Three day graph since my last update. Been playing a bunch of mixed stakes across stars and party, as well as the regular 500z grind. Takeaways: Games are generally softer at 1k/2knl when they run, but that's probably just a result of all the seat scripting. IMO, if you're willing to join a table started, you should be forced to play at least two orbits or something. The amount of times table starters take hours to kick off and then break after literally one hand is toxic AF.

Will continue mixing stakes next week, and hopefully catch a bit of heat. Still mostly on the zoom grind, however.

Off out to a beer garden with friends to watch the Championship play-off final, and then they're coming back here for food and to watch the Champions League final. So shan't be playing any more poker for the day. It's an absolute worldy of a day here, so hopefully the sun holds up all evening! Really hope that Liverpool don't crumble tonight, and can put Real to the sword!

                Have good weekend!

I'm really confused with the shove from tough reg in hand 1, seems like a pretty big attempt at exploit from him

I'd be almost certain it's not an exploit, since it's on Party and we haven't played any hands on there. If I gave you this specific regs name you'd probably shrug it off.

KJ reg is so bad, who is it? Or maybe you rather wont say but I play on party as well and I play on your stakes and up. Also since he holds Jh there are no possible combos of J2s nor J4s, its such a bad shove I cant even put it words.

Been lurking your thread for couple of months and I like it, gl at the tables!

Solid session today, tables weren't great but ran/played well throughout. Found some spicy bluffs on rivers too when I had calling hands, which is always nice.

Went a drive out into the country on Sunday and then on a 10k hike to a castle on a clifftop, which was really beautiful. The weather was absolutely amazing too, so we took a picnic/drinks with and just chilled out there for most of the day. Got kinda cooked by the sun, and am rocking the redneck t-shirt tan today I've got some photos on the camera, so once I get them sorted I'll upload and share.

May cash game graph. Played a small amount on MG and won about $2.5k there, so results were decent enough. Had a horror show final day of the month which was -$4k, so was hoping for better.

Aside from the cash game grind, I also played about 150 MTTs at a $140 ABI during May and SCOOP, and made around $14k there. Think its probably the first time I've ever not lost money during one of the big series' online, so that's a nice monkey off my back!

                          ----------------------------------

June has not started particularly well, down $3k or so in 2000 hands. Always nice to kick the month off with a bang...

Outside of poker, things are good. Going to Glasgow for the weekend with Aimee and some couple friends of our's for a gig/night out on Saturday, and then a chilled out spa day Sunday. I have some serious man flu right now, so hoping the spa sorts that out for me.

Still attending the chiropractic twice a week to fix my back, but its already feeling much much better! Another couple of weeks rehab and I should be able to start playing sports and lifting stuff again. I've lost literally all strength and size that I put on pre-wedding and am down 10lbs in weight, while also feeling pretty fat. Not a great combination, so am very much looking forward to being back in the gym ASAP.

Thanks for reading guys. Hope everyone has a great Summer, and GL to all the heroes out in Vegas for the series. I'll be heading out towards the end, so hopefully catch up with some of you.

Long time no update, but last minute decision to head over to Barca for the EPT, and in classic me haven't sorted out any Euros. Looking to do a Stars or Party for Euro trade with any kindly individual. It's kind of a lot to ask as a favour, but if someone can hook me up with $20k or so, then that would be absolutely ideal.

PM me if you can manage, I'll buy you a beer! Goes without saying, but will meet you in a safe place and you can watch me xfer the cash and all that

Hey! Still here and doing my thing. I've had some health stuff to deal with over the last little bit. Suddenly started suffering from a bunch of stress related ailments (eg. panic attacks, migraines lasting multiple days, unable to sleep, etc) over the past three months. I'm not sure what the trigger for any of this is, but its all totally new to me. I doubt any of it is poker related, as I'd like to think I'm relatively unfazed by any of the nonsense that happens at a table by this point.

Either way, I'm going to take it nice and easy until the new year and try and get myself back to normal. I'll be looking to revive the thread once that's done.

                          Thanks for checking in!

I’m no shrink but I have seen my fair share over the years. Definitely don’t count poker out as perhaps PART of the problem. Having your mind stimulated every few seconds like it is when you’re multitabling definitely can do some weird things to your brain.

Make sure to try to implement real meditation and exercise into your day, I know it’s next to impossible when you’re really on edge but it’s done wonders for me in my life. As others said, definitely get help! All this stuff is fixable, it just doesn’t seem like it.

What you described sounds a bit similar to what I was going through and am continuing to go through a bit. Was having blood pressure spikes which were causing panic attacks/panic attack symptoms. Went to a couple doctors before going to the #1 ranked cardiologist in Mexico, a doctor from Madrid, and ended up having basically hardening of the arteries running through my heart.

Wasn't able to play much poker for about a month and am on a small amount of Lexapro (SSRI) and a blood pressure pill. So yea, definitely go get checked out and get to the bottom of it if you haven't already done so. Made some changes in my life and already feeling/doing better

Very true, and definitely the advice I’d give to a friend in a similar spot if they had asked. Somehow it’s harder to follow that advice when it comes to yourself.

What you’re saying makes a lot of sense. I’ve booked in for a ECG and health screening, but if I get the all clear there and am still feeling the symptoms then I will definitely find someone professional to talk to about it. In the meantime, I’ve been making sure to take an hour out in the middle of each day to walk/get some fresh air. I’m actually fairly active, and try and play football/go to a spin or yoga class at least once a week. Meditation is something I’ve never really looked into, but will do so now.

Hey man. Thanks for commenting. Firstly, great to know that you’re doing better. Long may that continue! As I said above, I’ve booked myself in for an ECG and full body health screening at a specialist in a couple of weeks time. Until that time I’m just trying to be a bit more conscious of my health and my breathing.

I’d be really interested to speak to you on Skype or whatever if you have time? The big symptom for me has been waking up every night (at pretty much 2am like clockwork) with my heart racing. I have to sit up and take a few deep breaths to equalise myself, and can generally get back to sleep in 10 minutes. Was this something you ever experienced?

Hey, why would this be frowned upon? I'd hazard a guess that almost all of us could do with looking at our diets. My diet can be complete garbage at times, and really quite good at others. I eat almost nothing that's processed outside of certain takeaways, but consistency is the issue. I can't see myself ever managing to maintain a plant based diet for any length of time. But things like cutting back on dairy and swapping out meat for other proteins is something I will look into.

I personally was very sick about 3 yrs ago, I have had zero symtpoms of my apparently incurable disease since I switched to a whole food plant based diet, also started going to the gym regularly a bit less than 2 years ago, my life is infinitely better this way. I cant guarantee it would solve all your issues but cant hurt to try.
