Hi guys!

I've been pretty much recreational player for the last 3 years. Playing almost all different poker variants at micro stakes with slightly losing results (probably -600$ lifetime - most of my loses from PLO 10$ ZOOM and 5$ Spin n Go's). All this time I've been playing very sporadically and very low volume.

The game I play the most is PLO. It's probably my favorite but also scariest game. This is also the reason why I have very low volume. I'm scared of losing and not playing perfectly. I'm also very lazy. As a beginner I can't obviously play perfectly but I can get over the fear of losing and overcome laziness.

That's the reason I am making this thread. Maybe I will be able to get over my fears and improve my work ethic if I keep myself accountable and have to post my daily results here.

The goal is to get to 2000€ by the end of November and hopefully keep going after that. I'll start at PLO 10 and start taking shots at PLO 20 when I hit 800€. I want to table select very hard and play only tables with guys with bad stats. I'll also table select very good PLO8 10€ or 20€ games and when not grinding cash games throw in some <2.5€ tournaments with good guarantees.

As far as volume goes I want to play 40+ hours weeks. I'll be also studying PLO Quick PRO materials and review hands in HEM once in a while.

My super low volume pre-challenge graph on the new site since July:

Let's do this!

PS: This is my first thread so if I made any mistake please let me know and I'll fix it. I also apologize for any grammar mistakes, English is my second language.

Alright first day update.

Wasted most my day on the internet. Only started grinding after five o'clock. Played PLO8 10€ and 20€ cash games for three hours, playing one to three tables. Played only at good tables and made small profit.

After that I needed to calm down so I played two tournies for two hours. PLO and NLHE. Unfortunately busted both before the money.

For tomorrow I want to start playing earlier in the day and don't waste so much time. Also I need to play more hours.

Again no poker for first 7 hours of a day. I am mad at myself for that. But on the other hand I am pretty happy about today results.

Played PLO 10€ for 4 hours mostly 4 tabling and managed to get in about 1k hands. Played only on tables with at least 1 very loose player.

Noticed that my red line is going down quite fast. I think it's because when I am on the table with several loose opponents it's almost certain the flop will go multiway and I will have to fold a lot multiway. I think the best fix is to tighten my preflop raising range considerably when on such tables.

Also it's probably a good idea to limp behind with appropriate hands on passive tables on the button and steal the pot postflop sometimes.

Just finished in 3rd place in 2.20€ NLHE tournament for 29€. I'm very happy right now. Obviously I was running very good in it for finishing 3/103. Mostly playing tight and getting paid. Bluffed only a little and also caught a bunch of bluffs. I think I should work on getting more value though.

Also my HEM is only for Omaha small stakes so it doesn't work on tournies lol. I have to take notes instead of looking at stats.

Anyway today I played two NLHE tournies which I busted before the money. One freezeout and one superturbo. Then I played PLO8 10€ and 20€ on mediocre tables and lost around 6€. My redline keeps going down. I have to keep playing and see if I can figure out how to fix it. And after that was the freezeout tourny in which I finished 3rd.

Overall played 6 hours of 3 NLHE tournies and 2 hours of PLO8 10€ and 20€.

October 3: 548€

Hey gl with your goals and volume, just a bit of advice watch out playing plo8 at micros because the rake will eat you alive with all the split pots , unless you are playing it for just fun of course
