i played very bad since exams. Didn't do much work away from the tables, too. I won't blame bad luck or sth because i just did it wrong, especially last week was just....let's say ugly.






There are two big leaks, that i will work on in august:

1) Tilt/Mindset. Much space for improvement here.

2) Defending Blinds oop. Last 100k hands i have -7 EVbb/100 from small blind and -38 EVbb/100 from big blind. You can obv steal from sb, so i think i should do sth to lose less in the big blind.


btw, Stars VIP store is a bit thin atm. No one bought t-shirts or porsche anymore?? Not that it affects me much as i save fpps for 1,6k Bonus but it's a bit strange though...

It has been a while since my last update but i thought i’ll wait with this update until i reached my initial goal of the thread.

I’m gonna start with a review of august.


I decided to put a lot of hours into the poker thing this month as I have a lot of free time from university now. I did my work almost everyday (took one or two off), I watched a ton of videos, did exercises to fight tilt and improved my mental game a lot. Also I fixed leaks in my blind defense. No, I have completely changed my gameplan from the blinds.
I have set a pre-session routine now which I do to motivate myself, prepare my brain for the poker and play my A - Game more often. I try to improve my note taking system as well and re-write my notes somewhat regularly after sessions. I did play 50k hands in august which means 100+ hours while 6-8 tabling.

The results wouldn’t come but I think I played better then ever before during such a “long” rough stretch when the fish makes str8 with 48s in 3b pot too often and you run into the top of ranges all day, yada yada…I tried to focus on the things I can change, tho.

Well there was one point last month were some tilt or greed or w/e, came over me and I decided to take a 3BI shot on a 1/3 live game in a very cool card room one hour drive away. Needless to say that as a winning player at 6max 100nl on Stars you should have a much better understanding of ranges and stuff then the avg. live player and yes I did consider myself in the top 3 players on almost every table between all these fish. This is a completely different game, tho! Needless to say that I lost 3BI in like 15hrs which was somewhat frustrating and in combination with an insta -10BI in 2k hands “welcome home” from Stars really frustrating and I hated myself for playing live a bit underrolled.

After two days of terrible mindset I decided to add some 50nl to get back confidence and a bigger roll again. After 3 days and a solid heater on the lower stake I was back to 100nl only in no time and was able to finish the month around b/e and decided to never play these live games with a roll under 10k again.

Back to the bigger picture: over 150k hands at 100nl I am now winning with 2,05bb/100 (2,57EVbb/100) while crushing 50nl with 7,31bb/100 (6,15EVbb/100) over 90k.



Also I have now achieved SN, which was my other goal when I started this thread beside becoming a 100nl regular that I consider myself now.



Will take some days off and go real life fishing and relaxing and stuff in a pretty cool house with the gf for one week on monday. Not sure yet, maybe I’ll open a new thread with new goals when I come home as I have achieved the thread title’s goals imo.
