I got 10k put aside for poker, I want to post about sessions here and get feedback.

I don't want to reveal too much personal info so if I posts pics I'll be blocking out certain things.

A little about me.

Name: J
Age: late 30s
Location: Canada
Poker skill: Novice/amateur.

Reason for this is I don't have too many poker friends to talk poker too, so hoping this journal/thread will generate some feedback to improve my game (all feedback is welcomed).

I'll try to post as much as I can when I play but I can only play 10 days out of the month...work/life obligations.

I love poker and I want to be good at it.

If you haven't spent much time over at the live low stakes NL forum here, I'd recommend it. If you want to learn to crush these stakes, it's probably the best free resource on the internet.

10K should be a plenty large bankroll for these stakes, although being a novice, there may be some struggles along the way. At these stakes, especially when starting out, just stick to the basics.

1. Tight is right.
2. Small hands = small pots, medium hands = medium pots, big hands = big pots.
3. Be extremely tight in early position. If you want to play some weak hands, save it for the button.
4. Don't run bluffs on unknown players. Pick your opponents and spots carefully when running a bluff.

Good luck out there. I'm not sure where you play in Canada, but I've crossed the border from Detroit a few times to play there. There was a time Caesars Windsor was the best room in the area, but I've heard it's gone down hill. Hopefully the rooms are good in your area.
