What's up guys, people might recognize me from my NVG spam posting or BBV **** posting or SSPLO semi helpful semi troll posts (i spend too much time on forums....), and some might know i've had a bunch of PG&C's that always die. This one though is different (he said optimistically ).

I'm going to prove to myself I have what it takes to climb the stakes and actually make a financial dent in the poker economy to spend on hookers and blow (aka junk food and video games, i'm a baller like that).

I've played about 220k hands of PLO this year learning the game and working with different study material, with the most of that volume coming at 10 PLO. I am somewhat comfortable though at 25 PLO with 50k hands and want to try my best to keep this my main limit (and onwards to bigger and better stakes).

2017 YTD PLO graph

(shoutout to pokerstars for the ~5k in rake paid)

Plan to keep this simple and not too structured so I don't burn out on being forced to post , will hopefully update with graphs / fun hands / me getting owned / good music, hoping it will help me stay motivated to keep up high volume and study and maybe meet some cool people along the way - HMU if you play similar stakes and want to chat poker beyond the forums

GL ALL let's crush the last bit of 2017 and onto 2018!

going to be going hard this week ( off work 3 days ) grinding mostly reg tables 5 or 10 PLO and studying super hard. Also going to write up a post in marketplace and trying to potentially find a backer for 25 PLO I imagine for a 50-100k hand contract so I can play freely without worrying about the swings and just play confidently with my reads / play deep stacked where I feel my game is stronger without worrying about busting roll if I lose a couple of 200bb flips.

If I have no luck finding a good match i am 100% confident I can climb my way back up (and support bankroll once some life issues clear up that have been sucking $$$). Plan to do this $100 into $200 at 5 plo , then 10 PLO until $750 and back to 25

If anyone may be interested shoot me a pm with your skype or discord and we can talk / i can send you pics of my stats etc

cheers guys

interesting day had work so played bit in morning and a bit at night, day was good until I saw a 10 PLO ante table with 5 marked fish and 70% vpip on lobby lol, as you can see that went lovely. (10z from random 1 tabling while watching cumicon podcast)

Mini roll at $97 going into tommorow, off work so plan to put in a healthy session of as many 5 plo tables as i can load. Restricting myself to no 10 PLO until over 200 again

Update to my plan is grind this roll into whatever I can until an IRL loan situation clears up (aka i get paid back from someone) or I find a stake for 25 PLO. Rip clickbait thread title until then :P

legend ITT! Cheers m8 , and it seems like you would love PLO coming from hypers, the love of flipping lots of money and big winning and losing days! I'm sure if you truly set yourself to learning the great game you would crush considering your insane work ethic! But def. looks like printing money doing what you do and being the best is more appealing than re-learning a new game :P

----

Alright spent the day playing MTTs and had a ton of fun whilst grinding some training videos on the side , going to take a break then play a couple thousand hands of the 4 card game like a good boy and posting a big nice graph in the morning.

Also updated my stars tables so they look like I am actually playing in 2017 , had the default setup for sooo long (and switched to 4 card deck) think i'm due for a massive upswing in everything I play now for finally changing.

Off work Sunday so going to put in a long MTT grind, put up a couple packages in market place to cut down variance if anyone wants to pick up some run good equity (MTTs are seperate from this plo roll I am donking around with while i figure things out)
quick link;

Alright first post for the week, coming off a 8am until ~9 pm MTT grind yesterday that ended in slight profit (~19th in $7.50 bounty builder, ~54th in mini sunday marathon) back to the PLO streets!
felt super confident all day and was very happy with my play -bb graph
the way my stakes worked out (sold 60% of one pack/ (free rolled into red spade that i busted) i ended day roughly +$60-70)

Spoiler:

Going through some PLO lab videos again to re-inforce concepts ( as well as going through upswing's MTT course) because no matter what I will always love MTT's and would love to be able to up my win rate there as well :P Pros always reccomend to never play multiple game types if you ever want to be successful coming up but I like the challenge / i'm stubborn

5 PLO so far back on the come-up

Haven't found a stake yet for 25 PLO , but also haven't made a post/ still debating on it since it seems silly to get staked for such low stakes. If you're interested pm me we can work something out

let's aim for 10k hands this week minimum hopefully more

more boring MTT content but was up until 6 am the other day after a 'quick mtt session before bed' (accidentally regg'd a non turbo) and ended up 5th in $5.50 bounty builder

Dear Ceelightly,

You finished the tournament in 5th place. A USD 167.93 award has been credited to your Stars Account.
You have also received USD 56.08 in Knockout Bounties for this tournament.

As a nice session saver from being -$150 on the day in mtts and sngs lol

Going through upswing MTT course at the moment and super into MTTs but still playing about 500 hands of PLO a day and that's been going aight

month at mtts:

(up over 100 on month maybe 150 because there were a couple 50$ tournies I was freerolled into for 20% eq that busto'd)

but was up overall on the day for MTTs, still up on month by $150-200 from mtts.

Also dropped ~3 buyins at 10 PLO over like 200 hands , $20 worth of calling with K flush vs a spot where villain has essentially only nut flush or nothing back to back to back then random lost flip

(125th in the mini million for $125.) but won a 2.50 180 man and a 3.50 45 man yesterday while on 4 advils so that made back my losses, other than that not much. PLO to clear my chest boost or w.e mostly and watching training videos.

Gl bro, I always wanted to learn some plo but so far nothing. Maybe you motivate me.
Don't you think about playing on other sites? Easier to put more volume on stars, but if you get a nice rakeback deal and first deposit bonus plus very soft player pool (matters more at higher stakes) you can get a very nice winrate. Jnandez did that in his bankroll challenge, playing on microgaming.
    Anyways, wish you luck dude!

Not really sure what to say, besides I am back to poker and more motivated than ever. Had some IRL issues come up withdrew roll and didn't play or really watch or study poker for around 2.5 months. In a better situation at the moment and really wanting to take a big swing at poker and keep up with this title of 2018 being a successful year and climbing from 25PLO to 200 Finally playing with a healthy roll for 25 PLO and not just shot taking with small #s of buy-ins. Planning to do at least some of this journey on twitch once I am comfortable playing again and feel I can talk / multi task while playing without it hurting too much. If you might be interested follow www.twitch.tv/ROBm . Also streaming games occasionally with friends for 0 viewers :P

I will post here once I am playing poker on it!

Let's see we'll start off with the graph.. Swingy session and I believe I played for roughly 6-7 hours all 4 tabling zoom. Nice bonus to end in the (+)

    Also got these...

Planning to keep them until I have 100 so I can get all my pennies all at once perhaps in some scuffed I hate stars video

And also top 3 pots of the session (somehow managed to get a LOT of $100+ pots swinging around this session, deepstack PLO ftw)

Quick update, last two days PLO has been a dumpster fire ev line going down but won ~5 buyins or so at 25nl 2 board NL so maybe that is the solution, trade 2 of my cards for 2 boards

(might drop to 10 plo for 1 or 2 sessions and focus a bit more or just stop sucking at 25 im not sure, session last night was +$10 and -$170 ev somehow even though I felt like I was running garbage all session ??)

Another quick update, sundays are rigged - sold a package that ended up slightly losing got run over by top of peoples ranges in everything then deep run in sunday storm ended at 133rd out of ~28900 people for $150 .. $25k up top so .. almost close but no cigar think my last deep run was 125th in mini million so hopefully I break top 100 in a big sunday tourney soon.
Highlights of my bustout boomplayers / random bbv from package here:
          https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...KjE/edit#gid=0

Ended up in the profits on day though because partypoker sent me a random $55 ticket for free and noticed it last second in the day - regg'd sunday last chance and min cashed for $155 so that was nice.

On the 4 cards streets 25 PLO is spanking me for the most part , 15k hands and -$300 or so.
Dropped to have some 10 PLO sessions and running hot up over $100 in 2k hands, hopefully I can reverse these two.. or alternatively start crushing both stakes :P

Will make a more detailed update with pretty pictures sometime this week

OP getting beat up at every micro stake this month , only 10 days in though and 18k hands, hoping to have a 75k+ hand month and turn around the results.

TLDR is I am about -40 buyins total big blinds-wise , think break down is a little at 25 before having to drop down, getting rekt at 10 then trying to get some 'feel good 5 plo sessions' in and getting rekt for 30 buyins there :?

Studying hard and playing hard things will turn around, 2018 is still going to be my strongest year in poker yet and i'll have a fun update... soon (TM)

          (gross graph warning)

          Spoiler:

          --

Also question to anyone, what do you think about cash game staking? Do you think I am better off trying to get good results at up to 25 plo then seeking staking to comfortably move up and not sweat the swings as hard or just rip and run up and down stakes with the swings? (but pocketing all the $ / enjoying the massive upswings plo sometimes offers)

In MTTs i've always been happy selling pieces / managing packages on my own but not being locked into a contract for x amount (typically stables want like 2 years out of you), and unsure how cash game staking works - if I can do like 50k hand stake contracts or if its all time oriented / locked in for a year etc.

          Well this happened...

Sold a package cause I was off work today and PLO has been going super brutal, end up one tabling big 11 for like 6+ hrs and chop heads up vs aggro brazil guy who was streaming and had big 3:1 chip lead. I had 50% of myself , still biggest online score i've had after many super miserable bustouts deep in big mtts. Another plus side is a good friend of mine I met through poker had 40% of me and he's invested in me for awhile so it felt good to get a score in for him.

let's see if I can parlay this into either more tournament scores or not being terrible at PLO

Almost made it two huge field FTs in a week, felt ****ty to not even make FT with 50 left I had 4 bb stack and spun it up to top 4 chip stack / felt like everything was going great then dwindled a bit / shoved J8s 10bb bvb and ran into QJo for bust out / at one point a guy shoved with bounty and i made a tight-ish fold that I think was a mistake overall but on top of that i would have got it in super dominated but sucked out if I had reshoved so result oriented missing that 250 bounty /bigger chip stack is kind of annoying with 20 left but oh well!
