Reached the 1k game milestone (since June 13th) and have begun a nice $200 (so far) downswing.

Cannot complain (yet) though as I'm still rocking an above average ROI of 28%

Week in review

To say that the first week in August has been testing is an absolute understatement!

As I've alluded to above, things have been going from bad to worse during the last 9 days. Confidence has taken quite a big hit and I've even found myself second guessing whether I'm pushing/folding in spots that 10 days ago I was just doing what I should be doing. I haven't been reviewing as much as I'd like although I did watch Collin Moshman's latest video which led me to believe that I am on the right track.

The one good thing so far this month is volume. I've played 209 games so far this month which is more than 26/day which is high for me and I would expect to play a decent sized session today to bring that up even further. Reviews as I've said have been slack but I have started to implement HRC into my reviews which should help me with 3bet calling ranges where I definitely was far too tight.

All-in-all, results are **** but everything else is going fine - let's hope it's just short term because I really don't want to go back looking for 100% backing again - as that would be a disaster. This week I've dropped $326 at my highest peak which is 120BIs right there. Time to arrest this slide and get back to printing money I think!

Played another session last night where I finally got past 4th place! Unfortunately, it was a 2nd but I will absolutely take it. Unlucky in our final hand A6o < 85o despite flopping the Ace. The turn and river both brought a 5 but as I said I'll take it and hopefully it's the beginning of the end of this downswing.

Had another 4 cashes out of 20 games but my flipping skillz let me down in those and I couldn't manage another FT appearance.

I've come to the last 25 games of my current stake and once finished I'll consider my options (depending on how my bankroll is at that point)

Tonight, I'm going for drinks with a friend whom I haven't seen in ages so I'm really looking forward to that. It's been over a year since I've had a proper night out with friends!

Week in review
Fell 20 games short of my goal this week but considering I dropped 3 tables early on in the week I'm not that bothered. Also, I'm still over 300 for the month so all is good.

If the first week in August was tough, the second certainly didn't get any easier. My ITM was very low (10%) and consequently I made very few final tables (6) In those final tables, my highest placing was 2nd along with a couple of 4ths, a fifth and a couple of 9ths. It's top 3 or nothing in these 180s so my net winnings was never going to be huge this week when all the above is considered. (-$152.28)

Study wise this week was OK, could do better. I swapped a few HH with some regs and worked a little earlier in the week on my push/fold. I need to spend more time analyzing in HRC this week. To that end I must buy myself a subscription for it and make good use.

Yesterday was a positive day.

Picked up my first win since August 1st to arrest the bankroll slide. At one point I had dropped 203 BIs. Let's hope that is the end of that. Have a lot of work to do on my game so it's time to knuckle down and get that done this week.

I will continue to 9 table for the time being as I'm more solid this way.

Also had a nice win in the MEGABONUS promotion this morning
