Update time!
Sincere apologies for the long absense, lots of stuff been going on but tbh poker hasn't been too update-worthy. Fair bit of grinding, sick swings, not a great deal of profit is the cliffs tbh. Always kinda weaksauce when people don't update during the rougher patches, but it is what it is, I'd far rather update when I feel like it and keep my PGC presence alive rather than have it become a chore.

Also I have been into lifting and health forever and the best site I stumbled across for knowledge besides bodybuilding forums is aworkoutroutine.com in the blog section.. take a look at it, you seem like a work smarter not harder type of guy.
Good luck with your goals!
Nice, I did actually take a look at this when you posted. I think reading stuff like that (and listening to lefort's excellent vlog) has made me realise that a lot of the lifting, actually I should say bodybuilding, stuff is far more hollistic than i first appreciated.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
It looks like the last time I updated was the middle of July. Since then, I took another trip for an lol_liveament series in Panama. That was a decent trip, don't know if it was just the area I was in but Panama City was super degen. Grinded pretty hard, think I played just about every event but unfortunately no cashes. I think I probably lost more money during that series than any other person, I played the main twice (1.7k each) the highroller twice (5k each) and quite a few smaller side events. Made some back playing live cash, game was 2/5, 10 handed and the action was insane. Was limping 53s UTG just knowing any kind of made hand wins at least $800 or so.
Had an unexpected highlight on the trip trying to find food. Myself and Torino2000 aka Kev Killeen (more on him later) went on trip advisor looking for restaurants, highest rated place was called 'The Fish Market'. So we jump in a taxi and ask them to take us there. We get there.......... and it's a fish market
Down by the harbour, there's a bunch of super basic restaurants serving fish that was caught that day. Legit the best fish I've ever had, just served with lemon batter and plantain. Probably the only authentic experience I had in Panama, tons of locals hanging out and waiters that spoke no English at all, my favourite place I've been to in Panama City so far for sure. Actually took a photo:
AggroSantos ended up chopping the highroller 4 handed, then busting JJ into QQ the very next hand, so we went out the last night we were there to celebrate that. Had a sick time, things got out of hand very quickly haha, should probably leave it at that
The last month few weeks in Mexico were weird, my roommate and the UK/Eire the guys I was mostly hanging out with started leaving on the 1st of August, I didn't fly till the 14th, but it was cool. Went snorkelling with the whale sharks off the coast of cancun, which was definitely one of the sicker experiences I had in the whole trip. It was like swimming along beside a double decker bus, or 50. Very humbling. Packed up and left Mexico without much drama, even got my deposit back in full which I'm told was an outlier result. It's weird, the few weeks after leaving Mexico were so chaotic I kinda lost sight of just how good a trip it was. Lest we forget
Anyway, fly back to the UK, had a weekend chilling in Glasgow with my brother which was great, he bought a few car and we put a few of his bikes in the back and went mountain biking at Glentress which was amazing. He's super into his mountain biking, I'd never really done it before but I can definitely see how you'd fall in love with it. Went up the road to Inverness on the Sunday, then left for the annual Brora golf trip on the Monday. It was 7 days of boozy, golfy, gambly, drunky, sunny perfection. Nothing else compares - you can go around the world and do whatever, but there's something very different about bantering with your best mates you've known since you were tiny. Joyous
Picked up a keg from the Black Isle Brewery on the way there
Gambly beys
Steaming beys
Gambly, steaming beys
Scenic beys
Golfy beys
Winning beys
Pub beys
Jesus, such good times.
After that, things settled down really in September/early part of November. I was living with my dad, which was chill but not exactly bant-a-minute after living myself the last ages. But I made the best of it, was just gyming more or less every morning, poker every evening/night. Made some very solid weight lifting gains, didn't gain a huge amount of weight relative to my peak before I left Mexico, but I'm not going to stress too much about it, it's a long game.
On the 16th of this month, I flew Inverness -> Manchester -> Abu Dhabi -> Bangkok -> Chiang Mai to start 2 months out here in Thailand. We've got one month here in Chiang Mai, then we fly down to Koh Samui. The group is myself, smbsmbsmb, Mayo the Don and Tonnamunz. Kreuznagel (aka Barry Urinstein) will be joining us in two days time. The pad here is unreal sick, Tonnamunz is a much better photographer than me so I'll just post a link to his bloggy here and y'all can see where we're staying -

It's a super chill existence here, I've found it unbelivably easy to get serious grind time in living with other (much better) grinders. Just feels like zero effort to keep grinding when everyone around you is grinding. We haven't really been out much or done many activities yet, a lot of the touristy stuff we feel like we should hold off from until everyone is here, so it's pretty much been grindmode for the whole house.
Also very excited for next month, our place is Koh Samui is even sicker than here -
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Vacatio..._Province.html . Hoping to get some visits from 2p2'ers of varying levels of infamy, should make for interesting times whatever happens
This post is getting super long, I guess I'll do a more poker-heavy update at the end of the month. Till then, you stay classy 2p2.
