Week didnt go too well. Ended up down 2 BIs in EV but up 4 BIs on the green line. Think there is a lot to improve still.

50NL Yearly is now EV 2.97 after 60k hands.

Whatever happened to 5bet shipping AA, that out of fashion right now?

Thanks for the continued support boss. I still read your thread most days on my lunchbreak. Gl in dealing with that 10k downswing you had this month, sure it will just be variance and you will be back killing things next month. But I can feel that would be brutal to deal with.

Elsewhere, I stumbled upon this 2+2 thread about Stars accounts getting hacked. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...ility-1518891/

My Paypal account got hacked before and it wasent pleasant to fix so I know these things can happen. Decided to up my Stars security and ordered the RSA token from the VIP store:

Said when I ordered it to allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery so wasent expecting it anytime soon. Then what seems like the very next day a package arrives and I was genuinely like wtf is this? I defo havent bought any junk on ebay. Sure enough opened it and it was the RSA token, fastest delivery ever. Seemed easy to set up and should buy me some extra peace of mind.

Few hands. So was having a bad session leading up to this so perhaps tilt plays a hand. The villain here had been getting in my face a lot, he was flatting my 3bets pretty light and calling down, think he showed 76 one hand where I 3bet and barreled a couple times with missed AKs.

Dont get me wrong I figure there is every chance he has AA or KK on the turn but I also felt he may have been weak plus the presence of the Q can make him think I have the set and I obvs have outs to the flush and thought he would crumble to the Turn shove. Looking back Turn play is a mistake. Flop raise as well doesnt look good either now tbh.

That hand was a session ender and started to feel my run good on Deep stack tables was Over.

New Day, lure of deep stack was too strong so sits down and this is one of the first hands I play. Think both villains are fish but at the time I wasent sure and had no hands on them.

My river bet is awful, I usually would have got it all in here but just felt the board was so scary at this point that he might fold. If I knew he was a fish I defo would have jammed.

Thanks for the support man and i hope things can turn around soon As you said, probably just variance and it'll pass.

Hand 1: Definitely just call down, no point in raising

Hand 2: I don't think you should beat yourself up too much man. Betting this size is fine, as well as shoving

          Hand 3: booooooooooooooooooooooooooom

          Haha

Think the dude you are thinking of did not play too much 25NL. He quickly moved back to 10NL and I have never seen him since.

Would say 50NL feels normal now. Different set of bad guys, I still have the same leaks from 25NL @ 50NL and I get away with slightly less at 50 so difficulty rating does go up but wouldn't say it feels unbeatable or anything.

What to do with this job is the $64,000 question. Been thinking about this every day for 6 months and I am still unsure what my next move is. My 6 months contract is up mid August so I will get a meeting to be informed if I am getting kept on.

At the same time I am really soul destroyed now from doing this boring job every day for 6 months. I come from a creative background so doing boring repetitive stuff all day every day is really killer for me and I find my body is just rejecting it now and making me feel unwell and kinda dazed while I'm there and then needing to go to bed when I get home.

So dunno how much longer I can last. I could maybe leave this job and look for something else, that will no doubt take a while, so could perhaps give me a few weeks poker time to get some volume in, study some leaks, do some poker training. If I can get some decent volume going I can maybe push for Supernova this year which would be good to get to make a serious attempt at poker next year.

Yeah mate you need to get back in the game!

                    Session Review:

Feel I played well again last night but seemed to lose all the flips, 70/30s etc so not expecting anything pretty when I check my results next.

Felt at the time, I played this fine and I now see I was 85% on the flop and 70% on the Turn when the money goes in. Loose call pre was due to a big fish in the blinds.

vs 93 VPIP Whale again, disappointing thing here is he lost like 1.5 stacks the hand before when the whale got it in with A5o and his opponent held A4o and a 4 rivered, so his stack could have been a whole lot bigger here but nevermind.

Thought about betting the river here, but felt it was possible for him to have the 3c or Ac. Maybe just how coordinated it is makes me uneasy betting it so just took the showdown.

And lets have a new side goal. Get back to winning ways in the Fantasy Premier League. In a £10 entry league with about 30 teams. Won the league the first 2 seasons then had a disaster last year, so looking to make it 3 out of 4 this year.

Alexis and Aguero dont look like they are starting the season so decided to experiment with Depay and Sterling in the midfield for a while and looks as if Rooney is a striker again this season so Ill give him the nod upfront just now while Aguero is out.

Reckon Harry Kane is top drawer so expect another stellar season from him. Think Benteke will get goals at Liverpool this season and then the obvious selection of Hazard and throw in some cheap defenders

                            My starting squad for FPL:

                            Ruddy (Butland)
Ivanovic / Mertesacker / Huth (Cedric / Jones)
                            Hazard (c) / Depay / Walcott (v) / Ritchie (Wanyama)
                            Rooney / Benteke / Deeney

Now I have to work out how to get Aguero in once he's properly fit.

I may move in for Cedric if he is starting for Southampton already regret taking Oshea and only done that last minute cos it said Lescot wasent fit. Getting Aguero is always a pain cos it takes about 3 transfers.

Yeah, I chose Jones over O'Shea since he's apparently nailed on at right back. These pre-season predictions are generally wrong, though, so I fully expect to play my wild card in a week or two to get Aguero in and fix the mess...

Yeah mate Baines. I dont know if you are new to the Fantasy Football but here is some tips. When a player has a big red flag beside his name and "Unknown return date" its best to look elsewhere for a while

I do take PayPal as well you know, wouldn't want to inflict the evil Stars on you and dont want you getting back into them evil Spin & Go's either.

Yeah I aint spending any money on my defence this year as I've learned that clean sheets are an urban myth that dont happen much. Every year I regret not taking Ivanovic at the start then he bangs 4 goals in about the first 5 games, I then move in for him right as Terry takes over the goal scoring duties.

I knew Cedric had got that 1st Southampton assist today without even checking, typical. Was wanting to avoid any 1st week transfers but I may move for him tonight and punt O'Shea.

Anyway oh yeah Poker. Sunday grind. So Im getting some hands in when the alarm goes off on my phone. What is this for? Then I remembers that I want to get a Poker book on ebay that ends like 7 mins after my alarm. Opens up the browser cant log into ebay cos TST and HEM are hogging all my system resources. Few mins go by.

Grabs my phone to open ebay on that. Still playing poker here and the following hand comes up. History: me and this reg have been playing heads up alot recently to get tables started so a lot of meta game things going on and I just took 100+ bbs off him on the heads up table.

That capped off a good afternoon and think my last graph showed +5 BI for the week then another 4 today so all is well, except the fantasy football of course but we will sort that in due course.

In fact lets have new weekly giraffe since it should be looking quite smart now:

And you might have worked out from the above giraffe that +8 BIs @ 50NL does not equal $1,000. So I will come clean, I have been sneaking onto some bigger games at the deep stack tables since I seem to have a good winrate there, or maybe I am just running good. So got some experience at 100NL deep and this wkend I decided to open and have a look at a 200NL Deep table and I spots this dude who looks like a big whale giving all sorts of verbal everytime he loses a pot, so I took a seat.

I am the dude with the big stack and this is in fact vs Mr Big Mouth

Cheers mate, I did make a double check to make sure there was no end bo$$es like yourself at the table before I sat down although I did recognise a few screenames at the table.

I actually took quite a lot off the fish. Had a big win prior to the above hand. Then I had KTo flopped trip Kings in a big multiway pot but some dude from EP was barreling into me and I feared he had K with better kicker or boat so folded to the turn bet, then emptied the fish a few hands later.

Tbh I would be more comfortable sticking to 50NL right now. But I cant get any decent volume with working full time and I want to make a push for Supernova this year and I wont get that playing only 50 so gonna mix in some 100NL for the extra VPPs.

Im on 40k VPP right now so need 60k in last 5 month to get it. Ill need 13k VPP per month from now onwards. Think I got around 11k VPP last month. Mixing in some 100 tables, if all goes ok should get me close to the 100K mark.

Sorry for taking one of your 200NL fish BR was needing some padding from running under EV all the time. At least I lived to tell the 200 tale and I am sure teh TimStone will put me in my place at 100 so that I dont disturb the food chain any higher again

Got the book through from eBay that I documented before, seems good condition. Enjoyed reading it so far, nothing to do with the content just that it reminds of the $320 pot I won whilst bidding on it. Dont have any $50 bills for a bookmark so just need to go with the good old fashion £ right now. Maybe get some $100 bookmarks when I make any cash from that stake.

Couple HHs I wanted to post that I was thinking about at work today from the same table.

1st hand highlights a mistake I have made before. We are vs a very loose reg who likes to 3bet a lot and makes a lot of plays postflop.

The river is a disgusting card and the villains hand screams AK and I know I should prob fold. Then because I dont like villain and feel tilted due to the river card I start searching the HUD for reasons to call. I see that villain cbets the river 5 out of 5 OOP in 3bets pot and use this as an excuse to call.

In the aftermath I check and see that he only bets the Turn here around 50% which means he dumps a lot of weak hands on the turn, so the river call looks less appealing after seeing that.

I need to stop using bs stats from my HUD to justify a wrong decision where I know I am beat.

A few hands later, same table. The villain here is someone I have played over multiple stakes and I am pretty sure this villain hates me and there is usually some added friction between us.

Havent seen this villain play at 50 before and I know when he moves up to 50 and see's me playing here he is already pissed off that I have been playing higher than him.

When I see the flop, I know this guy is gonna think I am making moves on a wet board and trying to push him around cos we have history. Didnt quite expect him to react like this, but I snap called and just thought if he has me beat here credit to him.

Starting to feel the pressure a little of trying to make Supernova by the end of the year. Wkend is my main time to grind. This Fri I have a friends bday to attend and the Fri after I have a wedding to go to. Feels as if my grind time is melting away.

Tomorrow marks the end of the 6 month contract I have at this job. I am supposed to get a renewal meeting to find out if I kept on or not but nobody has said a thing about it yet. The pleasures of having a job, where the company doesnt even have the decency to let me know if I am getting kept on or not. I could raise the issue myself, but they might just say oh is that 6 months, goodbye. So will just take it week by week just now until I find out more.

This week at work has been made more difficult by the fact there has been Bagpipe practise taking place outside my work which has been going all day, all week. Come home yesterday and my ears were ringing with bagpipe music. Then today I come home and there is actual bagpipes getting played in the street now. Worried this actually puts me on tilt next time I play.

Thank god for this man, will be playing some more of this while playing to Detox my ears, loving the new album.

This felt pretty disgusting at the time. vs Reg. When we get to the river I watched intently looking at the board. The villain pauses for maybe 7 or 8 seconds. In this time, I was thinking if he raises here what hands can realistically contain the 6. I Ac 6c I thought to myself..

Then villain raises. 7c on board so he cant have 67cc. He could have 56cc, 68cc. Think if he had top set he is getting more aggressive on the Turn with the drawy board.

Checked his SRP River Raise, ~6%

Aiming for 13K VPPs this month. Only on 5K just now so will need to get some volume in.

Also had a moment of clarity this week where I figured what I may be doing wrong in the BB vs 1 Raiser on Button game. Gonna study the new gameplan for a bit then put it into action. This leak has been paining me for too long.

                                      Lets gooo

Looks like he has exactly 66 here tbh. Good you're sorting out your bb strategy, maybe you can help me with mine! Still don't know how to play that god forsaken position well.

I just dunno if he flats on the flop there holding 66 with this being 3 players on the flop. I am opening from UTG+1 and betting into the 2 players. He is being very optimistic if he flats there with 66 although I concede its not impossible for him to do so.

I just thought he would need to have a hand that has better equity to make something on the Turn. My Turn bet is quite big as well so even calling here with just 66 and a gutshot and is pretty wishful thinking.

Dont think I'm qualified to be giving you any poker advice yet, but if I improve this over the next 3 months ill let you know if I have in fact unlocked the secret to this puzzle.

I hope you have made the 20k this month for the jacket, then you can aim for a Corvette next
