Problem is I get so tilted when someone minbets the flop and turn with J8 on a AJK5 board that I start raising them out of spite lol. I simply have to stop doing this.
Now that I'm basically on short stack strategy mode with my current bankroll, should at least help make my decisions easier. No more guessing as to their hand strength on the flop and turn, wondering what they could possibly have called me with preflop. Just ship it in and hope for the best!
Since this challenge is a first for me, I think I'll probably restart it once I bust since I have so much to learn at 1/2 cent. This was kind of an experiment here, hopefully next go around I'll have a little more info on how best to handle these types.
I'm also interested in employing a few new strategies like overbetting flops and such. Fish WILL fold, I just dont think pot sized bets really threaten them enough. To them, it's only 8 cents on the flop. Why fold to a cbet? I suspect many of them may be calling with pair draws, that is drawing to hit one of their overcards, or possibly nothing at all, they just dont feel inclined to fold to such small amounts regardless of the pot odds they are being given. But if I make the bet count, if the bet clearly shows they have no move left but to get it allin on the turn, maybe then they'll let go of more hands. If they call then clearly I'm beat, and I'll be making some silly folds on later streets after having invested over half my stack for sure. But you really do have to "find out where you are" a lot of times, since you cant just say "he called and the flop is 456ss, I can put him on x range of hands".
If your playing 1c/2c or 2c/5c 9max, Shove pre with AA or KK, you always get a caller with some average hand like A10, 99, 88, KQ etc
