I arrived in Europe a few days ago, and I'm so excited to be back on the grind, because I missed playing tough competition and my normal routine.

Worked on my game and made a lot of changes. I'm extremely confident in my game right now and I'm going to be grinding hard for a week.
Then, off to Barcelona for cash games and hopefully some High Rollers, and then I'll stay put in Malta for a few months.

Not as many fun Vegas stories as last time, but maybe I'll post some along the way.
I haven't really posted my results, so I'll just post the 2018 graph. Winning 8k since the last update.

i've been playing poker for nearly a year now. my roll is around 10k. playing 200nl atm. feels like it will take a lot to break through to midstakes nlhe, so now seems like the best time to switch.

i'd probably just 30bb rathole 200plo while learning. using monker ranges, seems very easy to learn. or i could just 100plo 100bb, dunno.

anyway, i just want money. i enjoy both equally. i'll have one full year of free time soon, so i can really dedicate myself to either.

at the risk of overwhelming you and getting a weak response, i need to know... how did hottie daniel "showofforce" do in vegas? he uploaded pt2 of his vlog and he was depressed and said he was down 50k. although in the description box of the video, it hinted that things changed towards the end of the trip, which will be posted in the pt3 video... THAT ISNT UPLOADED YET!!! please. did he recover? i'm not asking for $$ specifics!!! was he in a good mood when he left vegas?

also tell him i said hi please

thanks

I think trading is also a low variance game. ( not consider the 9-5 sure no variance jobs).
Should I start also trading on a side aiming for a 10% roi monthly?

do you feel you are playing and table selecting better than in 2017 or is it mostly variance?

10% ROI monthly lol. Do you know if you get that ROI you will be the richest man in the world in 10 years, right?

Depends on my initial bankroll. Lets say I start with 1k. I get 100$ first mint. 110 the second and so on.
But ofc is just in theory.
Then practice kills you big time. Specially as I just know the basics of it

If you start with $1k and have a 10% return every month for 10 years how much money do you have at the end? What about if you start with 10k? Or if you do it for 30 years?

10% return every month is not realistic. Likely possible with small cash amounts depending on what you're doing, but you'll likely end up getting significantly lower ROI's and even if it was realistic it would end up resulting in diminishing returns.

Also, trading is pretty competitive and I'd imagine that half the people or more actually making money at it don't even have an edge and are just lucky (similar to poker).

Not that $93M (that is the 10 year number gonsena) buys much these days anyway.

The answer is over 90M and if you don't know how to calculate that then you're unlikely to be successful to begin with.

10% ROI would be a pretty decent ANNUAL return, let alone monthly.

Not for trading I guess, but if you have a portfolio you're not actively managing then 10% is a good return.
