Thanks mate. I've had a few attempts at 100NL that havent gone well so it isnt like I haven't tried. But I will maybe get back to mixing it in. Not been on 2+2 much latley so Ill check your pgc thread soon and see how you are getting on.

Dude I have been playing 50NL for what seems like forever. As I was saying to Ben my 100NL attempts havent went well. I used to win decent on the deep stack 100NL tables but in the 100bb games I have lost money @ 100NL. Its easy to say move up but I win at 50NL and loose at 100NL. How is things anyway, still crushing the games you are playing?

Seems there is some white privellege/racism debate breaking out in Benas thread so I just read your pgc thread instead to take in some of these 400NL hands. I'll check back in to see if you post monthly results to see how things are going.

Yeah its time the poker gods granted me some run good at 100NL or else I will go back and beat these 50NL kids about the ring for 10bb/100 lol. Yeah I had a feeling you would be quietly making a few $ from this game still.

That was one of my head to heads in that high stakes soccer DFS contest. My opponent wasent even a soccer Reg, I dunno who he is. He picked a fishy lineup and smashed me. Being Scottish it seems to be a rule that you are forever punished by England at football. John Stones usually averages about 2 or 3 points per game in DFS. But when I am in a $5k entry competition Stones decides to score 2 goals and ruin me and add in a nice -9 for my GK. Every day seemed to go like that I lost the next one cos of Cristiano Ronaldo missing a PK. I will be out for revenge next season.

If you are serious about getting into it ill pm you some tips and sources to check out if you want.

If you are already used to dealing with numbers/stats/variance/BRM from Poker then you already have a head start. Cash game DFS Soccer is difficult because you cant afford any mistakes in your LU.

Large field GPPs are a bit like MTTs lots of donks and dead money. I remember looking at lineup %s from a world cup slate and 10% of entrants chose an injured player who never started or played a minute. People set lineups the night before and forget to check their starting lineups. Where as you cant afford mistakes in Cash games, making more contrarian picks in GPPs can pay off due to low ownership %s. In football anyone can score a goal so most players become acceptable GPP plays. Ive printed money in GPPs from day one with good ROI.


Monitor Troubles
I was watching the Liverpool game on Saturday and wanted to watch Southampton game at same time for DFS. Moves my monitor over to the TV so I can watch both, plugs the monitor back in and it refuses to come on. 34inch widescreen monitor and is the main unit I play poker on. Its only about 18 months old but looks completely bricked right now. Spent a few hours scouring the net tryna see if there is a quick fix but nope. I have contacted the manufacturuer and will try get a repair under warranty.

Its a bit tilting playing poker on a smaller monitor than what I am used to but I did notice that Stars runs a lot smoother and quicker without that bigger monitor on my setup. Maybe it takes strain off the graphics card or something, I dunno.

I have a lot of $ entered on this weeks football action on DK so I better hit up some Stars action now while I can.

Lost a bunch of money on Saturday, lineup was decent but bubbled most games due to losing at Goalkeeper roullete (Fabianski).

I have always followed football and I couldnt afford Sky Tv or anything to watch the games so I watched matches via online streams which were quite often from USA broadcasts. During the ad breaks I used to see the adverts/commercials for DraftKings and FanDuel but they were never available in the UK. I followed DK on twitter and then one day I see them announce on twitter they were enetering UK market so I signed up right away and just started clicking buttons and making mistakes until I learned how to play.

Best resource for soccer DFS is to check out Rotowire. Soccer DFS has grown and taken a boost after the world cup in the summer so it seems to be moving forward right now. A lot of DFS players are ex-poker players that made the switch years ago after black Friday and online poker getting tougher. Of course you can make a living from DFS, it is easier if you play american sports cos the games and prizes are so much bigger compared to soccer.

I have been on the DFS grind since I got up. Played some Stars action Friday night but never had time to get any poker in today.



I dont always play buy-ins as big as $180 but I satelited into that one. Had a good day of making the cash line in double ups and winning GPPs with my other LU's.




A good day was only a few points away from being a great day.




An example of the disgustingly top heavy GPP payout structure on DK. I had 10 entries in the top 20 of that GPP but missed out on the 1st unfortunately. I have made some strategical changes this season that I have been thinking about. I have also went a little more aggressive with how much $ and how many entries I am putting in per slate. Hopefully recent results are a sign that these changes are having a positive impact.

Great results brother. I had a few great line ups but staying true to my team(Arsenal) and fading Arnautovic hurt me a bit.

Whats up bro, good to hear you are still playing some DFS, that world cup was brutal. Yeah the Arnautovic play come through for me on Sat, was low owned cos @ Arsenal so give me some good leverage where I needed it. Arsenal plays were a fine choice though they were 2nd biggest fave on slate behind Liverpool. I had Iwobi, Mkhi, Auba in plenty of LUs. DraftKings VIP have invited me to Arsenal v Crystal Palace in October, 3 course meal, drinks etc. I support United but my mate is a big Arsenal fan so me and him are gonna head down to London for it.

I burned a decent bit of cash on EPL earlier, I had plenty Seri, Mitrovic but not enough Hazard and too much Morata. Champions league slates will be back on mid week for the last qualifying round I will be playing that.


Broken Monitor Update

I figured the monitor was out of warranty cos Ive had it 18months so I decided to open the back of it to see if there was anything obvious that could be fixed. Taking the back off was a complete nightmare as it was sealed pretty well, that yielded no success. I contacted the manufacturer anyway to see what they would say about a repair under warranty. They asked for proof of purchase which was Amazon and then a few days later they arranged for it to be picked up. I was worried if they seen I had opened the back they wouldnt repair it as there is obvious scratch marks from where I had to pry the clips open.

Dude coming to pick it up had to drive for 3 hours from Newcastle. When he arrived he asked some questions about what was wrong and started to check it over. I noticed he had a Newcastle United tatoo so I casually started a conversation about football and Newcastle. Spent the next 15 mins chatting football and there were no more monitor questions or inspections, he put it in the bubble wrap and boxed it up for the repair, result Football is a great universal language that it pays to speak

Yeah the world cup was a nightmare. I faded Arnautovic cause I was banking on an Arsenal/Cech clean sheet and they actually played really well vs Chelsea. But hey. If any team can play well one week and **** the bed the next it's Arsenal. So yeah got punished for that.

Cant say I am not mad jealous atm for that invitation you got. Last time I went to an Arsenal game was last year February I think when they played at Stamford Bridge and lost 3-1.

Borken Monitor
The broken monitor got delivered back to me today fully repaired so good to get the setup back to normal. This monitor feels fkn massive now after playing on a smaller one the last few weeks I noticed my Stars setup seemed to be speedier without the bigger monitor on board so I had been casually 16 tabling the last few weeks. I dunno if it was from 16 tabling or playing on a smaller monitor but I defo noticed my eyes were getting sore after grinding a lot. Crusty eyes in the morning and a bit stingy

There has not been much DFS on lately cos of the international break and I am trying to avoid playing the ultra trashy 1 game showdown crap slates when I am probably more +EV jumping on Stars for a while. Here is one I played earlier complete with chat abuse from one my Russian buddies:

Dude then continues to give me chat abuse for the rest of the session. lol at getting berated for being from the UK by a Russian. As I say I was playing 16 tables so when this table popped back up and dude has 4bet jammed 100bb I took a few seconds to look at my notes on him. He is usually a short stacker by my colour coding so I felt he may be shoving wide to make up for his short-stacking-no-post-flop-skills. I used like 4 seconds of timebank and get abuse for slowrolling lol. I am always playing as many tables as I can manage and I have hotkeys for everything so I have to disable my hotkeys to give these clowns any chat abuse back so its often just -EV to bother with these trolls. I am pretty sure I stack the guys more often who give me chat abuse, they just tilt more vs me.


100NL
I am guilty as charged of only posting winning graphs, its better for my mental game I feel Here is a non winner from this year @ 100NL, I clearly still have some leaks to patch before I win there as its completely different to my 50NL graphs.




I was having a look over some stuff in HEM and excel yday. Found this spreadsheet page where I had been analysing stuff I have absolutelty no recollection of doing, which was quite cool cos it felt like somebody had done all the work for me and I just had to update the numbers from HEM to update it, will get back to that 2m hopefully.

Leaks
Speaking of patching leaks, the roof finally got repaired so my ceiling is no longer dripping. Dunno if I have mentioned this on here before but the building I stay in had to get checked last year after the Grenfell tower fire, they had to check and make sure that we didnt have the same type of cladding. Yup, you guessed it this bulding has the same/similar cladding that was used in Grenfell. It hasent been used througout the whole building only on the top two floors, but obviously I stay on the top floor. There was a big panic last year when they discovered it and the council wanted to come in my flat to inspect some things.

Anyway fast forward and I gets a letter about it today. The cost to change the cladding comes in at £800k There arent enough people in my building to cover that cost, intially I was led to believe the company that installed the cladding would have to foot the bill but think they might be out of business. The letter says that because its so expensive to remove the cladding they are proposing to just leave it there and instead install extra smoke sensors on the top 2 floors for the cheaper price of £19k wtf! sounds like a fkn health hazard to me to not have that cladding removed after what happened at Grenfell. It shouldnt be on the residents to pay for the removal either. There is a meeting about it coming up which is on a Champions League night where I will have a few k entered on DraftKings so dunno if I can make it although I would like to go this meeting, I will maybe try and do both.

Been bumping that new Eminem album all week for the daily grind so I'll end on that note.
