No worries, and thanks for the offer, I'm a little while away from having anything ready to share but hopefully soon!

Re: 2016: Diversification (Fk EV$, I want the real thing)

Hi,

Took yesterday off as was feeling pretty worn out and mentally drained. So instead I caught up on some reading (speed read The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, which is basically an extended parable. But sort of a fun, if very easy read I guess) and watched a few episodes of Ray Donovan.

Good luck to any and all readers taking part in UKiPT today. Would really like to be there, as I have a big craving for live poker right now. Hopefully someone I know ships it anyway.

Thanks man, I'm not sure that is the case. But it's always nice to hear anyway. Who are you on Stars, btw? I feel like this must be super obvious but can't work it out!

Kind of a swingy day today, but I was able to book a win in the end. I was feeling a bit brave/punty at times, but think most of my play was good/fine.

Think I'm going to have to start posting some graphs or something (even though I really don't like doing that) to liven up this thread a bit. At the moment I feel like I'm just talking to myself.

                              Hey,

I've been pretty unmotivated to update for the past week or so. I'm still playing every day, but have been break even over my last 40k hands or so. Pretty far below EV as usual, but I've also not been playing my best poker. Had some pretty lol punts of stacks in questionable spots and such.

I'll do a more concise and complete update tomorrow when I have time, for now I'm done playing for the night and off to take the dog a walk and catch up with some friends. Tomorrow is a day for study and database review. Maybe some poker in the afternoon.

                              Hope you're all well.

                              Update

Hey, so as promised I'm forcing myself to keep this updated. I guess it's kinda tough when you aren't sure who (anyone) is reading it. Guess I'll keep at it and try and find some more interesting things to update about.

Played a lot today. 5k hands, which is an absolute monster session for me. I know some of you guys probably knock that out on the daily, but that just isn't me. Currently feeling like a zombie and very excited to hit bed.

Aimee and I have been dogsitting all week for her parents, which for the most part is great fun. She's a gorgeous dog and a lot of fun to hang out with and take for walks, even if she is a bit of a rascal at times. But JFC dogs are just so tying! Aimee is obv working 8-5 every day, so I'm just chilling in the house with the dog in between walks. Feel as if I'm on house arrest. I know some MTT guys have dogs and still play full time MTT schedules, and I just really want to know HOW? With walks and food prep for me and the dog, those 5 minute breaks definitely wouldn't cut it. Aimee has tomorrow off of work, and is taking the dog with her to her parents' house, so that I can have the night off and get megadrunk with my friends. Really looking forward to that, as it's guaranteed to be super messy.

Anyway, poker has been breakevenish for the last little while. The games have been really dry for the most part. I don't know where all the big punters are, but I sure hope they come back soon. I've taken a few shots at 1knl this week, with varying levels of success/failure. Today was a good day, along with putting in really good volume I was able to win like $4k or so at the tables. Fingers crossed we can find some late month heat.

Haha yeah me either. The plan on river was obviously check/fold, but I was watching a zaza video on rio at the time, where he makes a few light calls in big pots in a row and loses all of them. Wanted to emulate my hero.

                                                Hey,

Had a busy few days since my last update. Had a really big, messy night out on Thursday. So I was absolutely dying on Friday and took the day off the tables. On Saturday, Aimee and I had the wedding of a University friend of hers' to go. I knew two people there (Aimee and the bride), but fortunately there was a free bar and a good crowd of people there, so ended up having a really good time. I definitely enjoyed it more than Aimee haha, so was again dying of hangoveritis on the Sunday morning. A couple of wedding photos below with kilt included: (punching, I know )

                                                Spoiler:

Got back to poker Sunday evening and this afternoon. The games were pretty good and I played well. Ran really good last night and absolutely horrendous this morning, but still made a bit of money over the course.

I final tabled the Hot $162 today, but crashed and burned pretty early after losing AKhh<KJss, A8o<A4o, 88<A8o and finally 66<ATo to dumpster me. Pretty brutal final table, but I ran good at a few points early on to get there. Thinking about playing a full MTT schedule tonight for a little change and I really like a lot of the new daily additions.

No guesses in the thread please. Outside of personal friends of mine I only know one person who worked it out. I'll probably out myself one day, but not now.

Potentially. I go back and forth on having a non all in 5bet sizing at 140bb+. Villain in the hand is a good candidate to have a non all in 5bet bluff range vs IMO.
