anyway, nice read OP, would prefer if you went a little bit more in depth but it's your thread and your privacy. could you type more about your poker history ? it's like that you went on Thailand and started crushing z500 from live background - doesnt seem logical at all keep printiiiiiiiin
Ty. Another reason why its hard to go in depth is because so much ****ign happened. Yup will write abit about my poker history below.

What I would say though is that people find happiness in different ways. I wouldn't be so quick to say X is the wrong way and Y is correct. Also, the ways in which you find happiness will almost certainly change throughout your life.
Agree with this. Right/wrong in general is something that cant be answered for a multitude of things. People who dont realise this lack open mindedness.
Poker History (short version)
I really started playing poker in my semester abroad in Australia 2015. I was a complete fish back then but ran like a god and i guess there was some logic to my plays that worked (live). I shot took very aggro and ran it up pretty fast. I also played way too high lol. Ultimately this obviously ended in me going close to bust. Man so many stories to tell in my yougn life i feel
A couple months later I decided to take it more seriously (still kind of a fish), and just started playing online. I was pretty aggro in taking shots and didnt really give too much of a **** wrt bankroll management. I started playing 100z very early and ran good, so that just kinda became the stake I hopped in at I guess. I played decent volume and for some reason my weird logic seemed to work and I was winning. Now, I had no experience with online downswings yet and how hard these can be, which ended in me quitting for a while again.
I guess its noteworthy to say that Im a very quick learner and have a strong affinity to maths and logic, high IQ yadayada.
So when I decided to start playing again, I actually decided to study more too. I started to slowly understand more in depth concepts and game theory (even though a lot of that was faulty), and grinded more at 100z.
I also played live every once in a while (also funny story of me being backed in some big games and alooooot of degen stories tbh).
I just realised that theres too much to write about once again so lets just jump forward to 2017.
So 2017 I was somewhat solid for 100z standards, so that was the game I played when I first moved to thailand.
Im not a fan of posting big graphs or monetary results, but for the sake of it, heres how I moved up this year:
- Grinded 100z for 1-2 months at around 7ev.
- Moved up to 200z for 1-2 months at around 6ev.
- I also played on soft sites at higher stakes in between every once in a while, but didnt like it even though the money was good.
- And now im playing 500z at around 5ev, but I think there is still room upwards and I dont have that big of a sample yet, so well see.
Needless to say I also studied a **** ton this year as opposed to pre 2017. This allowed me to move up pretty fast
