Poker:

I recently finished tracking my 1000 hour of live Poker in my app. I started the blog to keep me motivated and to share and discuss poker stories and other interesting stuff.
When there are bigger games in the area I’m happy to play them, but 90% it’s 1/2 No limit holdem, which I beat for 40$/h (The games I play in are awesome).

Goals in Poker:

Play at least 70 hours per Month
Play the higher cash games as often as possible. These games are only running on Friday and Saturday and most of the time, I choosed to go out with friends instead of playing. I want to play at least 1 time on weekends.
Fixing leaks and improving my hourly to 45$. After all my sessions I’m finding hands that I could have played more optimal. I probably pay my opponents to much off.

Cryptocurrency:

I invested a lot from my winning into Crypto one year ago and it was worth it
Exactly most of my money is in Komodo. From while to while I’m doing some freelancing stuff in the community. If you are interested in Crypto you should check out their homepage:

https://komodoplatform.com

One World:

This connection lead me to the idea of founding an aid project in Burkina Faso where it is possible to donate with Bitcoin/Komodo and other coins. We organised a team, to help the people building their school in Burkina Faso. After this first step, we want to implement solar energy plants, to get the people connected to the world. A lot of my ideas and thought progress turned up after watching the following documentation about our World:

Tomorrow: https://www.demain-lefilm.com/en

For me it was quite mind-blowing and have to recommend it to everyone! Me and my family extended our existing garden and it got awesome. I will share some pictures later on in this blog.
I would love to interact in this blog so please feel free to ask or send me a private message. I’m planning to update the blog at least 1-2 per week on the shortly described topics, but the main focus is in Poker.

The Hand i had the most struggles with: 400bb deep AA in the SB against Reg and Fish

Description of the reg: Winning player, good understanding of poker theory. We are friendly to each other but we have some history of 3b/4b. He calls my 3b down to K10o if he is in position. So he still have a pretty wide range. He know's that i'm doing some hero calls from time to time so he is value betting light.

Fish: Complete drooler who calls pre 95% of his hands. On the flop he is also way to sticky. No understanding of poker at all, just there to loose his money. Is already down some buy ins.

Hero: 1000
V1 Reg: 700
V2 Fish: 320

3 Limper, reg opens to 14, fish calls on the button, hero in the SB with AA makes it 62, rest folds and reg in the cutoff calls, fish also calls.

Flop(192): 1067 rainbow

I put V1 on 22+, all kind of suited connectors, maybe some one gapper, Ax, KJo+
V2 can have every possible hand except 72o

Hero bets 86 with the intention of folding out V1 and getting it in on the turn vs V2. Both calls. Do you go larger on this flop in a 3b pot? I run good with smaller sized bets so far.
Do i go broke for 350bb or what is my plan in the hand? It's so hard to play, because i don't know where i am in the pot.
There is 67,89 and all kind of sets who has me crushed. From what kind of hands do i get value from V1? jj+

Turn (450): One of the best cards for me a 2

I tanked for a while and decided to put V2 allin for 210. Should i check the turn? There are so many awful cards i don't want to see and i want to protect my hand while getting v2 stacked. The only problem is if V1 decides to get it in. Can i find a fold then?

your hourly might be the result of variance. i wouldn't try to fix your hourly to '45' but instead try to play better. keep your focus on what you can control and just accept the luck involved in poker. good luck in poker and changing the world!

I definitely feel like beating the game for sure and 1000h is quite a good sample for live. Do you really think it's possible that i run way over expectation and my "real hourly" is just about 10 or something? Doesn't feel good to think about that

I know that i can't change the whole world, but everybody can start with his own one. I'm really looking forward for the strawberries to get ready

There is always an error with uploading the picture. What do you use for 2+2?

Played the best hand in my life!!

I just came back from a session and have to share this one, i still can't believe it myself, sitting at home and just laughing about it:
Hero: 700
HJ: 210
Button:200

Fish in the HJ opens over 1 limper to 10 (his normal opening with good hands was at least 18 --> my instinct started here)
Other passive fish calls on the button like he did a lot
Hero see K8 in the SB and decided to try to steal the pot with a 3b to 46 (I know it's spew with this hand and i normally just fold it, but with the read, that he has the bottom of his range, i tried my luck)

Both players called and the flop came (150): J 6 7
I started this so i'm going to hope the c-bet ends it
Hero leads for 64, V1 called very quickly, tossing his chips in making a "strong" sound. Other Villian folded (after the hand he told me he had AKs )

Turn (278): 7 I already had the feeling that he is on a draw but how sure can you be? So i decided to check, kind of giving it up, because what i'm doing here with K8o?
Villian checked it so fast that it seemed uncommon. His strange behavior increased my feelings about his draw.
River: 10
Hero thought some seconds to push it allin, but if he has anything he is going to call me and the 10 hit's his range. To be honest i was also kind of afraid to trust my reads 100% at this moment.
Hero checks and Villian pushes allin right after my check.
I instantly asked him: if he is on a missed flush draw
His reaction looked shocking and he wanted to fake a laugh.
I told the dealer that i'm going to need some time about me decision.
I watched him and finally asked him: if he is going to show me his hand if i'm going to fold. He mumbled out a Yes
At this moment i wanted to call, but i was afraid of him having a K or A high flushdraw. I took some seconds and announced my call. I asked him to show his bluff. Did someone lie about his hand in a Situation like that?
He looked at his cards and pushed them into the muck. I asked the dealer if they are gone and showed him K8o. I think he folded the best hand. Afterwards he tilted away 3 stacks in about 25 minutes.

Overall i played a pretty bad session, i spewed away 3,5 buyins, but after this hand everything went on my side and i ended up with a plus of 800$
This is the story of how some reads can change the outcome of a session like hell

im saying you don't and can't ever know what your true hourly is. it will always be changing and you can't control variance. focusing on your hourly is a waste of effort. am i making sense?

I got your point, but the winrate was kind of important to me to figure out if it's worth to play poker. If i would have 15 after 1000 hours i wouldn't try to live from it. But maybe you are right and i look it up way to much and just should focus on my A-game.

A lot in life and poker happens

I had some private struggles and took them to the poker place. Don't play when you are in a bad mode, mistake learned. I thought i can put it away more easily.

There was no table for holdem so i played a some omaha.
I flopped the nuts and got it in as a shortstack. Trippeld up and booked a fine win.

At the holdem table i ran pretty badly. Got it in in favor and got crashed.
Bluffed away on stack at a 5510102 board, against an obvious 10. My reads are so wonderful and he can fold his 5. Didn't learned on this mistake!

I went home pretty soon after loosing 700, because my mode didn't went better.
In the morning after this night i saw a 2/4 table running, which is quite rare. So i went there and it was 5 handed with 4 regs and a complete whale.

In this hand i'm very new at the table and didn't understood the table dynamics and that this guy is paying with everything...

V1 limps in MP I opend at the button with 9js to 16, bb calls. Board comes AK2 with a flushdraw. I cbet 2/3 and he called. Turn the A and the flush comes in. He lead for 70 and i put him on a K or a weak A and thought to raise him off his hand, because my range is so much stronger than his and he has to let it go. (For me leads are not that strong most of the time)
Hero raise to 200 and he thought about folding but decided to call.
River is the 4 with the fourth
He checked and hero put him allin for 260 more. I thought this is the perfect card to bluff him off. He ended up tank calling with A5
Well played hero
If i would knew him how he had played afterwards i would have never ever choose this line!! He called an allin of me on a 547j board with 52 and ended up making 2 pair.
I paid a reg of with 2 pair where it was so obvious that i'm beat...
Just played a horrible session of 2/4 where everything went wrong. During this session i received a pretty bad message on my mobile phone. I got my stuff together and played some good hands ended up with "just" a minus of 700$

I noticed for myself not to bluff away complete stacks the next time.

Saturday night Session of 2/5:

Table Dynamics where soooo much fun! There was a guy who called everything up to 50$ preflop without looking at his cards. I watched him and he never looked at his cards preflop. Called everything and just checked every flop. WTF?

Hero limps UTG with 45 (With the intentions of probably check raising or playing a multiway pot)
6 people to the flop:

AA9

Villian: I stacked him of at the beginning of the session with 88 on a 5644 board. He had 77. i
Winning player on the tighter side not much more reads.
He in the HJ played 20 and everybody folded to me. call
turn 2: c/c
river: q
Hero bets 90, V1 raise to 210, Hero raise to 500
I but him at leas on a A or A2 for a fullhouse. I wanted to raise him off a fullhouse. Whats wrong with Hero? Nice read that he can fold it because my range is so much stronger. He would have raised A9 and AQ for sure and probably he only has a flush draw on himself. It's completly useless playing hands like this when there is another guy spending all his money. I was wondering about myself that i didn't tilted in this session.

My overpair got cracked from 85 against another reg i have a huge history with. He called an open for 15 and i made id 60 with QQ. 3 people call and does he really gets the odds to play this hand OOP against 4 people. I would say that's not profitable. He put it in with a flushdraw and a gutshot. We where still talking about this hand with another reg and funny as he was he called me down with 85 again, making 2 pair on the river....

I stayed focused, got a lot of good hands, flopping well, and ended up with a huge profit of 2100.
What i was most proud of, was the fact that i switched tables when the blind calling guy only had 100 left. I knew 2 huge whales on the other table and got the only lucky one who ended up playing there. At the other table 7 regs where battling each other
From the other table i made all the profit and everybody wanted to change but it was not possible

I played 2 more Sessions where i run up my Stack from 200 to 1400 in 1 hour of play. I ran incredible good.
Yesterday i played a homegame with the stacks of 2/4. The table was full of regs and i donked away 600, making 2 awful calls.

Yesterday i met a good friend for dinner and i told him my idea of organizing a Charity-poker event at my local card room. Today i wrote them a Email if it is possible at their location and what my plans are. What do you think about the idea? Could be a fun Event

I will get you updated! Maybe some of you are near by and want to play the tournament. There is a nice bounty on me and my Team
