Situation with my ex-gf now going weird. Yesterday we spent nice day together, go out for meal in nice restaurant, go walking outside in nature, then back in her flat cuddling and talking. But then things turned very badly when i told her that i go on vacation for 2 weeks soon. She was heavily pissed and complaining that i am not asking her if she would like to join me for the vacation

I mean she is my ex and yes we spent the last 4 weekends together, but we both talked that we close again, but not enough to start relation again. Also i stayed over night, but no sex. So why now out of the sudden she is thinking that i should ask her to spent the vacation with me.

I analyzed the games on the highest buy-in level that i play and oh my,
looking to the recorded hands the level there is even worse then what i felt during play...
this level is sooo easily beatible after just running maybe 50 simulations to get a grasp on the most important situations..

my win rate is a heater, this is still way to high to be sustainable...but that i beat the game for a stable ROI is so out of question as well for me. I just see so crazy stupid mistakes still. Actually there is totally no difference in quality of opponents no matter if i play 16max sat's for 1,10 $ or 7,50 $ tournaments.

I am also getting closer to Sharkscope leader boards in this total peanuts stakes.
In 3 of the 6 buy-in levels i play i am now within the top 100 of about 20000 players.
I will reveal my Pokerstars Nick (that is the only site i play) once i am in the leader board of not only a single buy-in, but in the whole range of games < 2$.

In 4 PS nick. Still won't actually see you unless you start playing "High" for whatever reason.

What simulations, are you using PIOsolver pro for nanostakes?

Actually that is how it worked when i did small challenge for myself 2 years ago in some other format. Result of my challenge was that in 2016 i was top ten of the category "Any games 5 to 6 players , Superturbo under 2$"

So it will be basically opposite, If i start play higher, rise up the stakes to make more money, i will not be in the leaderboard because my results are spread over the stakes. If i remain playing low, i will be end of the year in the leaderboard for "Any Games 2 to 3 tables under 2$"

For one specific buy in level i am currently already number 11 out of 27000 players

No, in that shallow stakes games i play it is all about analyzing all details of push and fold decisions. So i use Icimizer and HoldemResourceCalculator for that.

I started moving up a bit.

Start of challenge: $ 1,10 - 5,50
Step 2: $ 2,20- 7,50
now: $ 2,20 - 11

Buy in for all of them bit more then 1/8 (as there are 2 places , 16 players)


Results 11$ are terrible. 7 games, all lost.
But it was clearly terrible run, not skill.
SB Push run 3 times into big pockets (KK, QQ, JJ).
Lost 3 or 4 70% favourite situation
Even lost 93% favourite which is in hypers a rare gem (all-in on flop, loosing with two pair to a runner runner straight)

But was able to still make slightly positive session (40 games + 1,14$) by beating the other stakes hard.

Results in $11 is OK, play more, play 1k x $11 donkaments and try to bink it. However due to Stars rake change I'm not really sure, due to softness I think yeah, still profitable, but other sites offer 10% rake + rakeback not 12% bs rake on Stars.

Nope the shallow stack Satellites i play are totally not about any Postflop GTO play at all.

Zoom up to NL10 is incredibly soft and i probably would make still more there at the moment, but my potential to move up is limited. And simply i love that kind of short stack tournies very much. I guess i have some potential to move into some mid stakes games at some point and then certainly make more then with Zoom.

16max Satellites is not about bink one game. It is about playing 1000+ games and winning more then the 12,5% of games you supposed to win by statistical average. My profit the first 900 games comes from winning roughly 14% , rather the 12,5 %.

Good volume, looks promising that i reach my target of 1000 games before my vacation starting next saturday.

Good i am tilt resistent. I guess loosing 3 times AA in one row would have otherwise good potential for tilt

Can you explain what is the problem with adding the rakeback ?

My idea when adding it was that the overall bankroll includes the rakeback. So the real profit includes both the winnings and the rakeback.

I will remove rakeback if you explain why i should not add it. And if i understand that reason

Back from vacation already 2 weeks, but find it hard to start poker again with super hot sunny wheather and soccer world championship going on.

Anyhow today i kicked in my first 50 games since vacation break. Running very well. Winning almost 18 $, reaching another small milestone, i crossed the 100$ winnings.

Not really. Thoose reading the blog from start know that 10.000 bucks is for me more or less insignificant. Nice of course, but it does not change anything, i would just add it to my savings, i would not buy anything more compared to what i would do without that additional money on top.

Hmh, it would be, but there is very little comments here to the blog. So i guess there are not much people following it. Just some people browsing bye from time to time. So i guess it motivates a little bit to write here about it, but no major deal.

Goal orientation - Ego:
I guess that is it. I have always my life enjoyed setting up goals and reaching it. I have been semi professional in some sport during age around 22 to 27, later i set goals in my research career. So yab i guess that it what makes me click and motivate myself.

Basically the 10.000$ is too long term to motivate consistenly. That's why i set up myself some additional goals for this year. It is about volume and profitability. Basically again about ego, my target there is to be end of the year in top 20 sharkscope list for that games i play concerning both volume and profits (Any game 2 or 3 table; < 2$).

Results:
Kicked in another 81 games, running hot at the beginning, then sort of cool down loosing streak of 25 games in a row, then normal. Overall again running good, profit of 27$.
