I am really not a boss. You just have to keep working hard for a very long time and eventually it will hopefully work out. No guarantees.

About 5BB at every stake but 10k+, where I've run hot over a tiny sample.

Cmon fishies, where you at? There is almost no action!
The plan is to just grind some hands at easier tables, and then put in some serious off the table work, once I get back to Malta.

When you were studying all those poker vids etc were you playing at the same time or did you take some time away from the tables altogether?

I studied for 6 months before playing 50NL. I've watched tons of videos since then, though I don't watch that many anymore.
But I never really took days off for watching videos. Just when I had time and motivation.

So, I got back to Malta last saturday and I've been grinding hard and trying to enjoy the weather a bit.
It's been up and down, but at least the action has picked up and I had some amazing high stakes fish.
I even played my first two hands of NL40k. I lost my BB hand, folded the SB and then fish quit without playing his blinds, and I got no button.

There were also a couple of huge fail moments. I was going to play the SCOOP 10k ME, but I had forgotten to raise my tournament limits, so I couldn't play.
Then, the next morning, I jammed 99 at 2k heads up and won with quads. But when I looked back, I somehow had J5o, and 99 on the other hand. ****ing OCD.

Anyway, I also did a lot of coaching and random life stuff, so I haven't had much time nor motivation to work on my game.
The only work I've done is actually on Fixed Limit, which I play when the action is good.

The weather will be amazing this weekend and we're doing a barbeque with a bunch of poker players (all nits) and friends.

So many weird stacksizes in that JJ hand, but I'm guessing CO was a recreational. Nice hold!

CO was definitely the recreational player.

If everyone at the table is pretty good, it's smart to play with a short stack.
Not covering a fish who gets in 10k with Khigh no draw is just dumb.

If BB were full stacked, I would not have been able to jam 100bb into them and I would have just called the flop raise.
Thanks to him.

These last four days have been pretty insane, as there was a ton of high stakes NL action, as well as Fixed Limit action.
I spent a lot of time studying Fixed Limit, so I haven't had much time to improve my NL game.
The plan is to do some NL work this week and try to keep up my volume by grinding mostly lower tables.

I had a brutal 35k losing day last saturday, but other than that I am pretty happy with my results.
Played fine, though worse than in the two previous months.
The all in EV looks so dirty because I got it in badly a bunch of times but managed to split. No complaints of course.

By getting coached by one of the top FL players for a while and playing him heads up. And I've played a decent amount of 6max FL on Stars, and some other networks.
I should be winning a decent amount with the fish in the game, but I'm definitely an underdog to the top players.

Is being in a 10knl game not extremely scary and nerve-racking? Is it not daunting that losing a stack means you lose 6 months worth of living expenses? For me even mixing in a couple 400nl tables is a non-stop pulse-pounding thrill ride lol

Bleh, been running insanely badly this month and I'm down a lot, so it's time for an upswing.
I was also playing badly, though today I was very happy with how I played.
Not really much you can do when you are on the losing end of every setup.
But I've done some lab work and I am now playing much better in the spots in which I was leaking.

I'll post some hands soon. Don't have many interesting ones right now.

That happens at every new stake, you get used to it.
Just make sure you feel you are rolled for the game and that you can compete with the regs at the table.
