Tyty, and the $7s definitely are pretty soft from what I've heard, I think for the best players a 7-8% roi is attainable at them. I've been scouting out the $30s the last few weeks and sometimes you get games with 6 regs in them, usually every game has a few fish in them....coming from Merge where I got 6 regs in probably 70% of games, these PS games will seems rlly soft.

5 days til Mexico! Getting excited :).

Prolly not doing much today, I think I'm going to have a cool opportunity though, my backer is going to hopefully be signing one of my friends to a deal to start at $7 hypers with me coaching him, and hopefully quickly getting him up to $30s. Will be my first coaching for profit deal ever, so I'm pretty excited, and besides that coaching/reviewing lots of HH's for someone else constantly makes you think about your game and improve. So yea, I'm pretty stoked for this, hopefully get that going in the next couple days, we all agreed to a deal last night over skype, just gotta take care of the paperwork.

Anyway, gl to everyone playing today, think I'm going out to a friends tonight for a little party, no games for me today :).

Anyway, getting vaguely back on-topic (or off-topic, ymmv ;)) I don't think this has been asked yet, so, do you think the (presumably different structure in Stars' hypers, which start with antes from the very first level, will change things for you much?

Also, I know you used to use ninja, and you mentioned it again a few posts back - are you aware that Stars is beta-testing hotkey functionality built in to their own software?

And in terms of the structure, there are definitely a few things that are added into the game to make them more "complex" than just shoving or folding, which is pretty much what happens in the merge ST's since we start 10 bb deep and it goes straight from T100 to T200. I've been working on studying some HH's the last week with a buddy that plays the $30s, and the first 2 levels can definitely be weird with you having 16+ bb's a lot, but I think I'll quickly adjust.

And I had heard that PS is beta testing hotkey functionality, but I haven't read into it at all yet...but I'm sure Ill try it out and see how I like it. Would be pretty sick if they got something nearly as good as TN built right into the software.

Yea def +1 to you both that everyone has different tastes, I wasnt actually trying to start an argument with the threadsavers, though I think it's been funny that it's been discussed :D.

Thx Cody, appreciate the backup :). Just to expand on this idea, I realize what I am....I am a RB grinder and that's fine. I don't claim to be one of the sickest poker players online, although I think being one of 9-10 guys winning pre RB at Merge super turbos, while playing more tables than anyone else on avg does deserve a little bit of respect but that's just my own personal opinion. You look at some of these SNG SNE grinders, and they just get their asses handed to them pre RB, some of them losing 40k+ before their SNE money/rakeback....I think i have a legit shot of making $'s pre RB and to me that seems like an accomplishment in itself, if I do end up making SNE in the process.

Had a pretty awesome night last night chillin with a couple of my buddies. We started off the day by putting a new sway bar on my buddy Daryn's jeep, was interesting because the brackets were Fing stuck and we ended up having to take a sledgehammer to it which was pretty lolz. Anyway, ended up getting the new swaybar on so now the thing won't ****in feel like it's going to tip over when you're driving/riding in it.

Anyway, then we headed a couple towns over and had dinner at this new Mexican restaurant where my BFF Lori works and had some good grub and then headed back to my place and we just drank and played CoD til about 4am. Was a good time hangin out with those 2 one last time together on a Friday night.

Cleaning up atm from last night, then prolly gonna play some more CoD as like 5 or 6 of my friends are volunteering today at the Special Olympics, then I think we're all heading out to Bdubs (Buffalo Wild Wings for you non US folks :D)to get lunch/dinner, and after that not really sure what's going on, but I can assure you that I'm not playing pokerz :D.

Damn another thing I totally agree with you, SNG wiz sure sucks, once I used it to base my play on I runned +2% roi at $3 turbo sit&go's. Once I throwed it overboard and started to think myself I runned +20% roi over a large sample.

I was a bit in a pissed off mood about several reallife things so don't take it too personally. And yes I'm jealous at $100k a year but that was absolutely not the reason for my rant :)

I swear to God I think 95% of people have no clue what being a rakeback grinder means!

It doesn't mean that you can't beat the games for a decent ROI. It means the marginal benefit of adding lots of tables>the marginal cost, and therefore you play a s**t ton of tables. Naturally, as you add tables, your return per table is going to be less, but still positive. To put it simply, you are absolutely maximizing your $/hour.

The reason Josh (and pretty much everybody on Merge) has a low ROI pre-RB is because of high rake, the fast structure, the high percentage of decent and good players, and just the general nature of the ST's. If you make $60/hour at these, that's just as good as the cash game player who makes 10BB/hour at 3/6 (including RB).

I know a lot of the comments ITT were joking, and that's all good. But to anyone who was being serious I would just like to say: You are a moron :)

There are bankers (and other professions) where the main bulk of their income comes from 'bonuses', which they earn by earning their company moniessss.

One thing I am definitely going to be doing is getting my setup redone on PS. I bought a table mod a while back with another person, but haven't set it up yet, so definitely need to do that and I need to DL tableninja on this new computer as well. So gonna do that for sure, this is the mod I bought btw, seems pretty solid and it has a TN patch which is great.
