One of biggest misconceptions people have is they dont actually realise that actually being very good at doing something yourself is WAY different skill set than being able to actually explain it and help someone else learn it themselves. Never really commited to doing much coaching outside Bit B as with the kid and working 60 hours plus working on my game and getting gym have so little free time but hit me up if your interested can work something out and talk hourly rate or w.e.

after posting monday ended up getting like 3 hours sleep and felt so groggy so thought fk it and skipped grind yesterday. Ended up binge watching Sons of anarchy and did maybe like 3 hours study. Good friend of mine evidencesk (who got PGC im pretty sure) ended up doing a stream for like 4 of us which was pretty cool its crazy how good seeing things in real time and doing something interactive like that makes learning and picking stuff up so much easier then sitting crunching numbers in the lab

i think its probably like one of best learning tools and Bit B recently started do a weekly one for the guys for all the high stakes stuff on Tuesday. But the main problem is besides the doug polks of this world or guys that genuinely trying to build a brand in poker, the MTT guys on twitch just all kind of train wrecks Obviously besides tonka (shoutout tonka)

to be honest i cant really knock them as im sure the guys with stars deals probably make at least double what i do, not profit but with the commercial side of subs/sponsers donations etc. If i am grinding my girlfriend can very rarely get one word out of me, the fact they can sit and answer questions talk **** and have banter in the chat is impressive dont get me wrong, but they just cant donate the same amount of focus that others can. Look i get it, beginners or micro stakes guys they prob get alot from it and i think they probably beneficial to poker growth n sh*t but alot of them.... ahhh il just end it there

righttttt got back to grind today skipped all the high 2 day stuff as got family party tommorow night and mostly played abit smaller and skipped most stuff over $215. Had deep run in uppercut on party and was like 2/12 and the 10 bags up top was looking v v spicey, then just got recked everyhand had few spots where i Bet folded river with bottom of my value range and double barreled a few times n got a bad river to empty the clip on. One spot i raised 78hh from bb vs sb open and 1/3 on qq5h ended up getting 3bet needed all the self restraint i had not to float was amazing field so went lower varience and let it go but mostly its w.e was just very standard stuff. Hit the showers in 8th i think lost a10o<109o for like 13 bbs AIP.

got family party tommorow and i think saturday having one last piss up in london so depending how messy that gets probably playing new years eve then flying back to Monterrey new years day

whats happening boys and girls going to do quick update as havent been online for 5 or 6 days. Not played a single hand of poker as was super busy last days in London then new years day i flew back out to monterrey. was like 30 hours in total managed to book the connecting flight about 8 hours after the first one, its insane the amount of hurt i put myself through to save money on flights It is beyond ***** cold out here its unreal makes london feel like the bahamas. But good to be back with my 2 favorite people.

The amount of times i've made this error is ridiculous!

Something in the brain just says it'll be a good idea to save the $$ but those hours spent in transit are a disaster.

I try and think of my hourly now and usually spend the extra cash. On the promise that i'll work the hours that I save to pay for it.

River for me i think is block or big bet spot but when he raises seems kind of tricky to find any bluffs here, would imagine broadways with 1 spade would double barrel turn given blockers alot so has to be pumping KKc or QQ w a club pretty often

Played the marathon aswell and believe me boys its a fkn marathon and ended up coming 5th at silly o clock for like 5k ish but overall good day. Also got through 215 main day one with like 90 bbs

Onto monday and i swear had a day where I just won every pot for about 8 hours lol maybe just had ton of nice tables and i defintly did but was like b11 standard all the way through and literally amazing for a 215. Played super exploitably all the way through and was super happy with almost every hand. One thing noticed so much in MTTs absolutely noone protects double checking ranges and had so many spots to delay bluff and had like easy 90% success rate.

Got down to 21 players and couldnt really get any momentum going, had like clear hands to call call fold and did that a few times, just standard stuff really. Made one super exploitable fold on turn vs a fish but felt pretty confident in it. Ended up 19th for around 6k ran AQ into AK Btn vs SB for like 50 bb pot. The heartbreak was actually real considering had 17th in the WCOOP version of that like 4 months ago and feel like at top end of buys ins I have defintly run way under EV. 280k is just life changing and its natural to feel disaspointed.

alright i guess every single poker player probably thinks the same but my biggest score lifetime like 40k and profit of like 260k give or take 10k and 2017 alone had like 3 final tables of sunday warm up alone without ever really getting close to winning. Cant really do anything though i guess just got to keep putting hours in keep improving and let the rest take care of itself.

Thing I find toughest about just running bad late in tourneys is that you have literally nothing to show for it. Not like you can look at your ev in PT and be like OK well at least my EV line is good...

yeah thats the hard thing i think. Like difference between 18th and 1st is like buying a house, pretty hard to take when that is decided by AK vs queens or whatever and its out of your hands. But the way I look at it now after last 2 yeas of hitting the post is if we play tournaments you have to be ok with varience you have to be able to take alot of pain. If you cant then go and get a 9-5 somewhere in an office. As long as the process is there, my winrates are good and I am outstudying everyone then thats good with me

Very very frustrating last few days grind. Had car crash ***** pile up head on collision etc sunday again. Seemed to just get coolered in almost everything and cashed about 4 tournies combined. Man Bit B is how you would imagine it, I can honestly now especially as i dont have get any financial interest as i did when i ran the Dev stable there is NO better place for an MTT guy. Coaching 2x a week plus like 2 years of content to go through, strategy forums there you just dont need anything else. right quick update for your melts had the most unremarkable week of grinding in my life. Feel like after the session with Goose made some key adjustments into my overall gameplan added some bet sizes and generally felt really good grinding.

But after bubbling the mini super tuesday (fk this absolute myth of a tournament!! ) for like 3rd week in a row that brought an end to a pretty lacklustre January overall. THink i racked up around 600 or so games and managed a winrate of around 6 bbs which considering I play like 80 ABI its actually not disaster but defintly want to improve on that. Seem to leek a ton at sub 10bbs spots which seems pretty stupid considering i grind HRC alot. and 30 bbs my game deffff needs some serious fine tuning. Probably ended up small winner over the month.

Been tough January, lived with the inlaws and was pretty difficult for the whole month, as a grinder and probably erryone reading this guna agree, you have to be SO selfish sometimes and. I missed a few coaching sessions as misses was sleeping next to me whole other family was asleep so couldnt make noise. my body clock wakes me up on sunday and 99% of the time I want to start kick off b162 but cant have a shower before or food as it was 5 in the morning there.

that sht just really annoys me. WHen i am grinding having people walking past talking in spanish just tilts the fk out of me obviously i am never rude and dont just stare em out or bark at em but because of it maybe I miss a timing tell or I dont recognise a bet sizing that i would if i am fully concentrated. Also iving in someone elses house just really aint the ****, and you got to go by there rules. never really felt comfortable putting long hours in on the laptop, couldnt always smoke on my 5 minute break which is a 2 year routine and in general just fked my sh*t up alot.

fast forward to last night misses has arguement with in laws while im deep in b22 and she tells me we got to be out by tonight. Im just sitting there like fuming Obviously not what you need when your playing heads up for 100 BIs or whatever. but got 2 amigos with a van who I am 90% sure had been on the piss all night and stank of cervesa and packed all our **** up in 4 hours and got set up in new house.

Poker wise febuary has actually been not a complete sht show. Probly winning like 5k or so won like 5 tournaments including uppercut for just under 10k was looking good up to the 18th then last week punted alot of it back. Had tons of sweats this including 20th in title fight on party before c ***** darwin 2 outed me for absolute heaps. Seem to be getting a ton of 5-9ths aswell but as long as im knocking on the door then eventually some cnt going to open it.

My win rates been super good this month that I am pleased about and up to 8bb per 100 over 100k hands which considering my ABI is around $80 is pretty spicey. Makeup however looking extremely spicey aswell i try not to look but probably up to like 35k now but thats one good sunday and still feel super pumped to grind everyday.

need to get some more shots going in this thread but always forget in game to tag stuff and actually make a note. Going to try to update this at least 3 times a week going forward now im not trying to be Bob the fkn builder everyday

yeah its the life of mtter i guess, occupational hazard, 35k does not bother me too much though have been up to like 46 before and i was only playing 30 dollar abi 500 bi downswings pretty standard. Would obviously be nice to get regular income and something more sustainable but to get to play a game you love, at hours that suit you, anywhere in the world you dont mind giving up that security. I jam which i think is pretty cool, dont expect him to slowplay AA/Ak on turn very often when spr like 1.3 or so and def expect those hands to go for bigger size on the river so think his range def capped on river. also hard for us to find many bluffs other then suited 9x as would fold braodways on flop given v shallow spr. i have like all the set combos and kxdd aswell. he tanked like a minute a folded dont think there is better feeling in poker tbh haha

fishy gringo geezer opens 2x in mp we 3bet a3cc from co. Would mix here between flat and 3bet w these suited Aces and generally 3bet the a2-a4s to fold out all the better aces and flat like a5s+. We 3bet 3.2x he calls pretty quick

Kd river, he checks and i jammed like 200k into 480 and he folded after like 5 seconds. think jam way better then check given he will have no slowplays on this river and he has almost no calling range and want to fold out some like q10hh or KJ if he ever has that for some reason

so 1/43 dream was ***** on boys, cruise along for another 2 hours or so. final 2 tables was 6/18. And then lost every hand one really annoying one where i made a exploitative river size vs someone that would not let me get away with it. Bet 78 on k964K for like 60% to target the a highs and q highs and other worse air but got called pretty quickly by a10hh. Pretty sure 60% sizing is just bull**** here and not a thing and should be block or big bet so pretty annoyed with that. not sure about his bluff catch having a 10 cant be great but fk it

Ended up losing few hands generally not having any spots then jamming ajo from btn for 13 bigs into BB kings to FT bubble for 9600. Obviously not ideal when first place 177000 was upset but actually very impressed with how i took it especially after 20 hour grind. Think having played for 3 years pretty battle hardened now, considering the last 3 18ths i have had in these life changers and theres no way you can just be a robot about this ****, its natural to be upset but today woke up and just went about my **** as normal.
