Runs runs runs, so many deep runs again. 25 Games this session (2300 hands), won a whopping 30$ at a evbb/100 of 9.

As for results:
Final tabled the B7.50, came in 5/9 but then lost AQ < 44 and finally 99 < QJo for a 7th place of 275$, bit disappointing with 1700$ on top but really happy with the way I've been playing lately.

Some other runs that bricked: 22nd in 11PSKO, 19 in 7.5$ hyper & 15th in 27$ psko. Had quite big stacks that got demolished in all three of them.

Will do some more studying today, got some ft's to review now

Do you plan to own roll yourself at some point? Is the stake a time duration or games or open-ended?

Question: You often read about gambling being illegal in Thailand, how do you get away with playing pokerstars? Are they aware you are playing from a Thai IP address?

Yea neither ps/thai gov seems to give a f*ck about it, even if they did, it's like a handful of people throughout the whole country who actually plays poker online, not worth the trouble.

Parents of the gf weren't too happy about the idea (obviously), but it seems like she has her mind set to go to Samui so I'm confident we'll go sometime this year.
Thing is, I've never really had a job and it's probably not as easy to switch as I imagine it to be (just call your boss and say you're not coming in anymore). I realise that it needs some time so don't expect to leave tomorrow, definitely sometime this year tho, guessing july/august.

As for being staked, I could choose between 1/2 year and I chose the latter (gave me a slightly better deal).
Don't think I'll go on my own anytime soon unless I make some ridiculous score, would really want a couple hundred thousand in my bankaccount to face highstakes on my own.

My results the last 2 days haven't been as good as the rest of the week, down ~400$, ran into a lot of gross spots so ev is hovering around 0 as well.
Played well today & feel good about quitting early yesterday when I felt like I wasn't playing optimally.

Still had some f3ts/f2ts and a ft of a 25$ fo on 888 (4th), but everything bricked.

Fwiw, maybe it's a placebo effect/variance but I didn't meditate these last 2 days.

Taking rest of the day off & going out tonight. Probably sleep most of tomorrow and start my grind somewhere in the evening.

Bit of a disappointing but nevertheless satisfying sunday.

Got 18th in the 30$ evening on 888 (8k gtd with 2.5k overlay, nice value lol.
Besides that the only interesting run was a 30th place in la fievre which had 10k on top, sucked after being one of the big stacks with 50 left.

Played 30 games with an evbb/100 of 7, quite happy withmy play as I felt like I played my A-game for the most part.

Last week spent a lot of time working on my mental game, listening to podcasts etc. Main improvement Is that I'm going into sessions with a better mindset, and I'm focusing on that all throughout the session. Sure I still get distracted/lose focus plenty, but now I notice it more and more and try to get it back.

Will continue focusing on this throughout the rest of this week, hopefully I can still make up some MU ground before scoop.

Really frustrating day.

Finished last nights session around 7, went to bed and got woken up around 12 because someone came over to fix our airco. So all is good with the world and I decide to order some food and just spend the rest of the day in bed, sleeping some more and grinding at night.

So I ask my gf to pass me my laptop, and as she picks it up there's a wave of water coming out of it... Woops. I then recalled spilling a bit of water over it last night, wiped it off and figured it was no biggy. However as I tried to start up my laptop, nothing happened. It simply didn't turn on, so **** my life I actually had to get out of bed today.

Got dressed and grabbed a cab to 'central plaza' (20minute drive south of my apt). Got a big breakfast at a japanese restaurant and then went to all laptop stores, none of them had a repair service.
So a guy told us to go to 'future park' (45m drive north of us), so that was f*cking great as well. Got a new cab over there and found a store willing to repair my laptop for 3000 baht (75€), he also offered to fix my 2, yes 2, broken keys for an additional 10.000 baht (250€), genuinely the worst attempt at ripping someone off I've ever encountered 555.

So we spent 5 hours just waiting around the arcade in the mall, really love arcades and I still don't get why they're extinct in the west, and then we could finally pick up the laptop. The guy then told us that even tho the laptop works fine again, the battery died and he couldn't fix/change it. So I literally paid 75€ for a guy to dry my laptop with a towel and tell me what I already knew.

Anyways, took the laptop back home and now I hope it'll work fine, I have a backup laptop in case of a blackout.

My girlfriend however, thought that the idea of a battery dying because of water sounded a little too far fetched. There is another explanation which is ofcourse way more plausible: The ghost that's apparently been living on our apartment for the last 3 months doesn't like us and wants us to leave. She (its indoubtebly a girl), therefore destroyed my battery, hoping that we'd take it as a sign to get the hell out of here.

So on the bright side my gf is 100% sure she wants to move to koh samui now and she'll do her best to find a new job, I guess the ghost got what she wanted in the end.


On a serious note, will finally head to bed and get some rest, have groupcoaching at 2am. Hoping to feel good enough to get up, attend coaching and grind afterwards. But if I feel too shattered I'll skip and grind the morning/day.

Bricked everything today except for the 35$ deep on 888, which I shipped for 650$, woo! Up 100$ only overall tho, feels good to win a tournament however.

Agreed. I like 888 overall but some things are so f*cking stupid there.

20 games today, -50$. Played pretty well overall, ev was meh (3) but positive at least. Spotted some leaks before my session which I worked on while playing, went pretty well overall.
Really nothing else to say about today.

Was still too tight pre in some spots & sb play wasn't always optimal, definitely made some big changes there.

27 games last night, 3k hands and an evbb of 12. Felt like I absolutely crushed it, even tho very few things went my way. Definifely played my A-game throughout most of the session.

Bricked most runs but also made 1 ft in a 22$ deepstack on 888. With 4 left after 2h of ft play I had 50% of chips in play with over 100bb, after that got absolutely brutalised and ended up busting in 4th 1.5h later.
Feel like I played the ft really well however, will review it today to try and spot some leaks.

One last session tonight before scoop kicks off, definitely feeling good & motivated.

So 2 really good shots today, ft'd H16.50 (came in 4/9 and busted 8th AJ < AQ bvb) then next the 11r (11th AQ<A3, A5<44). both well over 2k on top so ul.

played 30 games, broke even and played roughly 3k hands. EV looked pretty decent but there was a massive dropoff for 700 hands (200bb), where my EV went straight down.
Reviewed it just now since I was a little worried but it was just an endless streak of being carddead, so I didn't spew.

Feel like I'm playing really well and I'm super confident in my game. Taking off tomorrow and then sunday I'll be ready to take on SCOOP

So scoop started today and I decided to take off with a big session. Started at 6pm and just finished at 6am, so a perfect 12 hour session.

Played a total of 52 games, 90% regspeeds & 8-tabling most of the time (little bit of 10-tabling around peaktime). No scores so dropped 700$.
So first of all really happy with my grind, playing well and feeling good too. Really found peace with 8-tabling and starting to feel like 'crushing' more than just grinding the games. A lot more interesting spots and situations therefore as well, which adds to ev & fun.

Also a little change, I'm now allowed to add some 44's (Bigs & bb's), which is a nice little step up.
Lastly, my coach pointed out that I post my evbb almost daily and that it's really silly to read into it since the samples are so small. I'll therefore try to just look at my ev at the end of the week so that I don't get too distracted by it.

Will grind almost every day and try to play all nlh games in my bi range. Goal is to start around 6 every day and see where it takes me, hopefully more sessions like today since it's great for volume.

Just a quick update:

Been grinding away these last couple of days. Dropped 500ish on monday and breakeven over the last couple of days.

Had a deep run in event #2, then a deep run in event #10 where I busted 30mins before day 2 (about 150th). Sucked after playing from 12-10.

At least I made day 2 in my first attempt of #51.

Besides that some deep runs in the H5.50, 16.50$BB & B44 but they all bricked in the end.

F*ck Scoop

This week has been pure agony thus far. Despite some really deep runs in large events I managed to brick literally everything and didn't get a single ft. My total downswing since my peak this year is like 8k, which was a bit of a hit to find out this morning, will it ever stop? Whine more.

Anyways, considering just doing some low-variance daygrinds during the week instead of dropping another 100+ buyins next week trying to chase a big score. I'll see how I feel, tonight at least I'll just grind in the evening instead of all throughout the night.

Hope it turns around for you soon, man! Fwiw I think lower table count and a lower variance schedule during the week can work wonders. I started scoop like that last year and kept grinding lots of tables and long hours, really wish I didn't in hindsight.
