Speaking of the next one, I bagged 135,300 in the Little One for One Drop returning to 500/1K (100)... 9th out of 549 who survived 1C, so here's hoping I'm set up for a deep run! Something like 1,000 people left, 710 spots pay and 559K and that oh so coveted bracelet up top!

I've shaken off the post Main Event bustout funk and I'm pretty fired up about the Little One today. It's another great opportunity for a deep run in a bracelet event, and I'm feeling good and ready to play my best and see what happens.

Still a huge field left, so anything can happen, but I'm still playing really well, I ran super hot yesterday, I have a ton of chips, and I have a good feeling.

I've also got an outside shot at getting to 10 career WSOP cashes this summer, which isn't a big deal really but would be kinda cool to hit double figures this year instead of later. I'd need to cash this and then depending on how deep I went, hopefully just have one shot at it in The Closer... But if I don't get deep, I'd have two shots - the $1K Double Stack 30 Minute Levels tomorrow and The Closer.

Of course that won't change how I play in anything - I'm playing to be as profitable as possible and to win bracelets, so I'm not trying to back into mincashes unless the ICM makes me do so near the bubble.

Last but not least, I have a friend still in the Main with a just below average (and just above median) stack... I have a little piece there, so let's go us!!! I suppose I'm actually hoping NOT to get to 10 cashes myself, because after today, as long as he's still in the Main I won't be entering anything new - just riding the Little One out. Then I'd be on featured table hole card analysis duty. I've already been on laundry duty for him lol... Whatever needs to be done!

So the dream one time scenario would be that I ship this on Thursday in a surprisingly quick final table, then race over to the Main final table to sweat him after... It's probably somewhere between 2000 to 1 and 3000 to 1 at this point, which is pretty sick when you think about it.

But I have as much confidence in his game as I do in mine, and we're both going to stay focused on one hand/level/day at a time, so we'll see what happens!

Compared to past years this beats the hell out of being in pool & drinking mode at this point in the summer!

Couldn't hit our parlay. My friend got a top 70 finish in the Main, and I went out in 227th in the Little One. I just never got anything going after the first few hours, and dwindled all the way to 20K at 2K/4K before spinning it up to 150K at 2.5K/5K with A5s>Q8o and 33 > AJ. Got a river bluff through to move to 162K, then AQo < TT all in pre for a 336K pot that would have put me back well above average. Wasn't to be, though, and I can't complain - I won a flip and held a small edge to spin it back up.

Fought hard, but I made one bet sizing mistake that annoys me. This time I won't beat myself up - I'm still feeling the fatigue from the grind of the last couple weeks.

My buddy also fought his ass off grinding the short stack in the Main, and made a standard shove for his last 13 or 14bb and ran into JJ and couldn't luckbox it. Still a sick run, and I'm proud of him.

I'll probably be back at it tomorrow. Two more shots at bracelets, then it's a long wait for the next chance - and a lot of hard work to get better. Waiting all year sucks though, so I don't want to miss any opportunities while I'm here. Rest can wait.

Thanks! I want all the EV now though . I'll just study harder and create newer, better EV in 2019. I've already identified what I want to work on in the next few months to take my game to new heights, but hopefully I can get a deep run at a bracelet before it's a wrap on 2018 anyway.

My WSOP is over... Got coolered out of The Closer with about 1.5 times the average stack with 220 left in my flight and 140 spots paid.

There will be no 10th WSOP career cash this year, there will be no final table, there will be no bracelet. The summer kind of feels like a failure now, to be honest.

I made a decent amount of money, my career WSOP season ROI per buyin is pretty sick now, but you all know how badly I want deep runs at the WSOP and a bracelet, and I didn't get that. I did take down my first live tournament, but it was a relatively small one, and while I'm proud of how I played, it's not exactly the type of score that builds a career resume or anything like that... That will likely have to wait until next year, although I may get a few shots at WPTs in the next several months, we'll see.

So I'm pretty bummed at this point in the summer. That said, I'll be a much better player this time next year. I have identified some things I can work on, and I'll be working very hard on my game and on building my bankroll in the coming months so that I can play more events next year and improve my odds of achieving success.

You should be proud of your efforts this summer, get that 10th next year!

Home sweet home, for now... Feels weird being back after being gone for so long! Now I'll need a few days to recharge and plan the rest of the month and sort of plan the rest of the year, then it'll be time to get back after it. I really hit a wall with fatigue on Sunday, so I made it a one day, one night stay in New Orleans and just headed for home from there. Ended up needing a Red Bull each day, not good! I virtually never drink those, and I kind of liked them this time.
