I mean yeah you're right in that trying to buy the absolute bottom of the dip usually isn't going to work out, but BTC is not on a 45degree upwards trajectory and there will be (short term) better buy opportunities that $6k.

I'm pretty heavily invested too, so glgl for both of us. 5-figure BTC is, at some point, basically a sure thing. How far beyond that it goes remains to be seen. Some super bullish people think it goes $500k+ somewhere down the line.

long term I'm not sure what my plans are. At the moment I want to build up a decent sample at 500 and see how I'm doing through 50/100/200k hands. TBH I think I'm too old (28) to ever really battle at HSNL without having heart palpitations. So probably move more into trading and diversification.

October



October in the books for me, probably. Cash graph looked quite a bit prettier an hour or so ago, typical. Still pretty pleased with the results overall, and in general think my mindset/play was really solid throughout. Old me might have thrown the toys out of the pram at 18k hands, but instead we made a really solid recovery. I took 11 days off this month, due to other commitments, but really need to be playing at LEAST 50k hands/month going forward.

Also made $13k or so in MTT land, in an earth-shattering 127 game sample. #stillabettersamplesizethanmostliveprosyears'

I had an up and down month in Cryptos and other investments, but right now we're looking at +16% for October. Alt coins seem to be rallying right now, so there may still be money to be made.

From a non-fiscal perspective, I had a really good October. It was rammed full of good people and fun experiences. I probably over-indulged a bit on the good food and drinks side of things, but that basically what the Winter months are all about. Next month is likely to be more of the same, as I'm in Germany for a week to celebrate my stag do with 7 of my closest friends. Over the course of the week we've got tickets for Dortmund vs Schalke and Hertha Berlin vs Koln which I'm really excited for.

Just catching up with this. I'd just classify all of the above as public knowledge and assume I find a predictive edge with it. Obviously, there will be people with BTC that aren't thinking on this level. But as a % of the volume, they will be tiny imo.

November starting off like a god damn heart rate monitor. Running into the top-top of peoples ranges a lot when I make thin value on the river is always fun. Could be worse though.

Played 5-a-sides tonight and got absolutely hammered in the calf right at the death of the game. Left leg is soooooo dead right now, so legit having to drag it around behind me. Managed to chip someone from the edge of the box in 5s goals though, which was fun/embarrassing for them I imagine. We won about 9-2.

Managed to lose back the EV monies I found yesterday. Someone at Stars HQ must've heard I was above EV two days running.

Played well for the most part. Made one horrific river call down though which is probably worth like 110bb, so not overly happy about that!
