Hey guys,

never did one of these threads before but I'll give it a go for 2018. So, bit of a back story, I've been playing poker on and off for about ten years. Played NL100/200 Rush before BF and after that had a few years grinding midstakes on Microgaming and Ipoker. I've also spent a few years working a regular office 9-5 but am playing poker full time at the moment.

The reason for me starting this thread is to get me motivated to work harder next year. I felt myself slipping behind the curve as I used to have a decent winrate at NL200/400 but somehow found myself back grinding NL100

I've put in a decent amount of work into poker this year and will hopefully get back on track and make some $$$ for the next couple of years before transitioning into a different career. Will probably keep grinding the Zoom games next year but after they took away my rakeback ; am thinking of trying other sites? These are my results for the last six months or so.



Goal for next year is 100K. Need a big improvement in volume and quality of play to give myself a shot. Anyway, have a good Christmas guys and good luck to all still grinding it out in 2018.

Hey guys. Just gonna do a quick update on the year so far. I have been checking my results and reviewing hands only at the end of the week which has been kind of a breath of fresh air as I don't have to worry about how much I am up or down on any given day. Especially helps on those days when I'm getting clobbered

Anyway, this is the year so far. Got off to slow start and couldn't really get much going in January but ran better this month. I'll do an update only at the end of every month going forward as thinking/posting about poker too much makes my head hurt.

very nice start on the year! Im also trying not looking at my BR every day. It feels really good to stop focus on the results every session. do you use any stoploss or anything like that? Thats the only tricky part imo. GL!

No stoploss man. I did in the past but I've been playing since forever and don't really get affected by swings as I'm sticking to stakes where it's not going to hurt too much. I find concentration is a bigger problem these days. Not sure what the best fix for that is outside of the usual stuff people recommend.
