What’s up guys?!

I recently moved to Thailand to grind full-time. I am rooming with a very ambitious HU grinder and we are both going to work hard and also improve all other areas in our lives!
Currently playing 100NL and am a member of a CFP program. We have a 100k Profit goal to reach and I am confident we will achieve it!

In this thread I will:
- Keep you guys updated on the progress (Graphs, hands)
- Talk about anything relevant regarding grind/life
- Set other life goals to reach and keep you guys updated on their progress
- Have other interesting discussions!

So far we have been about a week into the program. Cannot wait to implement my new knowledge into my game and cannot wait for the 1on1 coachings to start!

Little update.

Poker
Have been playing some soft untracked sites, been winning decent amount but cant seem to get used to software. Been playing stars on the site to track hands and review. Stars feels like home <3.

Idk what ill do about this in the future but atm feel super comfortabel with stars and pools feel soft.

We got quite a bit of material to study which is going good. Still have some vids to watch today even though it was supposed to be my day off.

At some point my green line and yellow line had a fight but green line went into the wrong direction WCYD... Hope that long term balances out yadayada

Since huge dip at 9k hands mark might not have been playing A-game but not playing super bad either. Gonna focus more next sessions though.

In general kinda reacting well to this ****. I feel commited to the poker grind so even though I rage a bit sometimes, I still know that theres no way aroudn it and gotta just stick and grind it out.



Life

Songkran day was ****ing amazing. This is the thailand new year aka water fest. Me and my flatmate went to the city and people ****ing hyped the **** out of us. Not a fan of external validation but **** felt good Was a bit difficult to find normal pretty girls, especialy western girls. Need to work on night game a bit more perhaps.

In general where we live there are not many "normal" girls, mostly working girls. I saw 1 or 2 extremely nice ones, but dont feel comfortable with the idea of paying and **** - just not my style. Maybe that will change if the run bad continues haha.

Overall feel pretty happy with decisions so far. Still up a bit of money pokerwise and up a **** ton in EV across all sites. So expected to go better in the future

End of Months results (about 2weeks of play)


Stars (arodn 80% 100z, 19% 50z, 1% 200z)


Untracked sites: +1307 (some RB included) USD (-700 pending complicated haha)

Tracked RB: 640 Stars + 485 Untrackedsites = 1125 USD

Staking net: -175

Monthly overall: 1338+1307+1125-175= 3595 USD ~around 5000 EV(-700 pending)


Pretty happy with results for 2 weeks of grinding. Played a total of around 45-50k hands. Obviously running largely below EV so that extra 1.5K would have been sweet but lets run better this month.


Almost sorted everything out in thailand so far. Just one more thing bugging the back of my mind which I will try to sort out with asap. We also started taking nootropics but not sure if they have been working yet.

March will be one hell of a grind. GL US.

Basically they are supposed to enhance your cognitive performance. I was skeptical at first, but I actually think it might be working, at least a bit.


Week was good, played around 10k hands on stars. Had a nice coaching session with Nick and discussed some mental game stuff mainly that was really eye opening. This was at the begining of the month. I needed some time to integrate what we discussed and I think I was misapplying it hard in the beginning, but after reviewing with a study partner what was going on I think I fixed the leak and since then graph is going up again. Running solid on soft sites as well even though I had a bad tilt session.

Overall things are looking good and I need to start playing more 200nl and getting more used to the swings.

Half of Month Update
Been going through a bit of downswing at 200nl (soft site + stars), 100nl has been going well though on both, even though I had a rough start on there too.

The downswing came with a couple of mental game issues I identified, specifically with my fear of failure. This allowed me to dig deeper and I feel like some things might have clicked now

Either way I noticed I finished 50k hands on 100z and really feel like I want to complete the 100k hands. So I will probably put most of my volume in there. The 200nl swings are still weird for me and I want to get used to them slowly.

On soft sites I played around 25k hands this month so far and have been curshing 100nl, but also running not so well on 200


So yeah, plan is to put main volume in on stars 100z now to finish the 100k hands and then start focussing more on sticking to 200!

Rest of life is going well too, had a really chill off day with jetski and facial spas and massages, and also met a cute normal girl here Also skyped with my parents (which i had some huge issues with due to my life decisions) and we resovled a lot which felt great too. Loving life atm and happily focusing on poker <3

100k Hands nowadays pretty standard for zoom. I play 4k hands a day as my set target.




Weekly update

Week was going amazing until I hit a nasty downer 2 days ago. Overall I feel mental game was super strong, barely affected by it if at all. Through the week i stuck to my plan of playing 4k hands a day nicely and just grinded it out no matter how much up or down. I feel like towards the end of the session im more in the "book the win" mentally sometimes still which has to change.

BIG MONTHLY UPDATE

Hey guys, i had a long discussion with Nick the other day and we came to the conclusion that it is best for me to leave the CFP. At this point, I am not really willing to talk about any details and don't think there is a lot of merit in doing so anyway.

It is indeed very unfortunate that this ended because I had high hopes for the CFP and my relationship to Nick. I also valued having a mentor and guidance in this period of my life, but things don't always go the way you expect/hope them to go.

This being said, I am confident to tackle the upcoming challenges on my own/with my friends and am looking forward to June.


Results this month on stars are not really worth mentionning. Crushing 100z like always but ran extremely bad at 200z.

Mental game this month has improved a **** ton. I don't really care that much about my runbad at all at this point. Just looking forward to June and the incoming grind.

Lifewise I am happy, albeit having a bike accident last week which took a lot of my energy. Luckily, no serious injuries, but my poker volume last week has been a joke because I simply did not feel like playing at all. Girl investment has been starting to show some fruit. Im onto about 3-4 girls that might show some promising results and potentially Ill finally have some plates to spin over here. I also found a girl that looks 1to1 like the pornstar veronica rodriguez so gl me.


Moving forward: My flatmate ran not so good this month either so we both decided to take 3 days off and enjoy live and get back to a sick june grind completely refreshed. I took on a horse to play 100nl on a soft site and hope that will turn out well. Personally, I am looking to focus almost completely on 200nl+ in June and put some volume in some soft sites. I was also talking to a known staker who would be willing to stake me for 400nl on Party if I decide to go for that instead.
