Hi poker players. . .

So I'm starting to play regular poker and wanting to improve my game and a thread on 2+2 may be a good place to post and discuss some hands. As well as document my progress (or lack of it).

About me .. I'm 28 - live in Manchester UK . . But right now I play on acr due to previous degen habits that had me self exclude on poker stars and other sites (888, party) - took a break and now I'm back like the terminator.

What do I want to achieve and what's the plan?Well my goals are:

1- To grow my account balance from $100 to $1000 playing on ACR before end of January 2018.
2-To play at least 50,000 hands each month
3-To follow BRM

....the first step is to move up to 5NL

4- Move up to 5NL with 40BI

**once I have reached 1000$ I'm going to withdraw it all and transfer to pokerstars as my self exclusion ends on 28th September there**

I'm playing 12 tables - tried to experiment with up to 18 but results suffered and hit a 6bi downswing as a result. . I think 12 is my sweet spot. . .

Will post a few hands and my giraffe of results since starting the challenge after tonight's session.

Since the start of challenge. working through a downswing. But I will call that variance.
Also been experementing with number of tables and different table management software which I think contributed to the downswing but hey ho.. up we go..

Updated goals... focusing on worsted rather than volume so goals adjusted .

Played up to 16 tables yesterday and all decisions were too rushed ...currently around 2.5bi from start of challenge.

I know for a fact that I can beat 2nl ... so will keep on going . .

10x your money? be more ambitious.. you need to sort that redline out. stab at more pots aggressively when your opponents show weakness, be less passive

Well to be fair 10x my money id be more than happy with. It will all be for poker. So it will just mean I play higher. Agree about the red line...have played the micros with a positive red line before so I think it will go north soon enough. The issue was too many tables...can now take my time with decisions.

Defined 5NL shot taking BRM :
125 = one 5NL Table and three 2NL (all 2NL at 115 until back to 125)

150 = two 5NL Tables and two 2NL. (All 2NL at 135 until back to 150 then two 5NL)

175 = three 5NL Tables and one 5NL (all 2NL At 160 until back to 175 then three 5NL)

200 = four 5NL Tables (all 2NL At 180 until back to 200)

Then same process for going up to 10NL .... always moving up by adding one table at a time ...
