Haha thnks jpr.

Busted 2nd bullet in the main as well, very boring day, got dealt 94o all day and never got above starting stack. Table was supergood, 2 french regs en 5 very big fun players.
Atleast I got to witness some French poker hands. Old gentlemen squeezes 96ss 4way, gets 3callers, cbets and barrels on KdQd4xKh and shows. Ton of hands like that.

Flat t9o vs cutoff and btn in bb, flop J96fd, checks around. Turn T bringing backdoor fd, I bet 2100 into 2800, co calls. River Q completing fd, I x/f.

3bet a 1k open to 2600 with KK vs utg, co who got his picture taken a couple times coldcalls, utg calls. I x/f the AJ6 flop vs btns biggish bet.

Down to 15k from 30k starting.

Open AxJs utg to 1.1, btn reg calls, sb calls. Flop jxts8s. x x btn bets 2/3 pot, sb calls, I call. Turn Ks x x x, river 8o x x x, sb wins with 98o.

Fun player who flatted raises with j2s and 73o, flatted 3bet oop with 79o, opens to 1.1k in mp, I make it 2650 with a9cc otb, calls.
Flop KcTc5x, x I bet 3k with 8ish behind, he calls.
Turn 4c ding ding ding x x.
River Jx he checks I jam, he tankfolds.

Same guy opens co 1.7k I flat KT in sb with 13k starting, bb folds.
X/jam on K95 and dont get there vs AA.

Tomorrow a chill day before the HR at 9pm.

2.5 HR in Cannes:

Started off with around 40 entries, in the end it got 91 iirc. Tables were amazing, first day tables were some variation of this:

1. Russian whizzkid, playing tight.
2. 60 yr old funplayer
3. French reg living in 2010
4. Fish calling k7o vs utg in the co
5. Me
6. French reg calling 3b for half stack with 33 and getting it in on jt24
7. Young fish, 10xing utg, 3bcalling 50bbs with ajo
8. Old funplayer

Standard hands were utg opening with kts, utg+1 calling t8o, co 3bet, btn coldcall, others call as well. Get in 100bbs on t762 fd etc. 3betting kqo and 3x pot jamming on a flop of t89. 10xing utg. Good value maybe.

Hands:

50/100, 36k eff. Ep 375, co 1025 (young guy), I make it 2750 with KK on the button. Co 5bets to 6k, I call.
Flop 2T5 , bets 8k I call.
Turn Q He jams quite quickly for 20k, I fold.

Got some chips back by squeezing AK pre 4way, 1 caller and bet jamming on k269.

Open AT utg, bb (same villain as in previous two hands) calls bb,
Flop Q93x, I cbet 1.2 into 1.8, he x/r to 3.2k, I call.
Turn 7, 5.2k call.
River 2, bets 5.2k I make it 14 leaving 2k behind (livepro tricks itt), he sigh calls it off.

New 50yr old guy sits down in mp, 3x to 1500, I call 33 otb (50k eff), bb calls.

Flop A43r, x x I bet small, Mp calls. Turn 9d bring bd fd. I bet 2/3, MP x/r 2.5x. I sigh mentally but then remember we're in France. Call.
River 7o, instajams, I call. Monsieur shows a six and walks away from the table.

Day2

Get up to 115k @ 600/1200. New table, couple regs, more funplayers. Hj makes it 3600, I 3bet AKo 9500 otb, sb tanks and decides its time to jam Q7o for 73.5k. I call, board runs out K9J2T.

Fold for a while, jam aqo for 18bbs in MP expecting to get called by a3o if they feel like it. Guy with 12bbs behind me wakes up with AK.

Win a7s vs ak but bust by openjamming 10bbs with a4o from the co. GG Cannes.

Bricked 4 mtts, learned a bunch, played well overall and they were super good value. Watching football all day today, maybe grind an evening tomorrow before flying to Amsterdam.

Woke up today feeling zero motivation to do anything so i'm gonna force myself to write down some stuff and set goals for the next 3 weeks.

Since December I've been in a downswing, around 600 avg buyins at the peak of it. Nothing crazy, actually pretty **** standard for most people. It's not necessarily the downswing that is bothering me, it's often feeling like I have not much to show for after playing almost 4 years professionally. Sure, my winnings/roi etc are decent for mostly grinding bowls, biggest bink being 12k, I get people asking for my opinion on hands a lot and I have coached a ton of people that play for a living and have won way more than me, so I do feel valued for my skills in that way. But then I look at my bankaccount or Stars graph and it's making me pretty sad. I couldve grinded more, I couldve taken it more seriously the first two years, I couldve managed my finances better, I couldve ran like ftinnion and have a total different outlook on it.

Poker in itself also has never been a passion of me, it's just another strategic (card) game for which I don't care and if it weren't for the money I would never play a hand again, so that doesn't really help with feeling great about what I spend most of my time on. Then I need to remind myself I've lived abroad for 3 out of 4 years, I've met a lot of cool people from all over the world, made great friends and just had a ton of fun overall and would never change it for anything. This year alone I have been 2 months in Paris, 1.5 months in Amsterdam, 2 weeks in Vienna, 10 days in Cannes, going to Vienna in 3 weeks again and then settling in Budapest for a longer period, deciding my own schedule, doing whatever the f I want.

So with that out of the way Ill close this month here and act like sunday is the first day of a new period.
Spoiler:

Iirc I aimed for 600 online games so got kinda close. Sold half of all the 150+ which I pretty much all bricked so should be +3.5ish there I guess. Lost most of that back playing live but with selling at mark up it's still ok for such a high variance month.

Goals for the next 18 days till I fly to Vienna to bink the Scoop main.

-18 work outs
-13 grind days
-9hrs strat
-30mins before each session studying or watching a video and making notes
-meditation every day

    Thnks, didn't work.

Spent 4 or 5 days in Vienna, had a good time meeting up with the boys there and played some Scoops including the 1k main where I got up to 3x ss but fizzled out. Didn't lose that much on that day thanks to deep runs in the 109 phase and the b44. Playing Scoop and 888 series was fun but nothing exciting happened, looking forward to soft and smaller summer games.

Took the train to Budapest on Monday, spending the week finding an apartment and setting everything up. Should be back grinding Saturday or Sunday. Will be good to have some stability for the rest of the year after living like a nomad for a while and Budapest so far seems like a very enjoyable place to live.

Also shout out to chips1234, the btn clicking spitecaller came from deep in make up but managed to turn it all around by working his balls off both on and off the felt, congrats mate.

A low 17thousand player scoop like a boss.

    Small update:

Been in Budapest for 4 weeks now, great city. Found a very nice apartment in 5 days, great location in the middle of everything. Movie set in our street:

Got internet set up trough Tmobile/Telekom which was a huge disaster. Waiting time in their stores was 60mins on avg and I had to go there 4 times because after a week it stopped working. They said they would send a mechanic to fix it, he never showed up so I canceled the contract and went with another company. Never take Telekom if you're moving to Budapest! Could grind on my mobile hotspot which was fine for the most part.

Switched to off peak and playing the lowest avg buyin in a long time now but fine with less variance for a while when I'm trying to get out of a **** long downswing (tbf 100% of it is 55+ and live so whatever). Playing alright, focusing on stats a lot which I've def neglected for too long. Still can't fold good hands where I should, gonna try and go with my gut more than "ehh what better hands do I even have here, ok call" reasoning which is a joke vs 80% of the mtt field. Volume wise it's fine this month, obv with wasting time on the internet and settling in a new city it's gonna be less than what I would like.

    Gonna study hard today, glgl.

    Month is over:

Sharkscope counted a 2k and 720 cash twice, so profit is around 11k or so, ran pure in bowls, still don't know how to win in hs and large fields. Went to the gym regularly, happy with the volume, quality of play, results and time spent studying.
Will do an update like this at the end of every month from now on. Gonna aim for more of the same in July.

Last minute late regging the lower buyins, helps a ton with volume/hourly and keeping the avg buyin really low, seems to work out nicely.
Didnt play well the last week of the month, gonna put in a study session today but just grind a lot in August besides a 10 day holiday, and then back on the study in Sept when all the glory hunters are back online.
