So we're a few days into the new year and my life run bad continues. I sent some money to a friend of mine to use during my trip home and Skrill locked it up. Could take as long as 10 weeks for them to unfreeze his account. So tilting.
Also, it's only been 5 days since I last played poker and when I got to SNE, I told myself that the 3 weeks I was taking off and not playing was going to be the most incredible thing ever, and yet after only 5 days I already miss playing.

Errr can you send this friend the money you owe him? Need the 'roll padding. Thanks.

I am doing a similar thing to you this year, 12 tabling tiled and trying to select as much as I can.

Man, I have really gotten spoiled by the argentinian and colombian chicas, because all the girls in my hometown just look downright not attractive, it's been really depressing. Plus it's really hard going from a city where there's something to do every night, to one where you can only really find stuff to do on the weekends. Was still really nice to take a break from playing and regroup, especially after my terrible december, but I'm definitely read to start back grinding for the year.

Hey everyone,

Time for an update. So, I went through some backer limbo for about a week or so, which made me possibly have to reconsider long term goals, but now I've got everything sorted out and it's off to the races. I must say, playing only 8 tables feels amazing, I definitely feel like I'm playing much better. I intended not to play any 60s this year (since I need a 150 ABI) but I decided that for the first 2 months or so some 60s will be good to help me avoid a killer swing right out of the gate. I've been doing a lot of reviewing and I'm still only loading games with 2 randoms in them, and for the first time in a long time, I really feel like I'm quite plus ev in the games I'm playing. Of course this could just be bias, since my sample size is still lolable, but time will tell. I have a friendly wager with my best friend who doesn't play poker that if I make 50k in the next 3 months, he will move to Argentina and pick up the hyper grind with me so vammmmooos!

I now play only 8, and I'm back to tiling. At no point this year do I intend to go higher than 10. I plan to increase ABI instead of increase tables because I think getting burned out like I did last year is a huge huge concern. I won't go through another year like last one, I plan to be completely done playing by Dec 1st.

Whelp, still in the neg for the year bout 2k (along with being around 9k under ev) and yet I completely don't care, I feel like I'm playing better than I ever have, and my redline is reflecting. I've done some postflop coaching sessions and I feel I'm gradually improving in this area, not to mention playing less tables as allowed me time to see more plus ev lines to take. Totally hourly isn't as awesome as it should be yet, because my ABI is still around 90, but I plan playing out this month and then gradually dropping 60s from my sessions (been running bad in them anyway lol). Also played some low stakes HU cap to expose myself to some interesting post flop spots and I think I took a few good ones away and a few more dollars as well. GL at the tables everyone!

Believe it or not, I love when days start like this, I get this sick motivation to get my green line back, and I think I get the most focused and determined. Vamosssss!

Well I tried gallantly to get the greenline back to even, but alas, it was not to be. However, obviously not upset about how I played today. Still looking great EV wise for the month, just need to keep on keeping on, and maybe my Sklansky bucks will turn into real money someday.



Yep, this is my new little guy and he is a handful to be sure, but I already love him to death. Had to name him Whiskey obvvv.

Beagle!! FWIW mine is now 18 months old and the first 12-15 were extremely tough but so worth it now. Don't take your eyes off him for a second would be my advice!! haha

Yeah, he's only about 2 months old now, and my 2 biggest problems are that he is proving extremely difficult to house train and he tries to eat everything (which in a rented apartment can be very bad). I'm thinking about getting a trainer for him because I don't have the time to do all the training myself.

Yeh I struggled with house training, ended up using puppy pads which she got used to eventually but there were times where I was convinced she was just mocking me and enjoyed watching me clean it up. We still use pads now when we go to bed we put one down in the bathroom for her. No way am I brave enough to let a Beagle roam free downstairs on her own while I sleep! All Beagle's are the same from what I know, there hobby is destroying ***** and seeing how many pieces they can get objects to go into. I've lost remotes, joint pads, shoes, phone lines...the list goes on. Good luck
