Will's drug use was getting out of control. He had always been pretty bad but he started to get into needles again and was like a man possessed. He had been snorting oxy all day every day and his girlfriend, brothers and sisters were all on it too. His older brother had a prescription and eventually started shooting it up. Will had been into needles when we were teenagers, shooting up ketamine in his bicep everyday so this wasn't anything new. Him and his brother started shooting the pills into their veins and before long were doing heroine instead.
Will's connection we had gone through in high school was out on parole for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and was right back at it again. He was selling dope and coke and shooting up heroine with Will. Before long he OD'd at someone's house and they called 911. The police found an 1/8th kilo of cocaine in the trunk of his BMW and he went right back into prison. Quickly his whole crew was all in federal penitentiary, probably snitching on each other.
After his boy got locked up Will was going into the city to get heroine. He was on a mission everyday to scrape up money to get high and I saw him make the trip with as little as $15 before. He would always shoot up in the car right away after he got it and it made me sick to watch. He was a shell of his former self. Everyone used to be afraid of him because he was crazy and seemingly didn't fear death or imprisonment. Now he was paranoid and weak. He had totalled his new Lexus while drunk and was hiding his sportbike so it wouldn't get repossessed.
One night we were at his house drinking and we had some coke. Once it was gone he said he could get more if I drove him. I agreed and we got into my truck. He took me to the same neighborhood with the townhouse that got raided before. This was the only place you could buy drugs off the street where he lived and he planned to do exactly that. We pull up to a couple guys on the corner and Will talks to the guy about what he's going to get. Once they work out the price Will holds out the money and the guy hands him a bag. Without letting go of the money Will yells at me "Drive!" I put it in first and take off and the guy is running behind us. I get out onto the main road and run a red light to get out of the neighborhood as quickly as possible. Will hadn't let go of the money and gotten the drugs for free.
When we get back to his room he tells me that the guy only had crack and encouraged me to try some. He fashioned a pipe out of a beer can using a razor blade to cut slits in the top to melt the rocks and a hole on the side to shotgun the smoke. Will had sold crack as a teenager but I'd never seen him use it. We had always looked down on crackheads and made jokes about how they would do anything to get money and pester him constantly to get more. He smoked it first and then me. I liked the taste and the high was amazing. I remember his sister coming into the room and asking me if I had any oxy. I told her yes and she got my phone number. I had been chewing them after coke binges. It took the normal ****ty feeling of coming down from coke and just transformed it into a pain killer high instead.
I woke up at Will's house and started driving back to my place. I was filled with remorse about smoking crack the night before and I remember wanting to distance myself from Will after that stunt he had pulled. Robin called me from an unknown number and I didn't hang up. Will's sister had given her my number right away. She asked if I had any pills and I said yes and to meet me at my house. Previous to this I refused to talk to her and resented her for what happened between us. Oddly enough I didn't think twice about selling her drugs and I don't remember even being mad at her anymore. I sat outside my place smoking a cigarette and waited for her to arrive. She looked great and asked if she could come in. We walked up to my room and I broke out the pills. She asked if she could snort some, I said sure and sat on the bed. She crushed them up on a CD case and did some. We started talking and before long the clothes came off. She wanted me to **** her but I just wanted to sodomize her. After some arguing I said her pussy was worthless to me and she stormed out with her drugs. I'm sure I had gone over this scenario in my head and I wasn't going to allow her back into my life unless it was on my terms. Letting her get high and then getting her off wasn't happening. Maybe I didn't want her in my life at all and this was my was of insuring that.

Will really reminds me of my friend T. He is in jail now.. again. He actually matured and smarted up a lot from his younger days, hopefully when he comes out he will stay out.
Really enjoying the stories and poker stuff. I only grind 2/5 now and don't like my job... hoping to move soon and be able to play bigger games.
