0% of my portfolio is Ripple at the moment. That's not to say that I won't get back into it at some point though.

I've absolutely no doubt that there is some level of market manipulation going on in Crypto, think it's pretty much a given at this point. Don't think its quite as structured and high power as that posts suggests, but there are funds set up purely to pump and dump Crypto ICOs for quick turnaround.

Took Monday-Wednesday off at the tables as an extended break, as I was feeling pretty run down after the holidays (...I know, right?). Made a return on Thursday and got absolutely bashed, felt super rusty also and not very confident in a few of my decisions. Discussed a few hands with mates and got my head right, then came back today and felt I played a whole lot better. I took the full 2 weeks off over the Xmas period, which is probably the longest clean break I've had from poker in over a year. So some rust is to be expected I guess.

Tables haven't been great, but I guess there is always going to be some kind of lull in the game quality following the madhouse that is December.

Yo, Verge I'm a big proponent of, and believe I've spoken about it in here before. It's one of my main buys right now. Tron, I know less about than I should. Pretty happy with all of my positions at the moment, and invested up to the point I want to be, so have been a little lazy with Crypto research lately.

I don't know enough about the funds to know exactly what ICOs they target (and if I did, I'd probably keep that info to myself!).

Graph of the past 2 days grinding. Pleased with myself for putting in some (for me, at least) relatively big volume days. Even managed to make a little bit of EV money.

I've been dusting it off way more than I should in general, and was playing pretty low focus/solid C+ game for a while, which I need to be better at realising in real time. Have been studying a lot on the side though, and feel as if every day I'm finding something which I wasn't previously doing as well as I can, which is a nice feeling. Lots of little breakthroughs, hopefully lead to improved winrates.

Today session. We were in Edinburgh Friday-Monday visiting family and Aimee was picking up her wedding dress (9 weeks to go!), so I didn't get any hands in over those few days. Felt I played really well today, and games were pretty spicy at times too. Hopefully that's the January lull over with!

Think I've spoken about it previously in here, but between Christmas and New Year we flew over to Ljubljana for a little break. I got to see many beautiful sights and have equally as many nice meals and drinks. Some pictures from the trip below. I got a new camera for my Christmas, so was testing it out.

Thanks man, yeah it's a really beautiful country. I'd like to go back in the Summer time and get a lodge in the Alps for snowboarding. I have loads of city photos, but they didn't come out great as it was generally pretty misty/low visibility outside of the day we were down at Bled.

Today's graph. Played really well throughout IMO, very little in the way of tilt/entitlement and ran pretty good as well.

The rest of January for me is sooooooooo quiet after a pretty mad 6-weeks. Quite excited to just have some weekends at home and get plenty of hands in at the tables. Back to doing 4 on 3 off in the gym as well, which I did actually maintain for most of last year, but fell off the wagon hard in December. Thinking about picking up the old pen and paper (or MS Word) and doing some writing again too, as I really miss having it as an outlet. Just need some inspiration!

Lmao, yeah I have seen photos of the lake frozen over in Winter. It just happened to be a really mild one this year. Gutted I didn't get to see the field of ostriches though, definitely another one in the 'reasons for going back in Summer' list.

Yeah agree, not saying that there is anything wrong with this showdown. Just that it's really easy to overdo it here given how many combos of AsXx he has, and how relatively few combos (especially given flop 3bet) of nut flushes he ends up on river with.

Yeah, the swings have been pretty big to start this month, although hopefully that's us back on the recovery as of today. Need to set a reminder for next January to not be so over extended going into lunar New Year!

Pretty sure both options are fine with 9Ts in these positions, no? I play it as a mix anyway, dependent on who is in the blinds.
