2018 French low-stakes MTT Challenge 2018 French low-stakes MTT Challenge

Hello everyone I'm a French low-stakes MTT player, I'm doing this thread to keep my volume challenge and having some advices from other players better than me

My AVG BI is 17$ with 56% ROI over 1455 MTT. (I play MTT from 10 to 30)
I'm running pretty good this month so far ( 134% ROI...) but stil struggling with volume with only 257 MTT (I planned to play over 320 this month).
I really want to exploit the full potential I think I have and I won't be able to do that without having a good volume. 320 MTT/month is nothing for most mtt regs but I know by experience that I'm not good at adding more and more tables and 10-12 is the maximum I can play at the same time.

Goals for 2018.

[] Play over 3500 online MTT
[] Win over 25K$
[] Shot 50$ MTT
[] Play some live tournaments
[] Travel 4 countries
[] Go to gym 3 times a week (I did that for years but skipped a lot the past 3 months)
[] Continue NoFAP challenge (6 months now!)
[] Learn how to cook (not only chicken/pasta which is 90% of diet...)

January so far

Thank you for following l'ami !

I play on 3 websites, Winamax, Pokerstars (FR/Es) and Partypoker.fr, around 15-20 mtt/day.
The avg field I play is around 350 players, I only have 2 or 3 tournaments with 600+ players.
It allows me to reduce variance, I used to play an average of 1000+ players and I was going crazy because of the variance in that games and the fact that losing a chiplead flip 20 left on a 1000+ players tournament affected me even for days sometimes.
Also I only have 3 or 4 turbo MTT to maximize the edge I have on the tables.
I've seen your thread and I'm curious to know your answers at your questions!

I just finished my session, played 19 MTT tonight and win a 15+R on Partypoker ! Feels good!

Shipped a 15$ on P.P and a 20$ (only 37 players) on Pokerstars yesterday to finish around +750$, always feel good to have a winning sunday.
I did 5 finale tables for 20 MTT played :')

I'm gonna grind tonight and maybe tomorrow also. Already over 330 MTT played this month so it's a great thing but I hope to get over 350 though.

Finally managed to play 376 tournaments by the end of January!

January was a great month $ saying, I runned pretty good overall (87% ROI). Not gonna complain about this.

Spoiler:

I'm going to move from my place this month so maybe less time to play but I realized I can play around 22-25 MTT/day now so I can manage to play more than 350 tournaments this month I guess.

February so far

8 days left and only 206 MTT played..
I had to take 6 days off because I moved from my place and could not find any stable network to play, played one session on my phone shared network but I've been scared of being disconnected the whole session which is not the optimal way to play.

Ended February with 296 MTT played, last session was pretty terrible as I broke my laptop by “accidentally” throwing my mouse on my screen and had to play on my gf’s laptop my last tournament after 25mn away from the tables…
Still some effort to do about tilt here. I don’t rly mind about the computer as I wanted to change anyway but that made me miss today grind and so failed to played 320 tourneys this month.

I’m gonna set weekly schedules this month I really hope it’s gonna help me to get more discipline because I waste too much time doing I don’t know what.

Hi there,

March is not going pretty good so far as I'm $ down, but I'm doing good with volume with 220 MTT played.
Also making weekly schedule instead of monthly one is working great for me, I went to gym 3 days/week, played my volume, finished a book and did guided meditation every day.
It makes me feel like a robot at some point but at least I do the work and prefer this than feeling guilty not do something productive

Bad point is I didn't study poker as much as I should so it's gonna be one of my top priority for the next 2 weeks.

Finally reach the 500mtt by the end of March but lost money.
I looked at my graphs on PT4 and I'm still between 9-11bb/100 depending on the room.
I really feel like I runned pretty bad at the late stages, also I figured out I lost too much money playing FullRing Turbo tournaments, I think the edge is marginal on this kind of tournaments so I'm gonna remove them from my session.

Anyway April is here and and the good run too, I can feel it!

Hi eve,

April has been an amazing month for me as I played around 500MTT with a ROI of 87% for over 6500$!
Besides that, I managed to go to gym 3/week, meditate and study ed, and spend more time with my gf during my days off.

What really changed compared to March is I took 2 consecutive days off by week which allowed me to fully rest my mind from the week grind and feel more motivated at the tables! Also I obviously had a better run than March.

Last but not leat, I started May by winning a 30$ on PP.fr for 1900$ (and win 450$ at the same time on an other FT).
I hope the run good will continue and May is gonna be even better than April

Hola
May has been a relatively good month even if I didn't win so much $.

I managed to played more than 400$ tourneys this month again, also I'm pretty proud of my general state of mind, I rarely tilt and if I start to whine about how unlucky I am now able to go back in the zone.
It's something really important for me and it makes me feel good because it's mainly due to the work I do by meditating and doing breath exercices.
I tried to shot 50$ tourneys but it ended by losing ~1k$

I felt ok playing them but honestly ran really bad, gonna start a new shot when my br will allow me

2018 so far is ok (34% ROI) as I won half of the $ I want to make in 2018 but I know I can do much better
