Hi,

I deposited $10 on PartyPoker 16th of May and trying to make it to $10.000.

I managed to win a freeroll for a 150k sunday tourney at Party and came in 73th boosting my BR with 400$. I started on 2NL ( not intending to play what I'm rolled for, but rather beat each level).

2NL Graph 6max

I found it difficult to find players online at the times when I wanted to play so I decided to move my BR to PokerStars for more players and better bonuses.

So I left Partypoker with 550$ ( tourney + PP bonus + winnings )

Today I started playing at PokerStars 5NL Zoom. I got a free 3$ Spin & Go Ticket, which I came in 1st for 18$ ( mini boost ) and 23.5$ in winnings.

5NL Zoom 6Max

So my current BR after 1 month = $592

My intention is to move trough the stakes from 2NL to wherever my skill will take me
Current Goal is $10.000

Book that im reading: Crushing the Microstakes 2 'modern small stakes' ( Any idea for other Cashgame books )

I hope to receive some support/feedback from the 2+2 community. I can posts stats/graphs/HH if you guys like. Iil try to upload every day.

Thanks and get Subbed

Thank You RisBa. I have read CTM 1 also. It covers good basics for Microstakes. Good luck and let me know if you open your own PG&C thread!

Day 2

BR: $613
Hands: 7851

I had a rough start with 4 Tables 6Max Zoom. It felt a bit swingy and variance heavy. I had a few badbeats, coolers and made a couple of mistakes. You can see my results in the graph below:

So I always played 6-9 tables regular 2nl 6 max before moving to 5NL AND Zoom... Today I tested which suits me more, In a way of 'comfortable' playing. No rush, stress and hasty decision making.

So I fired up 4 5NL FullRing Zoom tables. And the results are shown in the following graph:

The Zoom tables are IMO good for volume, but I had a hard time getting info on my opponents and putting them on hands.

So I switched to 12 tables of FullRing 'bumhunting'. I really liked it, I had no trouble thinking for decisions and it came more easy and natural to me. Color coding fish, player tendencies and bumhunting haha

12 tables of bumhunting.

Although I made a few $ more on the Zoom FR. The overall play experience was less swingy and stressy for me, which is nice.

Total 5NL graph of today with FullRing marker.

Sorry for the long post with graphs!

I will continue my 'old' way of playing at regular tables for now.

Thanks for reading!

So what do you recommend grinding on microstakes at PS? 6max or FR? Seems like FR is treating you good haha.

Goodluck with your challenge!

Hi Earth (lol),

IMO I think its very personal. Do you like to play more hands and be more agressive then you should play 6Max. For me FR seems to be more 'calm' or less 'stressy' I can pick better spots to play my hands. I'm not totally nitting up since I switched from 6Max.

I used to run 26/20 on 6Max and now Im about 20/18 ( trying to ), because many people are Nit's in FR, So you switch gears and loosen up your game, steal more, 3b the nits.

But then again, its all personal preference and my Zoom 6max, zoom FR and regular FR are tiny samples. But FR felt more smooth to me
