The idea...
Hey everybody. My name is Andrew. For no reason at all I decided to try a bankroll challenge wherein I make $10,000 profit on Global Poker without a deposit. If you're not familiar with Global Poker, they give little bits of real money ($0.25, $0.50 or $1 per day depending) away in cashier each day that you can claim for free. I grabbed $20 worth of their giveaway cash over a few weeks and decided to try and run it up to $10k playing HUSNGS.

I'll be streaming the challenge grind on Twitch. I'm not familiar at all with Twitch or the streaming world really so I'll be learning that as I go.
As for this challenge - I plan to play 1-2 hours a day most days per week. I have to start at the $3 stake. If I bust I'll have to wait to reaccumulate free monies as the point is to not make a deposit. I'm not sure what my bankroll strategy will be but I'll have to be more aggro about moving up/down than advisable until I can get things going. I'll try to be on a regular schedule with the stream and make it usually start around 12pm central most days.
Some background
I've played poker since 2009 and I still play full time in 2021. I've played most formats of NLHE and have grinded HUSNGS primarily although I currently play 6m cash and live tournaments as well. In 2017 I final tabled the $2,620 Marathon event at WSOP and cashed for $92k. I coolered the **** out of people in that tournament and chipled the thing with less than 20 left but couldn't ship her home. Here's me tired and cold in the RIO during that event...
I live in Austin, TX and I'm a musician as well.
I play guitar in a metal band called Expander. We recorded our second full length album in Feb of 2020 right before the pandemic and cancelled a European tour in April 2020 that if we'd embarked on we likely would have been trapped in Europe for who knows how long....

I play bass in a rock band with my brother (who also grinds poker and lives with me) called City of Ships. We've recorded 3 full length records and toured North America, Europe and Australia with this band.

And I also have a solo ambient project that is synth/guitar music for chilling out. That project is called Cliffdiver and it's a recording project that I think of as a "no rules" music project. Longer songs with loose structure, no vocals or percussion. Imagine the Pure Moods compilations you'd see for sale on TV in the 90s...kind of.

Outside of poker and music I try to cycle as much as possible. I currently ride a Marin Nicasio 2 pictured here:
I've got two pugs - a fawn named Bugg and a black one named Flick. Funny story about the dogs; Two of my best friends are Dan and Dillon Ott - great dudes and sick poker players. Dan Final tabled the Main Event in 2017 and got 2nd place. My partner Stephanie and I with our two pugs were all on the rail and the dogs made it in the ESPN coverage of the Main that year. Here's me holding Bugg on the rail.
I love drinking beer and I usually want it every single day but I've had some success making a rule of no drinking on weeknights so I'm gonna try to stick to that for a while. Unless it's an occasion...or I'm traveling...or I have a really bad day at poker...or a really sick day at poker.
Follow along if you'd be interested in this sort of thing. For now let's see if we can get this bankroll off the ground.
