Havent played many MTT's since ending my mtt stake (mutual agreement fwiw) but today i decided to play close to $500 worth of like a donkey. Life roll is over 20k so i decided to break out of my nitty DoN shell today and take a shot. Finished 70~ from the money in the $162 100k (cooler -_-) busted a $66 25k,$109 10k 6max, $55 30k

and then my last mtt of the night bails me out and gives me some profit for my 10 hours of stress




Depositing $250 on wpn. I know i should start mtts back up but the lifestyle is very taxing. Im thinking about playing 25plo and putting in extra work to take my game to the next level. I could always play select mtts on sunday. Eventually i dream of being a full time plo grinder + the vip system on WPN motivates me to grind more.

So ever since my mtt stake ended i've just been focusing on dons and playing the occasional mtt. My plan on WPN was to deposit small amounts and play mtts here and there and hopefully bink something and then start moving forward with mtts on my own dime. Well today it finally happened. After being down $500 after a couple of weeks i finally binked something Im going to withdraw wpn down to $2,000 and play mtts up to $22 with the occasional $33. Feels good to get back into the mtt community!

Cash games are not variance free. Doug Polk had a 1 year down swing in cash games. I think he said it was around 1.7m he lost and this is when he was at the top of the mountain at the time. I know heavy volume players that have gone a few months of losing with +ev line and were talking around half a million hands. I have had a few 50 buyin down swings that lasted almost 2 months. You can't avoid the variance in poker sooner or later a storm is coming. I know a mtt grinder that ran up 150k his first 3 years grinding around 30k mtts then the next 3 years grinding 30k mtts lost around 50k. Can decrease variance but not sure you can't get rid of it unless your Ben Tollerene.

Hey bud, thanks for checking in. Im still playing alot of dons but slowed down on mtts. When WPN had ddos attacks during the summer regularly, me and my mtt backer ended the deal. It was in the middle of a downswing aswell so we mutually decided to just end the headache. WPN hasnt had any ddos issues for a couple of months now so im thinking of getting back into mtts soon on my own dime this time.

Havent played much this month, i had really bad allergies for a week and was involved in my kids school alot for festivities so volume took a hit but im ok with that. I plan on finishing the year strong and really only taking time off for thanksgiving and christmas. I also want to start mtt's up again on my own dime in the next month or so, playing $0-$22.

2 months ago I won a package to the live cage even in costa rica so i have to get a passport soon. Ill be going to the event that runs at the end of march.

In the middle of a session now, looking to finish up in an hour or 2 then study for 30 minutes or so. A quick bite to eat after that and then bed time.

I use a netti pot for allergies. You don't want to do it to often cause you don't want to kill all the bacteria in your nose but I do it like once a month and my allergies is way down compared to before i used it. I used to have really bad allergies. Make sure you use bottle water not tap.
