Question: Is it still a coffee bet at $2bb? Cheeseburger bet?

This bloke sounds like another reason for your poker players being the cesspit of humanity theory. I can't believe some people would go out of their way to just be a complete **** to others. They get absolutely nothing out of it but just bring so much negative energy into their lives and others.

Truly, I think the poker community houses some of the worst imaginable people!

Haha in fairness, when I said it in your thread I meant it affectionately. But you’re right. A lot of poker players are the absolute worst.

Other than that I spent most of the day value betting non-nutted hands vs fish on rivers and getting the dreaded min-raise. Genuinely not sure there's a worse feeling in poker haha.

Off to London to see some MTT buddies tomorrow. But they have a decent grind set up down there, so I'll still be trying to keep the volume up.

Going for a poker Xmas lunch today and then travelling back home this evening.

Had some more fun interactions with Khrzpkr23, who last night told me purposefully tries to look nerdy on his insta, but is in face a power-lifter who could beat up everyone in the 200z pool. Amazing.

Haha, I dunno what to tell you there man. That seems inordinately low. Apparently you're 1/10000 on platinum chests to hit the $1k. I did also play a few hours of Stars blackjack earlier in the week while waiting on a flight, so could be what Blakkman said .

Played really well today I think. I do think that I'm slightly over-folding in certain spots vs the 200z population, but from what I've seen it's likely a valid adjustment.

Also did a few hours of PIO/H2N work with a mate today and feeling way more confident about a couple of recurring spots where I was kinda just mashing buttons before.

-----------------------------------

Got the last game of the 5s season before the winter break tonight. It's a dead rubber as we had a couple of forfeits this season due to injuries and holidays all coming at once. We're playing the team that have a lock on 2nd, but if our better players show up then it should be an easy win for the good guys.

It's so so dark and cold here like 90% of the time right now, and I'm struggling for motivation to want to do anything. After the summer we had, I no longer feel like I'm conditioned for these long winters! I've ordered one of those ultra bright SAD lamps for the office, and started taking multi-vitamins to see if that helps. On the plus side, I've been able to do loads of studying and reading. I always read like 10x more often in the Winter. Currently working my way through the new Michael Lewis book 'The Fifth Risk', as well as 'Sapiens' by Yuval Harari. Sapiens is super interesting, and I'm a big big fan of ML. He's the absolute best at laymanising (word??) things without making the reader feel like an idiot.

How much was the food? Were those only for 1 people or divided between 2? Were you full after eating?

So each person gets everything on the menu at TBS. Tasting menus are generally lots of small portions, and this was no exception. Ridiculously full up by the end of it, especially considering each dish has a beer or wine pairing. Think the menu was around £110 (£135) per person. Aimee booked it 6 months in advance for my birthday. I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t see value in it, or would consider the whole thing a bit gluttonous. But personally I absolutely love fine dining and trying new food and drinks.
