Hi,

i have made a poker challenge before and kind of quit but things ended up alright after losing backer and having to work a real job. NOw im back in school and just grinding poker with no job for a couple years now. For last 6 months ive been playing 100NL, 50NL and 25NL zone on Bovada, but my account was banned for getting friends to make accounts and get their deposit bonus for which i have no regrets. Now im gonna play on Americas Cardroom just on my own account because they have rakeback. I deposited and things went poorly quickly. Playing anonymous zoom is way different than regular tables with regulars also playing a bunch of tables and im down from my original 1k BR which i intended to just play 50NL with down to 580, but ive lost 481 total on here so far. Im going to play 25NL until im back over at least 750$ and hopefully 1k$ and thats my poker goal. If i end up losing my 580 ill just begrudgingly deposit again, which isnt a big deal id just rather not do it, and i think while its prolly pretty common to have a 500$ swing playing 50NL and 25NL in 11k hands (maybe its not idk) i feel like im not the best player and not dominant like i felt i was on Bovada. I feel like im lost playing with a HUD for the first time since blackfriday and am just having an overall problem adjusting.

So this is my blog of holding myself accountable playing 25NL until i get the BR over 1k, hopefully only lasts a couple weeks but we will see.

Will update after end of each day, plan on playing ~4 hours a day

Well first session went really well. lost 115, played 50NL 9 max because not enough 6max 25NL tables running. Lost in pretty hilarious ways. AK< QJ all in pre, kings to AJ all in pre, made top set in 3 way pot, guy turned double gutter, got there on river when i had 1 pot sized bet left for river after calling turn. Guy calls SB to BB raise with the 46o and gets dream flop when i have overpair JJ, luckily doesnt get very much. Folded Jacks in a 3bet pot wehre guy bet all three streets and shoved river. Seems like i never have a hand, never get paid when i have a hand, and they always get miracle things to happen when i have good hands and then get paid off for it. Whatever, tomorrow is a new day.

Good sessions today, decided to group sessions by calender days, played another session last night and lost like 40 bucks in silly ways. When youre on a bad run it is just comical sometimes and it helps to laugh at things when u are constantly getting beats. Ended up winning biggest pot with top set vs made straight, so got lucky there but obv a cooler either way. Hit only card to get me action in another pot. had 59dd and raised button to two guys who fold blinds alot, guy 3 bet me small and i called. Flop was A210d he checked i checked, turn was 3d giving me gutter and FD, he bet 1$ into like 4$ and i raised to 3$ thinking he had either 3 aces or JJ-KK, he called, river Kd and he had KK, so i got it all. Ended up winning 24$ on the day and the BR is up to 490 now. Added rakeback and bonus on first deposit that u can do whenever i guess so that makes up other dollar or whatever. Played 3:49 and only played 2200 hands, that seems pretty low to me but prolly just cuz im not playing a bunch of tables. Im playing all the 9 max games i can because i think those are softer than 6 max games, and 6 6max games, plan to continue that in the future, as i get more comfortable playing with HUD and not just anon player pools in zone ill add more though. Felt for the first time today like game was same as always, and people werent playing some high level secret game that it felt like when i started. Gonna play alot more loose aggressively and not as scared as i was. Just got used to playing robotic way in the anon zone games, now gotta adapt to the players and attack what i perceive their weaknesses to be

Not much going on today, got killed playing 9max again, but broke even on day, managed to lose 3$. Played for 2 hours 15 minutes. Because its different from zoom in htat i cant just log in and immediately play, i think my goal should be 4.5 hours or maybe 5 hours a day. If i get BR above 750 which is a long way off ill start adding tables, but happy with turning it around at 25NL 6 max and not down 10 buyins playing that anymore

Getting smoked, thinking back on bovada playing similar stakes i think i had -1k downswings 2 times in 5 months i believe, but think its more than that. Its a different game than anonymous tables so im gonna drop down yet again to 10NL until i get the BR up to 600, then 25NL to 1k then back to 50NL. Not in a good mental space from being beaten so bad, not hte most money ever but its debilitating to lose 1900 bbs, so taking a break for like a week, gonna watch videos, eat healthy and workout a little bit get some confidence back and then back to the grind

Well back at it, playing 10NL now, and played some 5$ sngs, naturally bubbled one of them after guy was all in against flush and made full house then i got A10 in against 34o lol, guy raised to 400 then called off 2k ship, pretty horrible imo. If he was good he would just ship there and i woulda lost anyway, cuz he had all the chips and others all had like same chips, should just be shipping not raise calling it off but thats why people suck i guess im just tilted i lost. Won like 2$ playing .05-.1 so whatever

hoping to have BR back to 1k by the middle of march, i have spring break and a wsop circuit event is gonna be in my area, doesnt effect what ill play or anything, but just would feel better about myself if i did it

Couple good sessions today, won and was still like 10$ under all inEV, so thats great. Glad i took a break and am coming back, things broke my way today, only played 780 hands but am comfortable playing 8 tables, only played an hour and change. Happy with how everything went today, hoping things continue and i gain more and more confidence playing here.

woo, another couple good sessions, including my biggest in terms of bbs. Just things went well, normal hands nothing crazy, getting good hands. Did get AA vs KK and won, also had AQ all in pre against Aj and won too, could just have easily had Ak i guess, but i ripped he called it off. won 48.83, feel on top of the world lol. Played 9 tables today with ease. Getting the hang of the HUD, making notes on players that i play with alot, just important stuff like anything that sticks out if they cbet everytime or they never fold bb to steals or something and notable hands, something i gotta keep doing and have a little profile on the players i play with all the time. Prolly behind the times when thinking of doing something like that but have been on anon bovada and havent played with hud on stars or ftp in like 4 years so ya. HOpe things continue tomorrow, played 2 hours and change today, maybe more tomorrow who knows, i am sick so cant ski unfortunately and its super cold anyway, so only online poker to play.

Didnt play hardly at all today, just 485 hands and for like 1 hour total. Lost 26$, including AQ all in pre against 56s lol and another where i flopped open end straight flush draw with A high FD against guy who was a looney tune who i beat last pot which was like 3$, u know whatever, if i win both those i win like 5 or 6$ total. Unlikely ill play much tomorrow but u never know.

Won some amount last night after midnight, dont really remember detaisl but did get lucky to win a flip and/or had a flush draw with overs beat a pair of 10s i think though might be remembering that wrong. Added rakeback and deposit bonus for last couple days

Crushing defeat today, lost some unlucky spots but mostly just being undisciplined and dumb. Looking at the 5 biggest lost pots today they were all kind of tilt induced plays, i just feel bad im playing so low stakes and should just win, im losing at 10NL now which just makes me feel like a loser. I played like 50NL and 100NL everyday in highschool no problem, i realize that was different times but still. Watching a couple videos really makes me realize how flawed my decision making is in alot of spots, and im just over it right now, so im gonna go play some live poker for a while and come back to this when i come back to it. Just doesnt make sense to play here and scratch and claw against regs for such little amounts of money when i could just play against droolers live who are way worse for way more money. Bovada was just so damn easy, really regret just not playing on my own account now, am gonna ditch my hand chart and play more freely and try to adjust more to the opponents. Definitely will be playing a lot less in next month at least. Will continue to play though. I think i should just play tournies on here anyway honestly, just so many regs playing cash. Whatever, ill go skiing, play live, and chill out for a while, watch some videos here and just try to do some off the table work and hopefully come back and be able to beat these small stakes, just have no confidence now and am tilting and its all bad

Got a run it once account, watched a bunch of videos, feel like i have a more to date idea of how to play now, and am excited to be able to play. Lost 8.07 but had AA vs top set in a 3bet pot, and had QQ to AA as cold 4 bettor, think both of those are unavoidable spots where i am ahead of the opponents range they just happened to have it, so it is what it is.

Lost 18.84 today in 2700 hands, just can win. Havent had a winning EV session in like 7 sessions at 10NL lol. Literally a month ago on bovada i was up like 2k playing 50 and 25NL in like 40 or 50 hours of zone, like wtf am i just running bad or suck. Playing against the same people over and over again and never able to win is just lame. Its such a different game, gotta tighten up post flop i guess, watch some more videos and get the hang of this asap bc this is embarrassing. Only bright spot is that i got alot more rakeback and bonus bc of playing a bunch today, not counting it yet tho.

Decided to play some SNGs and MTT's, i think thats the best move considering my BR on here and the amount of regs at the cashgames, just seems like its banging my head against the wall to try to grind it out. This is the plan now anyway, so playing 5$ sngs and 10$mtts and mostly 5$ mtts until BR is 500, then 10$ stuff, but ive noticed the 10$ sngs dont really run, but alot of 5$ ones do, and seem pretty soft. Had a good winning day which included God moding the last batch of them i was playing and winning every flip. Cashed in like 13$ of rakeback too i had stored up, cashed 2 of the tournies for min cash in 10$ buyin and unfortunately had a bunch of chips in a 1$ tourny that was 4k guarantee but only ended up cashing for like 3$

Had a big 5$ sng session, played like 10 of them prolly, won a bunch tho, was really cool. And now im like 90th in the rake leaderboard race somehow and getting 15$

Just wrapped up pretty frustrating session, had one sng won like 5 handed if i win KK vs J10, woulda had like 7k chips with everyone else having like 1500, had a couple times wehre i put all money in ahead heads up and lost, just a bummer. Think i played about 10 sngs, the 5$ ones havent been running as much, but ran tonight so i played...gotta get the BR over 500 so i can play 10$ ones and maybe jump in some tournys. Dont wanna play cash anymore for now because my HUD free trial is up and idk how worth it it would be to buy it for 100$ or whatever right now, i guess i could but wanna try to at least get up to 600$ BR and playing 25NL before i do it.

Played 4 sngs after getting home from class, woulda played more but wanna watch the challenge. Will prolly be able to play more now that skiing season is over with. Typing this as im still in 2 of them, called it off with KQ with 6bbs after CO raised to 3bbs lo he had the A9 and won, in the other i lost so far i ripped 15bbs over limpter with 1010 and he snapped with the 69 for what was all of his chips too, immediately got there too. Amazing to me how poeple play with under 10bbs. Lost to another idiot 3 handed now, really thought i was gonna win that one cuz other players suck and i had alotta chips, button raised to 500, sb called and i ripped 4k with 77, SB made spectacular call with the KJo and got there. Got one left, gotta win it, not looking good right now, have 1300 at 75-150 but we will see. Couldnt get it done, rode the broom as much as possible but lost flip to guy who minraised alot then folded to their shoves when everyone had like 7bbs, made the crying call after tanking mind you with 88 against me and won, obviously guys a guru

Pretty bad session, the opposite of what happened the other day where i won every flip and won like 4 or 5 of them, played a bunch bricked like all of them. Had alot of unlucky stuff happen, is what it is though. Won the last one though, so some silver lining...Gonna be important if they keep running to play every night now that there is no skiing so i can get on the leaderboard and get cash from that.

These are all pretty bland and boring, played a couple over the weekend but didnt update here prolly cuz i was slowly losing. Was at like 389 then all the way down to like 360 but then qualified for sit n crush thing somehwo and got 15$ and played just now and did really well and won a bunch. Got lucky in key spots and adjusted my strategy a little thanks to my friend who used to play 55$+ sngs on stars before black friday. Prolly running better and my adjusted strategy kicking in and crushed this session. Needed it for the confidence. Really am enjoying playing sngs. This week im supposed to play live poker (yuck) because a circuit event was scheduled and it was my spring break from school so it woulda worked out perfect...but cincy stop was cancelled so im not gonna play. Although and you wouldn't know it by this poor performance in this thread i play 2-5 mostly live and was planning on playing when it runs 5-10 just depending on how things have been going and they ran 5-10 yesterday i saw so might cut into playing here, but every night i think ill be on here grinding away as long as the 5$ ones run, if i manage to get to 500$ ill jump into 10$ ones as well. Might play some MTTs if i run it up too, gotta be in the mood for that though, prolly would need to have won last couple sessions and feeling good to do that just because tournys while i understand i can make more money doing it, just seem like a long long grind that i dont really wanna do

my internet is so terrible. I have cincinnati zoomtown and it just doesnt work alot of times, and has alot of problems , but the last week has been crazy horrible. Lost one that was luckily a 3$ one because the tourny window just closed and i couldnt get the lobby back up and in the meantime was playing others that i had opened, so i guess i just blinded out in that one, pretty frustrating but i didnt have much chips in it at least, and had lots of chips in the others i had up at the time. Anyway i played a couple, 5 and 3 sngs, won a little, bankroll inching closer to the 500$ mark

Was ready to have another big session, just got a little unlucky on bubble a couple times and got 3rd in one i was supposed to win, always tomorrow. In a good position to cash again in the Sit n crush which is nice, i dont think i play high enough to do anything other than try to mincash in it basically. time to watch the challenge

I can't see how intending to play 50NL with a $1k BR could ever be a good idea esp in an anonymous game.
