I have been playing cash game for years but for last one year or so I also play some DoN as the entry point to tournament poker while still main play cash game. I am just break even at DoN (played about 2K DoN 6max $10 buyin in May this year, made zero profit at table but profit with RB, IPad and bonus), not sure I should continue to learn DoN or start to learn regular SNG now...honesty speaking, I am not sure I even actually know DoN very well.

Honestly I'd say to just stick with cash because SNGs have gotten really tough for the most part and you have to be pretty decent to make any money, even at low stakes (like $5s and 10s). DoN's are hard to make money at anyway .

Well after running really really well my first session, I got buttraped the last 2 sessions . Oh well, feeling like I'm playing pretty well, gonna grab some dinner, look at some HH's and then get back at it.

I'll start posting graphs just at the end of the night with SS lines at each update along with LB points.

Yo Jd4wg, what's the deal with the Carbon sng LB? Is it the same player pool as the Lock one we are playing towards, or is it totally separate? I visited the carbon page for it but there was no actual leaderboard to be found.

If it is a separate competition, why isn't anybody blowing that one up? Most of the big names grinding the $5s-$20s are all on the Lock LB. I'm a little confused lol.

Yea as I said its the same player pool. IIRC RPM players aren't eligible for the sng leaderboard (that may be wrong but i sware thats what I read).

Just had a b/e sesh again, gonna go finish going through some HEM numbers of other regs comparing my #'s to theirs. Then prolly look at a few spots and maybe get in another session. After starting the day really well, its been all downhill

Oh well, long month ahead of us so plenty of time to run good.

End of Day 1 Report


Well, 1 day down, and 30 more to go in this month. Got off to a good start today which is always good, but during the middle of my day everything started to go wrong, but then I turned it around at the end of the session and managed to make some good money on the day pre RB which is always super nice when you're playing as many games as I am.

There's going to be a lot of graphs and random visual shiz in each report at night, going to try my best to leave a ton of info itt.

First of all, here's my graph on the day pre and post RB.




And unfortunately, HEM imports the $2s as $11s, so the EV graph is off, but here's the EV graph for the $5s only on the day.



As you can see by fluctuation of the greenline, the variance is pretty absurd in these...but fun nonetheless


And here's my chip EV distribution on the day, ran pretty bad at 50/100 today




And finally, here's the leaderboard at the end of the first day. I think my streaker bonus is still 2 (low), I'll have to see if i can figure it out tonight after I'm done playing.




Gonna prolly do a little more HH review, then call it a night.
