This is my first goals and challenges thread . I'm looking to improve my game and move up to 500nl on stars. I'm currently playing on FTP to rebuild my roll. Played up to 500 zoom in 2013 on stars but hit a DS and never really recoverd. I have put ALOT of work in to my game as of late and recently hired a very good mid- high stakes coach. Playing on FTP 100nl is boring as Bat... most of the regs on there are horrible. Wanting to make 10k at 100nl before I dump my roll on stars and move up to 200nl. Roll is at 6k atm. Based on the player pool it shouldn't take me too long to move up.

I also work fulltime so it isn't an issue for me to shot take and fall short, although I'm doing it the right way this time.
My last 10k hands at 100nl have been a bit of a dream, regs are all bad and almost always bet when checked to. The key to beating 100nl is attacking capped ranges and having a strong checking range. Hit a tiny DS last night, just ran into the tops of everyones ranges in the space of like 10 minutes so decided to call it a night. Only been 10k hands atm but winning at a nice 21.71 bb/100. I think I can win at 10bbs over 100k sample so trying to do that!
I will be posting some funny hands aswell for the LOLS, love some good chat also so other party regs feel free to jim in. I'm not outing screen name at this time.

When you say transfer your roll to stars from full tilt I'm sure the two sites have merged player pools?

Hi all,
Just pludering away at 100 zoom on Party. Pretty annoyed at my volume but have been doing some deep tourney analysis, decided im playing the high roller event and the main on Party Poker. I'm working fulltime and its a shot i'm willing to take. Definitely on top of my game at the moment so looking foward to the grind!

Here is how my week is going so far, running like 5 BIs but YOLO, mainly people getting it in bad and running like god. Doesn't effect me at all. I just laugh. Regs are on party are pretty fun to play against. Really loving the game at the moment, Fixed a leak of mine where i have been pretty aggro towards a nit reg and its taken me a while to adjust. DEFINTIELY a huge leak, i need to adjust quicker to certain players. Trying to get 100k hands in and make 10k at 100nl zoom. A challenge i think is definitely doable. It would feel like a pretty big accomplishment that i can tick off and be proud about.

You think zoom on party is much softer than stars?

Umm i wouldn't say its softer because the ratio of fish is much higher on stars but the regs are the smartest either, i guess we will see when i move back over to stars. The regs on party all play the same style.

Nah the bots all play the same style, the human regs are on the "spectrum" and weird.

Okay! so little update guys!
I have been playing a bit the past couple of days, up like $400 or so. Got absolutely crushed this morning just due to bad card dist, running into the tops of ranges yada yada yada. Anyway stayed strong and grinded my way out of it. Did some off the table work aswell. Binked a 109$ mtt on party and also won a couple of buyins at 200 when a huge whale left our table and joined a 200 table.

Well what a week! This week really challenged me mentally. I have never ran so bad in setups and runouts in my life, took alot to not throw my new laptop out the window and cry. Took about 10 short breaks the other day just due to run bad. I find if i run bad and get sucked out on, i do a short walk lap around the house and grab a drink of water and by the time i have gotten back to my computer i have forgotten about it.

Challenge is just shy of 3k profit, really loving the game and everyday i'm improving.

Here is last weeks hell graph. volume was pretty average because i was a bit busy so will try and smash that next week. Looking for 3-5k hands a day on average.

some advice : know that you'll always run worse than you ever thought possible if you're looking to play poker long term. Not looking at results can also be beneficial, guess thats less entertaining for the thread though There are no good or bad sessions, its all one long session and each day's result is meaningless, just focus on the next good decision and be detached from day to day results, even the positive ones. Thats the GTO happiness strat GL!

Thanks very much for the kind words. I think i'll just look at results everyday or so instead of during a session, its a bad habbit of mine and can sometimes tilt me slightly. Seems like GTO happiness is the way to go

Hey yall!
So poker has been going quite average, ran really poorly the past few days. Maybe its because at the times i have been playing on party there have only been 20-30 players 90% which are just station regs.
Going to pick my roll up and move to stars ASAP i think!
Don't really know why my redline is dropping so much, usually my redline increases.
Im going to add some hands that i think i need to review so any help would be amazing!
