Being a poker player does have its upsides.
This is my fourth time visiting a racing track in Vegas.
Some people like expensive dinners, some people like strippers. I just like fast cars.

Some of the cars
Ferrari 488 GTB
Ferrari 458 GT3 racing car
You start out with a couple of laps on the simulator. It is nothing like Forza, Needforspeed etc., it is very realistic and you drive on the track you are going to drive at for real.
After finishing with the simulator, I was taken to the track for a couple of warm up laps in a Porsche Cayman S. This is already a pretty fast car, especially since I had not driven a car in a month.
After 3 laps, I got to know the track fairly well, so it was time for the Cayman's angry cousin; The Porsche 911 GT3.
This one I drove two years ago, and I remember it being ridiculously stable on the brakes and very smooth to drive.
That was on their spare track because it was just after EDC. This time, the main track was open. 10 quick laps later and I had a massive smile on my face.
After that 475HP beast, it was time for the Ferrari 488GTB. They critisize new Ferrari's for being slightly bland and less noisy and dramatic, but it felt like the complete opposite from inside.
It was in a completely different league to the GT3. I remember driving the Ferrari 458 and it a bit playful and wild.
The 488 handled way better and it has 671HP. When the turbos kick in, you literally get launched forward, like in a rollercoaster.
But the best was yet to come, as they lined up the 458 GT3 racing car for me.
You have to wear head phones because the car is so loud that it will damage your ears, and you won't be able to hear your instructor at all.
The car is completely different to a road car. Slick tires, aerodynamic grip, and far more extreme.
It was beyond incredible to drive. You can't really put it into words. You just have to try for yourself.
Each time I leave the track, I feel motivated to keep grinding hard.
When you have clear goals in mind, it is much easier to make progress in your poker game, avoid tilt, be more consistent and have all-around better results.
Story time about a crazy 50 100 session coming next...
