Yeah, I'm going with as low risk of ruin as possible. I'm perfectly fine with finishing challenge in 6 month total or so. I hate gambling tbh.

Day 53 - not my day. 2655$. Quite long break even stretch day wise, but we had many days off and hand wise stretch is just 5k hands or so. Tomorrow will probably be the final stream of 2016, so tune in!

Thanks! Not sure I want to go much into private details. I've been playing micros for living last 2 years or so, and I had never played NL100 before this challenge. I don't play on any other site atm - just challenge full time. Before that, 888 was my main site.

I suggest that you check with their support if they are accepting new participants. Also, now it is a race to top 3 finishers (max 3x10k prizes). I started before this term, so it's no race for me thanks God If you think you can make it in top 3 - you'll have to go really aggro with BRM, 10 BI for limit or even more aggro in beginning. Pool is soft, NL25 is better than NL10 due to rake. Also gotta adjust Asian time zones, which is actually great!

Day 55 - final stream of 2016. Won at cash, and I went on to play those push/fold games 3h before server midnight to win the prize money again. This time, I had little preparation yesterday - I put some ranges together for 8bb poker and it worked well. I was able to break even EV wise, but ran a bit above and made 10$ in those 3h + 90$ prize money. Such a sick value, more than 60$/h with my 2x x-book. BR 2857$!

Day 56 - tilting beginning, but managed to rostucko and some profit. BR 2927$. Cannot start a year with a losing session!

Day 57 - finally cracked that 3k mark, so 10k hand b/e stretch is over! BR 3123$. Gotta start adding more and more NL100 tables, still I don't feel comfortable there, but games are not much tougher and I know I can crush them!

Been few days since last update. I'm not gonna go on details, week has been with good volume but tilting run at tables. Still a winning week, so I shouldn't whine about it. It looks like the lack of volume at the end of December will show impact for the 3rd month profit. Hopefully we get a heater and the month will turn out great! I'm mixing 2 NL100 tables now on avg, so just a 10 BI heat there will do it.
Day 61 - BR 3190$.

Week has passed, so gonna write something here.

Day 66 - BR 3802$
Overall all right week. Weekend off and Monday will be the final work day in 3rd month of challenge, so probably gonna update and post graph then.

1) Few days ago

Day 67 - Played just morning session where I won some and decided to call it a day just to finish the 3rd month on "high". Yeah, I don't possess perfect tilt control so I try to rig favorable conditions for my mental game. BR 3960$.

Month 3 update: 1470$ profit. ~300 less then 2nd month, could be either to 1) variance, 2) running very hot in 2nd month (which is basically same as variance), 3) Due to shot taking a higher stake. It's probably due to running hot in 2nd month as I'm winning well so far at NL100 (lol sample), and hand wise I played only 5% less this month - I though difference was higher. Funny, but I made 2/3 of profit in last 5 work days. Anyway - it's still almost 3k$ month after my x-book!



Month 4 goals:
1) Have a solid Monday-Friday 10-18 schedule, I was doing 11-19 lately, but ending 19 is too late for having balanced real life;
2) Increase hands played by 15% - you don't get to play that many hands at N8 as game play is almost 2x slower, so it's not that easy to get hands in;
3) Read (book) at least 30 min every day avg (have to make 3.5h weekly);
4) No less then 3x work outs a week (with work out I mean running or xc skiing now in winter);

Day 73 - BR 4157$

Made 355$ this week. I suffered ~10-12 BI downer at NL50 mid-week, so OK week keeping that in mind. NL100 "shot" still going strong, I feel more and more confident there. I plan to shoot at NL200 at 6k mark.

I wanted to update yesterday as I completed my 3rd sub goal, which was a long stretch from 2k->5k. There will be just 5 total sub-goals, and I think this stretch was 2nd toughest after 100->1k stretch. Now it's just a walk in a park till the end. Or not, who knows.

Sub goal 3 - 5000$ BR, completed.

Sub goal 4 - 7500$ BR.

I had a small loss today, so now we slipped back below 5k mark, but still a good week! Made 808$.

Weekly update

I'm here to announce my first loosing week of this challenge. -445$, and BR now stands at 4520$. In my defense I'll add that I ran 650$ below EV and it is a +200 week EV wise, so what can I do. I didn't play my A game as well, as I got a bit tilted from running really bad. I had only 1/5 winning days (3/5 EV wise). Overall in this challenge I'm running with like 75% winning days, so I'm not really used to losing so often.

Yesterday I almost had my biggest losing day ever as I reached -600 (ended "just" -200), and I was playing only NL100 for most of the time, and the thing to look out for in future is that I kept playing bad tables just because I ran bad and "sooner or later I'll make a hand". It's a bad approach especially when I only get 15% RB for challenge. I can only do as many actions per minute as I can, and I should just leave bad table and even drop down to juicy NL50 table as EV there will be higher than reg filled battling.

Cool thing is that my Twitch stream has gained enough traction for Twitch to give my channel an option for viewer to change video quality, so now I can stream with 720p

Weekly update

**** is going down hard. I had -600$ Tuesday (only NL100 tables), other days were pretty aids as well. I'm getting every kind of cooler you can imagine. I was running OK for most part of challenge, but this is just the very bottom line you could expect. Total -650$ week and BR has shrunk to 3871$. I'm probably not playing that great due to all the beats - I play much better poker when I'm winning. I'm having the weekend off, and then we got 4 more work days in month 4. Currently we are -100$ for month, so expectations aren't very high. It looks like challenge will get on hold for some period of time to grind life roll unless I get on a sick upswing that brings me into NL200 and keeps on going.

How are you posting how much above/below EV you're running? Are you able to use some sort of tracker on GG?

They have built in tracker called PokerCraft where you can see some lines. For some reason they have it rake-free, so graphs/reports are useless but can see the difference in winloss/EV and hands played.

We are still having a rough stretch in challenge, can't really catch a break, but probably spewing fair share as well. I took full week off, but still pretty much breaking even since and BR is a bit over 4k. Pretty sad, but I knew run like this was likely to happen, all I can do is deny spewing and wait for upswing.
