Marathon review session completed this morning after I'd fallen behind quite a bit on that side of things.

Relatively happy that I'm playing a good game at the moment. A few questionable calls with short stacks where I was gambling a little too much.

Found a few spots also where I'm shoving too wide but nothing huge.

Playing an unexpected session tonight and I've a chance to get in 40+ games depending on the traffic!

Decent session last night, got 8 ITM out of 25 games.

Unfortunately no gold from my 3 final tables though, highest was 3rd along with a 4th and a 7th. Had an FT bubble also where I lost A9o to QTo bvb. Disappointing to only come away with 16BIs when so many deeps but a winning session is a winning session so I should not really complain.

The most impressive figure of the last 7 days is my volume = 183 games!

Disappointing week volume wise so far as I didn't play anything since Monday until tonight.

That aside the ROI is great as I picked up 5 ITMs in 26 games. Got 3 games to the FT, the first two ended in 5th after some standard variance and what not but I got the remainder all the way to HU were I feel I pummeled a reg into submission to pick up the win!

Happy with that obv, need to get a lot of games in tomorrow and Sunday to keep on top of volume!

Action packed day at the tables but I felt some long overdue variance today.

Played 25 games in the afternoon session with my highest finish being 7th along with a few other mincashes despite building up many stacks there was no getting them over the line.

In the night session things were pretty much the same although for a long time I was busting games constantly before I could get any rhythm going. In the end I managed a 2nd place to put a better figure on the loss ($45)

Biggest losing day so far. Oh well, there will no doubt be much worse down the line.

OK so a few milestones have been reached today.

My stake started a month ago and since June 13th I've played a record breaking 620 games which is nearly 40% my volume of $2.50 180s (1,609) according to Sharkscope.

Weekly volume is 197 which sees a slight increase on last week (+14) which is another positive.

Sunday:

I've mentioned more than a few times lately that my eye is hurting and today was no different. I need to sleep more! I just cannot sleep enough lately and it's getting annoying.

Anyways, the day started off horribly. Split the day into 2 sessions and managed 21 in first session. Had a bunch of stacks but my highest finish was 8th (KQ < KJ) and had some big beats on the last 2 tables. As well as that I lost some good stacks from 40th to the bubble which was tilting. 2 12ths closed out the session.

The evening started much the same. First ITM I busted 12th (sigh) and everything else in between was coolered. I let out some anger when I had my AA cracked by AT (runner runner straight iirc) but a break soon came and after some fresh air and a talking to myself I regrouped a little and fought back.

After this I built 3 stacks and got ITM in all and was looking decent in 2 for an FT shot. Lost 1 to a min cash but did manage to FT the last two. Had a huge stack in the first 4 handed and bulldozed my way to the win to save the day.

In the other I wasn't as fortunate once I made it to HU and lost to a better player who hit the deck really hard. Fair play, can't complain.

Really happy with how I regrouped and saved the day and added some on top for good measure.

Gonna rest up for tomorrow and chillax and hopefully back midweek for some more fun!

Almost good to see a family man find a way to succeed at poker as well.

Congrats buddy, keep up the great job! As Zjak mentioned it's nice seeing a family man committing himself to the game in a healthy way and working his way out there. GL

Thank you both.

It does require a lot of patience and it has taken me the best part of 5 years to come to terms with work/family/kids/wife/poker but so far things are going well for all parties. Getting into a good rhythm and really hoping I can keep that momentum going forward as much as possible.

Will be adding some $8 180s in my next sessions. Just 1 in every 10 games to get a taste for it and see how that goes. I've never played the rebuys (just never been a fan of the rebuy format in general) so giving the $3Rs a miss seems like the better option.

I have played the $8s before, 43 games according to Sharkscope with my highest finish being 6th with 2 other FT appearances 8th and 9th.

Looking forward. Now, I need to get some sleep!

Thank you! Let's hope for a good start!

Depending on how my eye feels I may have a session tonight with a few shots included.

If not tonight then definitely tomorrow.

Disappointing session tonight unfortunately for results, volume was decent though - 30 games bringing me up nice to 300 for the month so far.

We had 3 shots at the $8s which went pretty unspectacular. Definitely noticed a huge difference in the player pool, tons of hardcore grinders compared to the 2s but I kinda expected that.

Only one FT tonight and a couple of near misses (14th and 15th). I finished the FT in 5th after losing KK to AA for a nice old fashion cooler!

Other than that, I feel I played well throughout. There is one hand I probably made a bad decision on and will definitely need to learn from it.

Hoping for another decent session tomorrow as the Mrs will be out with friends.

Rough day at the office today.

46 games but just one FT for the whole day which I ended up busting 3rd in a very standard spot. Battled with 6BBs for most of the FT so proud to have held out but need a top 2 to save the day a little.

So many coolers and beats tonight as I fear the long overdue downswing is here.

Thinking positively though, played really well, kept my cool and that's about all you can do right?

Hoping for better days ahead!

Been a busy few days at work and at home so I've not played any more poker.

I haven't been neglecting it though and have spent some time studying some of Wednesdays games as well as reviewing games from a fellow reg which proved to be a bit of an eye opener for me.

Hope to get some game time in today, tonight and tomorrow!

Another insane day of run bad yesterday as the downswing begins to gather momentum.

Regged 55 games including 8 x $1.50 45s while traffic was light and the best I could manage all day was a 3rd and 4th in the 180s and a 2nd in a 45 for another losing day.

In good news, I've reached 400 games so anything I play for the rest of the month is bonus territory in regards to volume.

Will have another session today and after that it will be unclear as to when I play again as we are going away on Tuesday for 3 nights.

ROI is still above target! Let's hope the downswing doesn't eat into more of it though!

Today was OK, we had a small profit but again didn't get anything higher than 4th with a whole load of heartbreak in the mix.

2 4ths and a 5th make up the chunk of the profit with a 11th, 16th and a 19th rounding off today's scores out of 31 games for a 22.5% ROI and a 19.4% ITM ratio.

This is my first week of the stake that I am in MU which obv sucks but there's not much I can do but grind that **** out. Feeling I'm beginning to get a little tilted (just slightly) so I'm done for today earlier than usual.

Will get a session in tomorrow before finishing up for until at least Friday, maybe even Saturday and maybe even nothing for the week.

I've already grinded the 400 games and made SilverStar so those goals are completed!

GL in the stake/challenge mate.

Considered the $2 180's myself but they're kind of my nemesis

I decided yesterday to discontinue with my backer and go on my own from this point while I have the money in my account to do so. It was kind of pointless to continue when I had the funds accrued from the first 6 weeks.

We've ended things well and the option is there to go back at any time which I really appreciate it

Time for a break - back on Friday but probably won't play again until Saturday night

Yeah, started a challenge similar to SandManNess' stream. Trying to go from $100 to $10k (or thereabouts). Been playing $1.50 18 and 45's for the last week but moved to the $3.50's yesterday.

Didn't realize you were playing 45's too, would I recognize the SN?
