39K at dinner. Lost one significant pot when I 3bet and b/f top pair on a later street and get shown TPTK after I fold. He actually floated me OOP and got lucky we turned top pair... Was gonna be my pot unless he was in hero call down without a pair mode. I'm also lucky though - we could've turned the nut straight and second nut straight and I'd have been coolered.

So far 3 hero calls on the scoreboard for me, I'm 3 for 3. Two were small pots, one was a sizeable turn bet and he checked back the river. I was ready to hero for my stack, but I wasn't doing backflips in excitement for the possibility.

Pretty content with where I'm at and I love my play so far. I maybe made one small mistake but I won't know til tomorrow when I run a lot of math - it's a very close spot. 39K is absolutely plenty right now... if I bagged this much, I'd be doing just fine.

There's also a chance I made ESPN in the background of Mark Newhouse busting out one table over. Prepare for ESPN to show him, a Norman Chad joke about what he'll do if he makes 3 straight final tablea, and a bustout joke 10 minutes later. That's my prediction.

Thanks! Not really taking many pictures though... I'm too focused on the job at hand.

About to come off dinner break and I'm prepared and focused on finishing the day strong and continuing to make great decisions.

I bagged 58,650. Had pretty bad table draws, and played awesome all day, so I'm happy.

According to Wsop.com there is also only 270 people left in the main event from Day 1C.

Considering that, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they might have some things a bit off on their site at the moment.

I'm guessing Cuse has things more right than they do, I'd go with what he is saying on this one.

Gotta give it to the WSOP, 200/400 to finish the day when starting was 30k, you certainly get a lot of play. Good luck mate!

They don't list everyone until the reports come out (tomorrow probably) in PDF format. Please don't post my full name when they do, even though it'll be easy to figure out. I don't want opponents to be able to Google my real name and find this thread.

Yeah the structure in the main is phenomenal... Lots of chips, two hour levels, small level over level increases.

Yeah I believe approximately 2500 survived today. I didn't look yet... The structure is too good to need to worry about average stack yet. They got rid of Poker News for their updates and they went downhill. As for the chip counts they only track the big names.

Kind of ironic all the talk in here about me matching up against elite tournament players. The two guys who had me God seated all day yesterday combine for $13.33M in live cashes, 3 WPT titles, 2 WSOP Bracelets, 1 Main Event Final Table, 11 WSOP final tables and 9 WPT final tables... Also at least 1 WCOOP title.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be just as bad, but I'll just keep doing my thing.

Once you become a winning player the amount of good advice you get on twoplustwo drops to like 1%. Honestly you wasted too much energy defending yourself against people who know significantly less about the game than you. It seemed like the right play because you were trying to sell action, but you have to laugh off the nonsense. You should also work on arguing in general, being able to direct the conversation to salient points rather than dwelling in the pits with the plebs arguing nonsense. There was 1, maybe 2 logical arguments which were incorrect, but still well reasoned, outside of that it was all noise from the rail.

Gl in the main.

Yeah, I agree for the most part, and thank you! Winning players can get help on here but once you're really crushing it or close to it, you're 100% right. You're also right about my motivation defending myself (selling action), and I definitely would have liked to just let it all go and ignore it... Which is part of the reason I'll be posting less and less on 2p2 as time goes on I suspect. I also had several friends who are great players say similar things - some came up to me and said stuff like, "The nonsense people are saying in your thread is hilarious right now."

So what's the best way to spend your day off before what you hope will be six straight days of grinding on poker's biggest stage? Here's what I did...

1. Get a haircut - You might land on ESPN one of these days.

2. Get a haircut that comes with a head massage and hot towel - It's very relaxing and poker is stressful. (Cue the dirty jokes now... But no, not THAT kind of massage.)

3. Game Plan - Go over your table draw and develop a plan of action.

4. Buy Groceries - You need six days of brain food at the table.

5. Do Laundry - You need six days of clean clothes.

6. Relax - Once you're prepared, take your mind off of poker and try to relax a bit, maybe play a game of Fifa on the PS3.

Marco Pierre white was a Michelin starred chef who give his stars back because he felt like the people who were critiquing and judging his work knew far less then he did.

It was a bit of a scandal really

The key is to focus on the next day, more specifically the next hand. Not the next 6 days.
