Played very little from January-April but after that i took it a bit more serious. So my last ~300k hands this year. Even though im a bit under ev, feel i ran pretty hot over that sample:


My plan is to hopefully grind 6 days a week with going out on saturday to drink/watch football. With also doing 5-6 days a week at gym doing PPL dumbells. Gym routine is something i desperately need right now. Also need to get into a studying routine. Ive had pio for ~1 year now and done less than 30 hands with it and feel im falling behind to a lot of the regs. Will try to update daily with few hands/graphs. (most likely ill never update again but we'll see). I will not be including personal life related things that happens in phils. gl all

So we all know how important diet is when going to the gym. Im a vegetarian in Philippines without an oven who doesnt cook so i find it impossible to count calories. Im currently skinny fat (due to too much beer) and after reading for a short amount on the internet it seems aiming for less/equal/more calories than daily burn are all viable options to start of with at the very beginning. So what i think ill do will try to aim to eat two main meals a day and then a small snack if i get hungry with 2-3 protien shakes a day for the first 3weeks and see how it goes from there if im putting fat on or not. Luckily theres a restaurant here which delivers that offer meals with all the vege high protein food (tempeh/tofu/seiten sausage) so ill likely be eating 90% of my meals from this restaurant. If theres anyone out there who could potentially help me out producing a couple of bowl salads from ingredients below, i would appreciate it. Otherwise ill be clicking buttons and likely choose wrong combinations. I dont really know what im doing when it comes to nutrition. If nobody can help, ill just keep trying different bowls i guess until i hopefully find one which i like

Before today i took 10 days off. Been semi-dating someone for past 9 months and shes moving away so been spending most of my time with her for those days. Shes gone now so im fully focused on the grind. But i was redic rusty. All the action seemed super fast and i just seemed to be clicking buttons for most of it. Gym

Well today was a huge fail. For food i had

Breakfast: . Mixed greens, quinoa, chickpea salad, kidney beans, seasoned seitan, purple cabbage, tomato, faux feta cheese, bacun and creamy ranch dressing.
Lunch: BBQ Tofu sandwich
Dinner: Scrambled tofu, roasted potatoes, seitan sausage, baby spinach and hollandaise sauce. In a burrito.
Protein shake: 2x

So was all ready to go to the gym, got there at 12:30am thinking it would be empty in my condo gym. Theres only one bench (lol?) with two friends hogging it. Thought it would be ok so went and did my band warmup (got bad shoulders) and some posture exercises hoping they would finish soon. When i come back into the room they was still there so i called it a night. Tbh just doing band work isnt so bad given i got a dropped shoulder, but have really have done with doing some rows and back excercises. Really need to stabalise my shoulder and get muscles around my shoulder blade active again

Tomorrow ill try 1:30am instead and hope its empty. Will likely do all the Push+Pull exercises in one day given im going out saturday. Probably means ill be at gym for 2hours+ though...hmm

Started a session on friday but lost 700 in the first 300 hands so decided to get drunk instead. Managed to fall into a pothole and roll my ankle. Its so ****ed now. Still all black/bruised without being able to put any pressure on it the past 3 days. Luckily i can move it a couple inches today so i think the swelling is going down. Had to get a ladyfriend to bring me drinks etc etc as i couldnt leave my bed So yeh gym routine is gg for the next week or two i guess. sigh.


Today session was an odd one, def overbluffed a ton and a bit spewy which im not usually. Luckily i still won a little bit though.Some hands may seem terrible without stats...

My standard daily suicide pointless bluff. With Th and Ks turn thought conditions could possibly be right to get KQs/KTs bluffs to fold and JJ as population bluffs pretty much exactly 0 here and has AA always + get btn range to fold. Flop prob could/should be a fold with BTN cc range. but yeh i know pointless spew. Probably need to be about 130bb-150bb deep to potentially get it to work

im probably being nitty with combos and doesnt make all that much difference. But we want to choose combos which doesnt block folding range but blocks calling range. and with Qc on board. Kc isnt blocking any combos of KQ. Its probably pretty nitty as its only one combo but i think checking more often than not otr with that AK combo is fine with jamming other at high freq. And obv Ad blocks max couple combos of his folding range aswell so both together doesnt seem that ideal. And hes the guy who hero'd 44 vs my AQ. So hes not a believer

Dont know why im struggling to grind. Ive still been stuck in my condo and can barely do 2 hours a day. I feel like it might be because i live in a studio so im in the same room whether i sleep/eat/grind/chill so i feel mind doesnt get in the right mindset. Ive heard stuff like that is true and you need to separate places where you work/relax/sleep. But who knows. Might try to get a 1 bedroom apartment after this contract runs out.

Well this month volume was a huge fail. Took 13ish days off since my last update. No idea what ive been doing though. Luckily it was pretty good $ wise so cant complain. I thought i was falling behind a lot of the regs at 200 but im 10bb/100 there this year so maybe not as bad as i thought i was. (obv sample size issues though as its only 100k and quite a bit of heat) Will be shotting 400 next month unless i downswing in first week. Need to do a minimum 40k hands and decide if im going home for Xmas. Meeting friends tomorrow so month is finished for me:

Great results man, subd. I have a question, since my main game is becoming NL50 and NL100, but am kind of struggling and hustling for now. What helped you the most, do you have any literature/video recommendations or just in general what stuff did you work that changed your thought process into a crushing one?

i really feel its just variance turning my "thought process into a crushing one". Lets not under estimate how hot im running recently. Although it is now 150k where im 10bb. I do 0 studying as im too lazy and never been a fan of videos back in the day. You only see a tiny portion of their ranges in videos and its been well known that video makes never really give it their 100% when on videos. Getting a coach is easily whats helped me the most throughout my poker career. I think i was a ~struggling 100nl player when i got staked/coached by hsnl regwhich got me to 600 a couple years back Getting coached by someone like you-mad-br0 / plasticelephant (yeh hes a friend so im being biased here, i dont know if hes still coaching) whos got very solid fundamentals, is great with PIOsolver, good with hem2 and very solid winner at 100nl. Pretty sure he offers very affordable rates for a 50nl/100nl player.

So pretty much took the first half of the month off as bunch of people in phils are busy over xmas period and going back to province to spend time with their family. Only recently ive been grinding and its going pretty well. Totally forgot about this thread. Everywhere looks pretty dead on xmas so i think ill just be staying in and skype the family. And probably grind. (unless anyone whos reading this thread knows of anything cool going on at xmas around makati area?)

Got to say, the battling regs of 400 compared to 200 is insane. The level is completely different and the games have definitely past me by at MSNL. Really will have to start going into lab if i want to make it at msnl next year. Ttesone biggest pain of my life already and ive played less than 5k hands at 400. Just expect to get overbet every spot.

December finished pretty swingy. Hearing about some peoples results for december has made me really regret just not grinding 24/7. Ran pretty bad towards the end against fish and couldnt get the 10k month i really wanted. Still happy though

- Dont lose a phone. Im on my 14th phone in 2 years. Getting costly
- Get a haircut. Have to put one goal which is manageable
