I start the new year with only just a small deposit 100$ and I am playing at PLO50!!
let see what happens.
I am playing without HUD and any tracker software and no zoom.
I take it easy, I have a day job and I am playing poker just for fun and only 1 to 2 tables (6max) at once.

So I had a good solid first week and was happy to make it to 10 buy- ins very quickly.
I played overall a solid A-game and try to move on to work on my game and on my mindset.

I have some news for you about my PLO50 adventure.
You remember I started only with 2 buy at PLO50.
The last days the variance hit me very hard and I lost about half of my roll, but the good news is, I still alive! I have survived and didin't go broke as some of you are maybe expecting.
So I still have some money from my first 100€ deposit.
Its 339€ right now as you can see here:

Hi guys,
some update on my 2017 PLO adventure.
I am still playing but went broke with my small bankroll. The reason was actually not bad play or bad run, it was tilt!
I am sure I have the skills to beat PLO50 in the longrun, but I have some tilt issue and try to fix them atm.
I didn't play poker almost for about 4 years and try to find my way back to poker and its a hard way back...
But I love the game and love playing Omaha and thats the reason why I am still here.
The most difficult part is for me to find the right mindset for the game.
If everything is going my way, I am in controll but if one bad beat happens, I can lose my controll very quickly and going on tilt and try to win back with almost every hand..
The skill level to beat small stacks is almost there. I have a good card selection, can play good in position, avoid playing big pots oop with crappy hands...I know somethings about opponents calling, checking and raising ranges but the tilt-issue is everytime destroying a part of my winnings.

@xaxa I am playing 1 to 2 tables at unibet. 1 to 2 sessions per day (1 to 2 hours)

A quick update for you guys.
I have played a short session today and won 3 buy ins from a big fish who was playing every hand. Nice to have this kind of players around to help me on my way back and build a bankroll
+8 buy ins for the last 3 sessions and I was only on one small tilt but could recover from it quickly and get back to my A-game again.

quick update for today and summary of the 1st month.
Today: +140€. 1,5 hour of play 2 tables. Hitting very well some flops in 3 bet and 4 bet pots and get it against aggro villians who overplayed AAxx hands. Overall I was playing a solid A-game without tilting.

January:+600€ (made in the last 5 sessions).

Good start in the new month.
Played a very short session today just before going to work and booked a nice 200€ to my bankroll. Got to my first small milestone to get over 20 buy ins at PLO50 to be in some small comfort-zone.
Note to the session today: It was a very crazy and aggro table.
Every pot was raised and reraised.I was just waiting for some good startinghands to get it in. Won a huge pot over 280€ wit AAJxss preflop all in against 2 aggro villians..
Than leave the table quickly before getting some bad beats and get on tilt...It was ok for me to do this and leave the table.

Best of luck in your somewhat wacky challenge. I'm sure you know about it, but seriously consider giving Mental Game of Poker a read if you're having tilt issues (heck, folks should read it if they think they've got tilt under control too).

quick update.
Had a very ugly session two days ago, where I lost some coinflips for a whole stack and get some bad beats but not tilting that much than I usually do.
But there was another problem. At one point I feel I have to bounce back and
opened two PLO100 tables to get my winnings back. I got lucky in some pots won 2 buy ins there, but feel sad afterwards to not stick to my own bankroll managments and not to play higher than PLO50 atm.
This happen to me many times in the past, where I played PLO100 with a small bankroll and almsot no edge and get owned there everytime.
Hope I will overcome my weakness someday in this point...

Tha last two sessions went ok (+160€). I was playing solid at PLO50 and I have cleared also a starter bonus to get my bankroll on track again:

Didn't play much the last couple of days. Try to be in a good mood to play.
Made some small progress in my mindset. Just try to keep my mind clear and don't try to force something in and around the game of poker....

really surprised how weak some mindsets are still these days.
i mean Martin you are around for ages, arent you? Also in the PLO world... loosing 3-4 all ins should not affect your game since it's so fxckin comon in the great game of PLO We all were chaseing losses once. but thats so 2008... nothing wrong with playing a bit higher but not if you have 10 buy ins with your temper. you are begging to go broke again. dont get me wrong i dont want to be offending just my 2 cents.

I am who I am with some weakness. But I try to handle it and life with it.
Its going better, its going in the right direction but its going slow and I have some setbacks, but I dont give up!
Thats why I am here and I want master the most difficult thing in my whole life

I didnt tilt for almost a week I guess!

Hi, some good and bad news.
Alter I reached my months-goal, I lost almost 10 Buy- ins in the next few saissons playing really bad and going on tilt fast..can't explain why this always happen to me...it seems if I think I finally made a step in the right direction I am falling back again. ok I was not focused enought and had some bad tableselection playing against good and solid regs instead to focus on weaker PLO player...thats why poker is so hard... in one bad moment you can lose your control and boom your are down again. But I am a fighter and still belive in my progress and the ability to get the right poker mindset.. So after the bad days l decided to cash out some of my winnings and try it again..
I left 10buy ins in my online account for PLO50..but maybe I will play some PLO25 to get some confidence back...
Also I went on this weekend to my local Casino and was plaing some NLH 2/4€. Live poker is still really soft...I was playing very tight and won a half buy in (200€) but there was one hand I still thinking of it.
I limped in early position with with KQo usually I am raising but I was active the last couple of hands, so decided not to raised this time..a lot of players limped behind..
Flop is KK5 (pot is around 26€)
I bet 10 and get raised from some nitty player to 30 (with 170€ stacksize) one tight solid guy, what I saw so far, called ( he had around 450€ stacksize) and I decided to just call (500€ stacksize)
Turn is 9. ( pot is around 116€).
I bet 80€ and the nitty player moved all in for his 140€, the another player just called the 140€ and I called for the rest..
River blank, 3 or 4.
The solid guy is now betting 100€ into me for the side pot...
So now I was not sure what to do here..I guess I should move all in to get the most of the sidepot because I was almost sure the nitty guy has me beat with pocket 55...but I was not sure with what kind of King the other guy is calling the whole time... with AK he would raised pre so I can beat KJ,KT of his limping range.. he turned over K8o..
So I didnt lost much in this hand because of the side pot but could win more...

have some good news.
Didn't go on tilt for almost one week...
Was very upset after my last blow up..But was trying to stay clear in my mind and try it again...
I am moving in the right direction again.
I played some PLO25..really relaxed and without stress.
Than I switched to PLO50 and played well without any huge mistakes.
Have won about 12 buy ins at PLO50 this week so far.

my winnings so far this month: 950€ (online) + 200€ (live)
Onlinebankroll now: 935€
Livebankroll: 1k (I know its not much for 2/4€ blinds but I take it easy)

My goal for this year is to built a decent online bankroll around 5k to play frequently PLO100 and also built a decent bankroll for livepoker.
I love to play live because is really soft and I rarely going on tilt playing live.
I don't know why this is so diffrent...maybe I feel that I have more time to act in livepoker and have to put my chips in my hand and put it in the middle and not just push some buttons...

After another awful try to give a shot at PLO100 with just only 12 buy ins, I have to realize, I can't make it. I can't.
Poker is f*** hard these days and if you don't put the hard work you can't make it.
Its impossible.Its time to realize I can't make it to the next level. I feel like PLO100 is way way harder than PLO50 and I don't wont play PLO50 for ever.
I get crushed, I get hit hard and I can't deal with it and I don't wont it anymore...
My dream was always to play PLO100 as a regular but I can't make it. Its just
beyond my abilities...
I have no discipline in bankrollmanagment, I have no poker mindset at all and I have a huge leak in emotional controll. and nothing of these things getting better, its getting worser...
I don't even know, if I have the poker skills to master the game at all...
I feel poker its somethings beyond my abilities to master it finally...
I have done a lot of things in my life but poker is unbeatable for me.
So its time to realize that give up is the best option I can do in my situation.
I have a nice day job and I do a lot of sport.
A life without poker is better for me for my mind and for my mental health.
