All true buddy. This is not my first rodeo, I've been trough couple of streches like this but this last one was pretty tough mostly because most of my makeup was accumulated by playing 100+ trough the 2017. I still dont think I'm looser in these games but such a big gap between ABI 20 and 100s+ and not being able to get a reasonable sample means that it's probably all my fault and I'm glad that I've learned important lessions about bankroll managment and tournament selection, and like everything with me it, it gotta be learned on the hardest way possible. But I like that part of myself since I can see very clear when I'm (not) making progress. Walmarts thread helped me a lot anyway

That thing about ups and downs that scarecrow quoted is very real. In the beggining of the last year, after big heater (+35k for two months), I went to Hong Kong and drowned myself in sins for 20 days straight ( gaboneese sin, indonesian sin, philippines sin, nepal sin ) and I had very hard time pulling my sheit together after the trip altough I managed to freeroll the expensive journey (GG Macau cashgames). Im writing about this because HK popped out on my FB as 'on this day'. I managed to burn that money in a year without investing in anything and around October I was on my last 1k and 10k in makeup playing abi 20 and that place was really bad. It's very hard to see the light on the end of the tunnel from that position but I was very fortunate to be surrounded with people with great experience with these things (my backers, ty ). I've also learned big lessions in other pgc threads and found comfort in some thoughts.

I dont have any poker friends in my town ( beside Pekson from another PGC, but he never played MTTs and he was never on a downswing afaik ( ) and we don't talk much poker beside some gossiping ) so most of my friends are working for ~500 euros per month and when I say I am 10k down they're like 'gtfooo what the f are you doin ****** staph playing poker etc' so I don't really share much of my poker life with them. This is the main reason for having this thread.

I'm failing hard in the healthy life part. Still eating like a pig and not excersing but I dont want to mess with my poker chi atm so I'll keep on with the good grind and try to do some small steps.

Cheers guys, ty for reading and posting

That streak thing is pretty basic altough I was failing at it in the past Not gonna do the same mistake again.

------------------------------------------------------------------

It's time to wrap up this March Madness month, I'll be taking couple of days off to get myself physically and mentally prepared for grinding WMX series in April which will hopefully bring some binkzz.

Giraffe for starters:

My best month in terms of profit, and I'm still very unhappy with my overall behaviour. 2 months ago Ive decided to stop playing ps.eu and stop playing anything above 50$ and both of these decisions seem pretty good. I did a lot of reviewing of many aspects of my game and instafixed couple of leaks and found new ways of exploiting fish (and regs) and it all kind of clicked together with pretty solid run. Still ordering pizzas and smoking weed every day.

Main thing I did was to try playing deepruns more focused and learn to pass on some small edges in high variance spots for heaps vs weaker players / protect my stack more. In the past Ive bluffed way too much out of my <25bb stacks and that simply isn't way to win on small/midstakes. Players are bad and 90% of players are making insanely big mistakes all the time and every single time when I punt a stack with reasonable hand to do so but vs guy that a)never bluffs and b)never folds I just feel so **** stupid since obvious explo adjustment is just to never bluff that guy with check raise otr.

Any of this isn't new to me but lack of focus is keeping me from being able to execute it on constant basis. Sometimes while I'm in my 6th/8th/10th hour of grinding I just lose the bigger picture and focus only on short term - like some ego trips where I just want to take down the pot no matter what in clearly not so good spot to do so. I know that these things hurt my bottom line a lot but what hurts me more is that I still do nothing about improving quality of my life which will obviously improve my mental game pokerwise and therefore my profits and therefore quality of life.

I swear that in March I didn't do a single healthy thing. I'm on the biggest heater ever and I feel bad about myself and I NEED TO improve my overall hapiness. In the last couple of years I have stopped some toxic friendships and relationships from going on but what happened in the meantime is that I haven't made any new ones. I was going to raves/used a lot of drugs and hanged out with gazzilion different ppl and did a lot of crazy stuff back in the day (talking about 2010-2015 period) but none of that matters now since years are passing by faster than 3b shoving 77 16bbs vs BTN open. Let's say I'm gonna bink 100k or whatever in next period of time - and WHAT ? That isn't an accomplishment, that's just money. I'm not sure if it would made me happy, it probably wouldn't by itself.

I didnt want to rant this much but what the heck, these things are pretty much killing me and writing them down publicly will hopefully make me impact them. I'm goalless grinder and that is because I'm playing MTTs staked my whole 'professional' life and altough I've learned how to make money in tournaments I haven't learned a thing about having my own bankroll but I'm eager to try to become independent in next couple of months but I'm not clear with myself still on this as I haven't put decent thought about my goals yet.

Right now the plan is to relax next couple of days and then grind the hell out of the Winamax series, hopefully with profits in the end and not some huge makeup. I won't be changing my disgusting March habbits as right now I'm in the ffffkin zone pokerwise. As soon as it is over I'll take a LOT of days off wherever ( not in my house ) and work on my longterm and shortterm poker and nonpoker goals and then find the best way to execute.

Salute

thank you for kind words gentlemen

April is going very slow. Not playing very well altough it's not that I'm playing bad. If I could rate March 4.5/5 April is 3.5/5 in terms of quality of play but we're back to an old QQ<A7 for heaps on semis. I went a lil bit OOL with buyins and runned aweful in 100s+ so I'll cut em out again as I made similar mistake about gap in my buyins couple times in history and only insane person would dig a same hole for his makeup on same dumb way.

As I officially cant control myself on Sundays there will be an FREEROLL going on for this Sunday. First 3 posters will get 50$ each if I register even one 55+ tournament. I'll post SS printscreen on Monday ( I have ticket for Scoop main 250 so that one is not included in the freeroll ) and send money if I'm degenerative bastard intoxicated by Sunday prizepools.

I haven't did a thing off the tables so I'll review couple of my deepruns today.

In other news I've also started playing some zoom. I consider myself pretty solid poker player with good fundamentals and my biggest leaks are connected to my mental game - I punt some pots here and there almost unconsciously due to nature of long MTT sessions. That being said, zoom (as it seems) could provide me luxury of playing shorter sessions and possiblity of taking the break when needed. I've played around 15k hands for now altough with not enough focus since i fire up couple z25s when I have less than 3 mtts running. I'm usually tired and not focused enough but the plan is to get some kind of sample and seek for help from some of the cashgame winning friends, fix up the preflop ranges and then grind out and see wussup. I've been lurking to some of the NL100> pgc threads and I really feel that I'm better than them but cashgames are different animal than MTTs so I won't be jumping on higher limits until I get used to the lil bit different ranges ( FU YOU NO ANTE ). What attracts me most to the format is the potential freedom which doesnt exist when you play MTTs.

I guess I would go fulltime MTT ****** mode on and apply for bitb or smt IF I lived in different timezone where I could finish session in the afternoon/early evening and do some RL stuff in between and still get quality time sleep but I feel like I've lost my aspiration/hunger for being mid/highstakes MTT regular and I just want to make some money and be happy ( ).

See ya on Monday my friends, hopefully I can type gratz in many of your threads then.

So I didn't went over 50 in last 2 days, GG me (Dunno what to printscreen on SS ). Played a bunch of interesting hands but overall ran like crap, managed to save some money today:

Lost headsup vs passive weaker guy, always very tilting situation but I think I've played very well. I've lost 2 flips and then he hit top pair+ on every board.

I'll add some random boomed hands and we can call it a day.

i guess somewhat standard vs hungarian guys

Strong call OTR, in play with tables running, i could VERY easily see myself just sigh fast fold this river. Ace is a pretty bad card isnt it? (I guess that makes it good to bluff?)

Gl rest of the month broski and good job stay disciplined with the higher bins

I think we can look up vs that sizing which I don't quite get. He can always bet like a men 70%+ there and I'll fold my 3xes

Decent session today but no binkz. Got Day2 in wmx ME with 40 bigs and Mini one with really good stack. I'm running aweful on WMX during the series but it could turn around in last couple days. I'm again playing very well and I'm enjoying my sessions which makes things a lot easier.

On Thursday I'm going to Gevgelija on some live 500e donkament mostly because I'm stuck at my home for the last 3+ months and wanna gtfo for couple days, we have free hotel and stuff during the tournament and possibly some israeli whale injections so I might be grinding some live cashgames or smt, will see. Anyway, I feel some money in the air inc in next couple of days, usually I'm correct when I feel this way altough it sounds pretty dumb. [x] result orriented , will see if true I guess

Canceled.

Had couple of good sweats last night and couple of interesting spots. Busted Wmx ME around 70th or smt for 1.xK and FTed 20e wmx pko event but finished 7th for around 1.2k. Put the month back in the green but it could've been much better. Busted ME in this hand which might be butchered quite a bit:

Villain is decent TAGish reg. We get a solid board and a he checkraises in a spot where I expect him shoving 22-88 preflop, so value part of his range is basicly T4ss T5ss and couple of KT AT combos which is really small number of value combos. I'm really uncertain with these spots where villains might be quite overbluffing and I believe that biggest EV in these spots is to close your eyes and call the x/r and call turn shove in most of the cases. I really dont like 3betting OTF as it wont accomplish much except giving him free pass with his bluffs and I dont see that I need much protection here ( probably wrong with this theory and protecting our hand/tournament equity gotta be considered ).
However why on earth would every time fookin 3 fall OTT I tanked a ton OTT struggled with decision and decided to call it off altough I knew that when he uses this turn sizing he's very 67 heavy. I guess I should just fold river here with jacks

I would really like some insights especially on the flop (no)3bet cons and pros

    Puke spot.

Really not sure myself, whats the bin of WMX ME?

How "decent Tagish" translates in profits?
I mean he can be decent winner, but theres a difference (as i ve noticed) in 100k$+ players, regarding their ballsyness of bluffing these spots this deep in ME. And i do mean pure balls (even more when they go 3 bangs).

Its interesting to hear about 3bet flop.

At first i liked your cbet sizing, but rethinking the spot maybe we could go bigger to avoid this kind of c/r from Villain (esp if u know he is capable of c/r draws OTF). On the other hand, i think is VERY good sizing with the intention to 3bet shove flop with, given our shallow stack size (and the reads u mentioned. Although i am not very sure if he rips 22-66 pre).

Whats ur plan If blank turn and he checks? If blank and he bets?

Very interesting hand, i would struggle myself a lot in this spot so tnx 4 sharing. I cant w8 to see some more replies.

FWIW, as played if i have Timebank to think and not just click buttons , i think i would have persuaded myself to fold OTT/R, not sure at all if its the correct play though. (OTT we have 1 pot right?)

    Cheers man!

i'd just gii on flop, even getting a fold is a good result after all and you are rarely crushed anyway and he will still stack kt at etc. jj is just a hand that wants to get the money in asap on this board bc it needs a lot of protection

would also fold river as played

and i would also consider sizing up on flop, but that is not really a big deal

Completely disagree with BB jamming 22-88 in this spot. In what I would presume is a very soft MTT, a TAG reg jamming in 29bb vs a CO open is increasing variance in a spot where it makes no sense to. If you opened on the button it is a different situation.

As played I’m calling turn and folding river without question. KT/AT never shove river and a reg will be very value heavy after you call flop/turn. 63s is the only bluff I can think of that you beat, and there are 3 combinations of 63 as I don’t think V is defending 63o.
