with my life......

Just joking!!! I'm actually quite happy about the whole thing. I've been too complacent in that job and have been wanting to explore something for a while now. So this is the best way to go about it, especially since I'm going to be paid quite a hefty redundancy payout (I re-calculated and it is going to be around 32k, instead of the 38k that I thought initially). Oh well, still pretty good after all.

I'm taking a bit of a break and going to an island vacation for a week on Saturday and then to Melbourne for 1.5 week for a poker series. After that, I'll head back to Malaysia for a month where my mum and dad and lil sis are at, and spend some time catching up with them. During the month, I'll use Malaysia as a base to travel around South East Asia for a bit.

So yeah stay tuned for more to come in the next few weeks.

A bit of chip porn from Saturday's session which went really well (in for 1.2k). Had a really good session on Sunday too. Was up 2.7k for that session after making a hero call for stacks against a friend of mine who's a pro.

damn it. I just found out that the position I applied for in the company was not filled in the re-structure. So pretty they just simply think I'm not good enough for it, and instead advertised it to the wider company for a better suited person. What a kick in the guts to my confidence.....

So played 3 sessions since I lost my job. Nothing much happened. Was card dead most of the time and tried to make some unnecessary moves and bluffs. Lost about 200 in total. I need to be more mindful around making too much unnecessary bluffs. The rake is too high for marginal plays to be profitable in the casino games.

Had lunch with my team yesterday and said goodbye to everyone. It was good to catch up for 1 last time. Had kebab with scotch fillet and mash potatoes and a glass of wine. It was free as the company was paying for it. **** yes I'm taking all the free food that I can get now that I'm jobless. Going to Rarotonga for holiday tomorrow for 1 week. Gonna start packing now.
