Thank you. I will propably start the challenge when i will return from my vacations. As i said there is a decent chance i will get bored but i would like to give it a try

@Baltic i am on vacation but i got told the lobbies are quite slow. Didnt play much and definitely considering other options

I have ManUtd to win Premier, Juve to win Serie A and Real Madrid to win la liga. Moreover i have many bets on over/under goals on specific goalscorers but there is not point to write them now as most of the bets are not available anymore

Mozart is a classic example of someone who possessed prodigal talent, to the point it was effortless. IN the play Amadeus Anotnio Salieri is disgusted with the hedonistic lifestyle and seeming unearned grace of Mozart's compositions. It is a fixture of popular cultere: a man who died at 35 was so very blessed that it was sufficient time to endow the world forever with his art

It all a lie. Mozart's father was obsessed with learning how to teach children about music. A composer himself, he began regular lessons with Mozart at the age of three!. Many historians estimate Mozart performed 6000 hours of deep practice beofre the age of six, the time when most of us are getting rocks in our shoes at kindergarten

Have a nice summer all

Beltha, updates? Saw you been crushing high stakes sngs lately

I was going to do an update a month ago, due to some health issues I was unable. I didnt have much time to grind and I was distracted way too often. I plan to do regular updates again, once every 15 days for highstakes and once every 3 days for the challenge

Life is very weird since Vegas but I can get back to a grinding mode (finally). I am quite optimistic about the future and I had enough time to figure out what I want and create a solid plan

I am starting a challenge from 26 September 2017 until 26 September 2018

Goal:

100 000$ pre rakeback profits grinding 6 man hyper turbo sngs (25bb)

Rules:
-Starting with 700$ in 7$ limit
-Moving up / mixing next limit every time I reach 200 buy ins
-Moving down / dropping highest limit every time I hit 100 buy ins or less of the highest limit

Most people I talked to believe it is not a sustainable challenge and I will drop it in the first month while others believe I cant make 100k profit even if I continue the grinding

From my perspective it is a good chance to see where hypers are standing and try out new strategies. I dont know how many hours I will put each day as it will be a part time achievement

which books do you think are best in terms of success, not in poker theory?

Some good regs in that playerpool.

GL! That's going to be some massive volume.

There are many good books about success but if i had to pick two then i would suggest
1) Think and grow rich by Napolleon Hill
2) The science of being lucky by Peter Hollins

Days 1-5

Graph Challenge:

Breakdown:

CTD:

Mixed feelings so far. I enjoy grinding in the morning hours but I dont like playing that low hence the low volume so far. I am planning the future and a transition to MTTs seem more likely than ever but I will wait until the end of the year most likely

I will try to post one fun hand per update. The things I observe are hilarious. Kinda miss the old days when 1000$ sngs where popping like crazy but Amaya had a different view. Even party poker seem weak to step up. Their support to my emails combined with the botting reports seem highly unlikely to attract more players in the near future

Galfond doesnt even know when their site will launch. Even though I trust his ability to run a platform bigger than pokerstars, I cant expect to happen in the near future either

Currently reading Outliers: The story of success from Malcolm Gladwell which is a very interesting book but nothing to learn and apply in my life so far

Hey thanks

I am not sure if i will continue playing that low. I have to load many hours every day in order to get 80-100 games in high abi. I feel really tired every morning with no motivation to load 7$ when a few hours before i was loading 1000$. Lately i have severe eye strain even though i use flux. I prefer big session like 5-6 hours straight and i dont like breaks which affects my issue

I will try to do regular updates from whatever i play. I do enjoy keeping a blog alive because it improves my focus. It is like a diary even though it is public and less personal

When AA preflop isnt good enough:

    Poker Stars, $193.52 Buy-in (30/60 blinds, 6 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #37843078

    BTN: 579 (9.7 bb)
    Hero (SB): 1,321 (22 bb)
    BB: 1,100 (18.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A A

BTN folds, Hero raises to 150, BB raises to 1,094 and is all-in,

    Hero calls 944

    Flop: (2,206) K J T (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    Turn: (2,206) 6 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    River: (2,206) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: 2,206 pot
    Final Board: K J T 6 J
    Hero showed A A and won 1,103 (3 net)
    BB showed A A and won 1,103 (3 net)

Get the Flash Player to use the Hold'em Manager Replayer.

I am still reading Outliers which i enjoy but there isnt anything i can take in real life yet. I can only understand a bit better why certain people think they way they think

Tomorrow i am starting a second book ''achieve anything in just one year'' by Robert Moore. I will read one chapter per day from this book and try to implement it in my life

Last but not least, i strongly recommend Blinkist app. It is an app which has the strong points of a random book for free each day. You can either read it or listen while running errants. Really helpful app

Two days ago i listened an audio book ''The productivity project'' by Chris Bailey. He recommends writing down three goals you want to achieve each week. In the beggining of each day write down three goals you want to achieve that specific day. I think it is the best way to stay focussed and i will definitely try this

One of the worst days of my life yesterday. I felt like I was running into top 15% in every single hand which isnt fun. I should be happy because I recovered some near the end but I cant. I was just losing ev no matter what. -8% ev are never good

Anyway new start of the week and I will follow the advice from Blinkist's book ''The productivity project''*by Chris Bailey

    Three weekly goals:

    1) Grind 700 games with abi higher than 300$

Back in the normal grind. Some health issues a relative person had is in the past now and I can focus 100% on my grinding routine. I am getting 12-15games per hour so I need to work for around 55 hours which is the sweet spot according to another book from Blinkist ''Make your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life… And Maybe The World'' by William H. McRaven

    2) Renew my membership to the gym and read Kinobody ''Aggressive Fat Loss''

I havent trained for 5 months so far. After Vegas I didnt have the mood to do anything. Moreover an injury playing football was a big obstacle to train. No training, too much booze and ice cream for a while and back to zero.....or more likely to 96

    3) Finish Outliers and one more book this week

I thought about this a lot. I was leaning to have a goal about the challenge but I wouldnt like to feel more tired when I have to grind 9 hours every day. Especially when the games are running in a decent pace lately

I will continue the 7$ challenge but in the beginning the volume I will put is totally random

    Until next Sunday

Everyone should take a look at this podcast. I first met Steven three four years ago and we had a brief chat. I felt admiration on how he approaches life. We arent best friends neither we talk regularly but my admiration remained the same

He has one of the strongest mindsets i ever met. Steven is a life crusher

The dude is winning 300k+ this year with ev around 100k and he thinks he is God. He keeps thrash talking me how **** i am hu while he is running way too hot as you can see

But monkeys gonna monkey. Also he called me names but when i stood near him on Vegas he didnt even lifted his eyes. He is the classic anorexic keyboard warrior kid who is travelling with his dad

He did promised that he will introduce himself the next time. Cant wait

The ego-warrior mental resources u spend could really be invested more profitable

Don't even know that dude, he ran lucky, so what? That's the deal, some ppl have to be lucky for others to drag ev money from that card game. If he does himself, bad luck from the grinder pool perspective, but no one to blame for randomness.

Hell week. Pretty much bricking everything. I can be happy with how many hours I was loading, volume and abi but nothing else. Nothing is good when you lose that amount in such short amount of games. Many new accounts playing and some very bad regs are suddenly loading 1ks where they used to play much lower abi. Just saying

Gonna take 1-2 days off to do a massive review and back at war

    1) Grind 700 games with abi higher than 300$

Didnt. Quite happy with the effort though

    2) Renew my membership to the gym and read Kinobody ''Aggressive Fat Loss''

Failed miserably on this one. I could blame my run in poker but I will not

    3) Finish Outliers and one more book this week

I couldnt finish one more book because I picked Painless Poker which has near 500 pgs. I did read 57%

I enjoyed Outliers. The book is about studying different cases of success and try to explain the factors which led there. Interesting reading

    https://www.amazon.com/Outliers-Stor.../dp/0316017930

On a sick downswing atm, kinda hate and love everything at the same time

    YTD:

I am thinking to start playing some 30-60$s spins on the side when my games are not running to maximize my hourly. Also the only format that offers ev deals which will be the best for my rigged account

    Books ytd:

Will post weekly goals after my 2 day review. Gl all (not the ones playing 6m enough luck you had already )

    Ciao

Ps I stongly recommend watching Brookly Nine Nine
