As a fairly successful player a few years ago, I left poker due to work/family reasons and didn't think I would ever be back. Last month however, I watched my friend on the Sunday grind and couldn't believe how in the space of 4 years how much had changed, but not just that, the massive increase in prize pools.

I've deposited $100 on Full Tilt and plan to mainly play small stakes MTT's ($2-$4 max buy ins) and want to see over the course of twelve months if I can reach 5k and beyond. My winning player friend has been coaching me over the past month and has got me to grips (I hope!) in how the game has evolved.

I plan to hit this hard for Jan/Feb so will write a weekly progress update.
