Neeme seems like a nice guy through his vlog, but I don't know him personally so I have no idea "in the real world." I think poker vlogs in general are +EV for the community because I think they likely draw more recreational players in and don't offer enough value for people to actually improve their games significantly by watching them. I don't have a problem in terms of game integrity with people recording their own hole cards, but I do think it's horrible for the game if they're doing so in a fashion that people know it's going on. Like, doing something that starts a conversation that leads to, "Yeah, I'm a pro and I have a vlog and I record all my hands," is definitely hugely -EV at the tables in my opinion. If I do hand reviews, the last place in the world I'd be recording the accompanying analysis is in the poker room, for obvious reasons... So I'm not exactly a fan of how Andrew Neeme does that, but I will admit I have enjoyed his vlogs so far just from an entertainment perspective.

All that said, I plan on focusing mine more on the process of trying to achieve my goals and less on poker strategy and poker hands. The hands I include will probably be more BBV/entertaining hands like you would have seen on ESPN in 2003-2005... stuff I'd expect to appeal to a wider audience and give away little/no information about my ranges that isn't already pretty standard/obvious.

Thanks! The album comes out 6/30, right? I doubt I'll hear much of it until after the WSOP... Plus with the deal with Sprint and all, I don't know how long it'll be before it's available to the public without going through some pain in the ass process...

Know what else is bad for the game? Poker pros. They take take take and give nothing back. They are not only bad for the game but they are also bad for society in general. Still, there's no need to talk **** about one of them on a message board, behind his back no less (lol at intentionally misspelling his name) or to make an ass out of one's self anytime one sees one out in public.

Maybe he decided to play the $90 + $10 add-on at South Point instead (like Trooper).

I can confirm he played several satellites and I talked him out of playing. No point in firing a mtt if it's just stressing you out.

Hopefully he also understands the importance not tipping the dealers if he wins bc the 10 already counts!!!

I mean the main is just an expensive variance fest and anyone thats not a millionare that brags to me that they're playing gets a "wow cool" from me on the outside and an "oh, i didnt know i was better than you" on the inside. Repeat that for all tournaments actually.

Cash is king.

I did not play the Main Event this year. I had a poorly timed downswing, and it was too late to start trying to sell off a significant piece of myself. My original plan was to take ~95% of my action in a big shot-taking situation, and I had a bankroll number above which I felt like it was okay to do that. I was very close to being there about a week out, so I wasn't trying to sell, then I had a bad week and once I knew I was drawing dead to a satty, it was too late to sell.

Came very close in the last mega, I got knocked out with 148 people left and 134 seats. I had 3.5bb in the HJ or LJ, jammed AQ, and the button called with 66 for about a third of his stack - pretty bad call in a satty I think (he was pretty close to being able to fold into a seat), but this dude was playing it like a regular MTT. I lost obviously and that was that.

Next year I'll have to make sure I don't put myself in a spot where it comes down to the wire, because it definitely sucks not playing the Main Event.

In what will be greatly disappointing news to some of the haters on here, I'm not busto.

(Also, if you're interested in what's going on with me and I haven't been posting in here, chances are I have been updating my IG @ryanpoker... Chances are that'll show that I'm not busto.)

No lol, why?

The haters will be thrilled to know I played 1/2 today.

Also, they may be less thrilled to hear I played heads up 1/3, some 1/3/6, 2/5, 2/5 with 10 on the button and 5/T.

Just hadn’t heard anything from you in a long time.
I enjoy your postings and your dedication to the game. I saw you at the WSOP, I was involved at a table and couldn’t talk. I played in the Giant and one other event. I did make money playing cash, but tournaments were a disaster. There’s always next year!

because eventually most people who care stop posting when they realize PGCers dont want advice... and all that remains are haters and trolls.

One of the biggest cons in gambling has to be the "you can be a professional poker player and wins millions" schtick. And almost every single pgc is a testament to that / follow the same cycle.

1. grind a ton and win
2. big downswing
3. long breakeven stretch
4. low hours
5. realization they will not get rich, they will not live a normal healthy life grinding poker
6. desperation sets in and they punt on live mtts, sports, highstakes, plo, dfs, etc etc
7. they dont update/ exit the "professional" gambler pipedream. '

i think the guys stuck on step 5 stop posting too when they realize there's nothing to really brag about.

You're mostly right. It just becomes repetitive at a certain point. And at that point it just feels like a waste of time (I and I'm sure cuse as well have put a lot of time and effort into a lot of my posts) and also a waste of the the readers time to read mostly the same thing week after week or month after month.

Obviously there's always new things but it's more or less the same. I find twitter to be a better vehicle for me to keep anyone who's interested in my story updated than the long PG&C posts I used to do. I have people send me PM's here, DM's on twitter, and DM's on snapchat (in b4 dik pics) asking me questions of all kinds and I always take the time to answer. Just because someone isn't updating their PG&C doesn't mean they're broke or not playing poker or whatever, sometimes these threads just run their course. How many pics of casino chips until people get bored?
