You should make the goal you have already made it past the most dangerous and scary part. Now if you lose you can just drop back down.

I agree. And yeah the $2 bankroll was a fragile spot.

I've been sucking at poker lately. Let's hope I don't have to drop back down.

Week 12 was another rough week. Do you ever have a bad run and you can't figure out if it's because you are running bad or maybe you just suck at poker? It was one of those weeks. Was down most of the week, but had a great recover on Sunday, winning over 5 buy-ins to end the week positive.

I'm realizing more and more every week how my tilt issues affect my game, and make my bad runs worse. I make bad calls and take bluffs too far, changing my plan each street because I want to win that pot. All these ugly things in my game come out worse when I'm running bad.

There were a lot of interesting hands last week, but as usual, I could only fit just a few in the 10 minute video. If you guys wanna see more hand reviews, lemme know and I might start making some extra hand review videos outside this $2 challenge series.

Checkout this week's progress and the 4 interesting hands in the video below. Feel free to comment on the video, I wanna hear what you guys think of the hands.

+$19.54 - Profit from Week 12

7 bb/100 - Win Rate

$257.84 - Balance to date

12.9% - Progress so far
Goal for next week: 10 bb/100 at NL5

Here are results from Week 12:

Great video. Don't get too discouraged by the slightly slower progress. 7bb/100 is still beating it pretty bad. Also, your V range reading keeps getting better! Helps to hear a good thought process as I am trying to work on mine.

Hi, i started 888poker with the 2$ bonus too. Im with 11$ right now but only played 320 hands on 6max tables. Was it easy to withdraw the money from 888 poker? They have no moneybookers option which would be so much faster. Did they gave you any problems for withdrawing without making any deposit first?

Pretty nice win rate so far.

I haven't withdrawn yet. I am starting the process now though, and I'll let you know how it goes. I just submitted ID and waiting for confirmation before I can go ahead. I'm a bit worried about the following statement on their website:
"In general, 888 Poker’s withdrawal policy is to return your money via the same payment processing method used to submit your deposit."

Nevermind i lost it all cause of tilt lol. I was in a table with a guy that never used chat and everyone was calling him a fish, he had like 5$ so was up at least 4$, he was calling everyones raises\all ins even pre flop with stuff like 7-2o. so i got KK and Ak, cause it was him i put him all in and ofc in both times he had the most stupid hands but somehow managed to beat me in the all in so i got pissed and went to play SNG with my entire bankroll lol

Make a minimum deposit with your preferred option and then withdrawal is available for the next 6 months if i recall.

Ouch. Well that's one way to solve the withdraw problem. Better luck next time around hopefully

Hey guys,

I had a pretty rough week. I'm gonna talk about it later when I post the week 13 video. Basically I was feeling pretty bad about poker. I'm feeling a bit better after this NL2 Zoom session today. Seems the fish were out in full force this Sunday. I just had to share this image.

And a 2nd table, same session, around $15 stack. I kept playing for an extra 2 hours because I just wanted to win a bit more so I could see a $20 stack at an NL2 table. But alas, the cards were apathetic to my desire. Still, $18 at one table, can't complain.

Some of it is on Stars, some on 888. It's around $300 now.

Cheers and good luck at the tables

Sure can.

VPIP - PFR - AF - name - hands
Limp - Limp fold - 3bet - fold to 3bet - steal - fold to steal
cbet flop - turn
fold to cbet flop - turn
raise flop - turn
fold to raise flop - turn
float bet flop - turn
fold to float bet flop - turn

I want the river stats on there, but there isn't enough room.

Most of this is pretty standard. I got the idea for some raise and float from blackrain's blog.

I'm considering ending this video series. It just takes so long to make the videos, at least 1 day. I'm considering just playing more poker instead. I haven't decided yet. But if you guys like the videos at all, likes and comments on youtube is very encouraging for me. It keeps me going.

My brain isn't running at full capacity now, so I'm gonna do some bullet points instead of sentences.
  • Not doing well at NL5.
  • I have mental game issues.
  • NL2 Zoom saves my ass every Sunday.
  • Being in Thailand sucks because the best time to play poker is after midnight and I don't like vampire degen life-style.
4 interesting hands in this week's video. Checkout the one hand that helped me get an $18.50 stack at an NL2 table.

+$28.07 - Profit from Week 13

8.3 bb/100 - Win Rate

$295.37 - Balance to date

14.8% - Progress so far
Goal for next week: Try NL5 6-max and 10 bb/100 would be nice.

Great video.

Curious as to why you are switching to 6max?

Thanks Freak. Tightness and aggressiveness are two separate things. If I am a nit, then I am an aggro nit, definitely not a passive nit. I think you mean to say play looser. And that is something I sure can think about.

I will answer that with nice list.
  1. Try something new
  2. Except its not new. I played 6-max with play money before I started real money. So I kinda have a lot of experience at it.
  3. When there is a whale at the table, Fewer regs to battle for his stack
  4. I might discover that I'm a better 6-max player than FR
  5. I'm moving up to NL10000 next week, and there are more 6-max tables
  6. More room for HUD stats on the screen
  7. Must play fewer tables, resulting in a less crowded screen
  8. Become a more eclectic player

"Freakman" comment above makes no sense!

I'm liking the vids. Keep them coming! Have you read the mental game of poker?

Makes sense! I wish you best of luck. As you probably know, variance will be higher.
I play 6 max because they are really the only games with enough action on US sites.

Also, I am sad to hear the vids might be stopping, but I understand! May do one once a month or every other week?

Or you could just post some hand histories of the hands you would review in the videos.
